Genshin Impact is known for many questionable design choices, but one thing I think they do extremely well is conceptualize their Archons. I thought it would be worthwhile to make a video highlighting the five playable ones, as well as speculate on what the last 2 would be!

I hate I lost my 50/50 with Furina. Shame bc she's so busted. I'll have to wait bc I didn't want to spend money like I did with nahida. I've figured out idc if I can't clear abyss 36 star. I'll be happy with the 550. Hsr got my attention since launch.
what's your take on the Pyro and Cyro Archon
I agree with the general idea that they are all extremely well designed. I also agree that I think that's Murata will be a main DPS. I have a video (which I will link) about what I think should be in her kit. The question that I want answered for her will be if she is a persistent DPS or a burst DPS. If I were to guess, despite pyro being often consider the big oonga boonga DPS, since Raiden is already burst based, Murata will be persistent. But that's speculation on my part. As for the Tsaritsa, I'm not fully sure what she'll be yet. We need more information. However, I'm willing to take a stab and say that there are two possibilities for her kit. As a believer in the slime theory, I'd say that she will either have a dropping ice ability or a ice mist ability. Personally, I'm voting for the mist. I'm also going to guess that she's very, VERY freeze oriented. Like, potentially has a passive that increases the duration of freeze on a target. But again, that's speculation. We'll learn more after Natlan.

I dig a headcanon about the Tsaritsa that she'll have two modes, like Furina. Kinda in a nod to how the Delusion changes physical aspects of a Fatuus' design, not changing the body per se, but acting like some power up armor. However, instead of being a support in one mode and a DPS in the other, it would be about how she manipulates Cryo. It could be something like changing from single target DPS to AoE DoT, as it gets colder

I really love how the archons embody the main aspects of their element and also something beyond the limits of the standard genshin system.
Consider this, venti with crowd control, with the ability to let any character fly on spot, surpassing the traversal system.
Zhongli with his incredible shield, that's permanent in terms of duration and geo representative, and also surpassing the damage aspect of genshin.
Raiden, with energy recharge for electro, and going beyond the standards of the genshin system not only by surpassing the energy system by universally batterying and also providing permanent electro application, with limitless duration with her skill cooldowns.
Nahida, with permanent dendro application with her skill cooldowns, emblematic of the reaction centric dendro meta and also going beyond the internal cooldown system by functionally giving enough dendro application to be near infinite.
Furina with permanent healing and hydro application for hydro's healing and reaction meta and also susrpassing the healing system of the game(and also her ludicrous dmg buff).
The archons not only represent their element brilliantly but also surpass the system of the game in a way going beyond the mortal characters.
I think one of the reasons genshin didn't get powercrept so fast is because the devs have done very well at diversifying the gimmicks. They don't have to release a stronger version of the previous characters in order to make the character more valuable to pull for.

As a Zhongli enjoyer he has the worst kit, worst signature set and worst weapon.
Same with Venti to an extent, dude keeps getting powercrept.
I'm collecting them anyway. Currently have Raiden, Venti, and Nahida. Planning to get Furina but tempted to get Neuvilette instead.
My guess is that the Tsaritsa will give us cooldown reduction.
Bro forgot that zhongli was also a powerful opponent but look at him ingame he's just a shield bot & i hate that why isn't he a dmg dealer like seriously just one part of his kit would have been enough, & seeing how other archon's are basically centered around being the god tier support characters i wouldn't be disappointment if they made pyro archon a 5*bennet. Let's not get our hope up we are talking about hoyo here they do what they wanna do ñot giving a fuck about player's in the least

honestly, we just need more pyro supports. i know the likelihood of Murata being a support is slim to none, but g o d do we need it for mono pyro. tbh, i'd take her being both support and dps. Lyney just needs more, and Thoma or Xiangling just don't cover for what characters outside of the element do.
speaking on the idea of her being a general type, support and dps like Ei would make sense, boosting the damage of her team while also boosing and doing big damage herself.
there was also a theory i heard not to long ago that there might be two archons instead of one, though it's a long shot. it could be a case for the archon and sovereign to rule over Natlan, sorta like Neuvi and Furina. if that's the case, it could be split between the two, one is pure dps, while the other is a support boosting said dps. we'll just have to see
Guys can anyone tell me if I ascend my AR level then will I need high pity too? Like I want a character on 70-85 pity so should I stay on current AR level for some time until I get that character??
Excelent video my guy, keep it up! Just my 2 cents here but if Murata will be really an on field dps/main dps she has to literally have the highest multipliers bar none for her to "compete" and be considered an archon (either that or Bennet Shippuden)!

I wonder what the two Archons will be best off.
I hope Murata will hold something that aligns with offensive speed based augmentation (both atk speed and movement speed), or all type penetration at her base level if not then she may be a dps herself. I see pyro as the element that represents passion. So it feels like it's only fitting that overwhelming fervor is characterized by unstoppable speed with piercing attacks. The sharpest weapon that cuts through anything like a the brute force of a raging Volcano.
On the contrary I see Cryo as something that brings restrictions. I imagine Tsaritsa will massively hinder enemies both in atk and speed. I mean whenever we are affected by cryo it's only minimal but we do get slowed in terms of movement speed and animation. Now just bring that up a notch then enemies would have no time to disperse and their attacks will hit like wet noodles. The frigid embrace of the coldest winter renders even time at a standstill.
Now imagine these two things put together. You are super fast and your enemies are super slow. It's absolute madness. Literally you and the enemies are playing on different speeds. 😂
This is just my headcanon but I sure do hope at least some of it may hold resemblance to the future. 😅

If you continue the thread of combining the meta with lore, it kinda makes sense that Venti is the weakest of the 5 available archons, and can even be outclassed by mere mortals with an anemo vision. Archons derive part of their power from the control they wield over their nation, and Venti deliberately has a hands-off approach (despite very much still being the active archon) because he is the god of freedom, and he wants his people to be free to make their own choices. (That's also why it was so easy for Signora to just drop kick him and take his gnosis, it's not like Venti isn't powerful but he lacks brute strength by choice.) So him also being the weakest archon in the meta, while also having a powerful anemo-related niche, makes a lot of sense. And there are anemo users out there who have invested in raw strength the way he's chose not to, so him not being able to hit numbers as high as Xiao or Scaramouche also makes sense.
You could draw a similar line with Zhongli, where both in the lore and the meta he began as insanely powerful, but isn't unwilling to acquiesce his dominance to others, especially mortals. But he, like Venti, will always remain emblematic of what their respective element is all about.
Btw! Murata was the original pyro archon, and we know that none of the archons are the original ones except for Venti and Zhongli, so the current pyro archon can't be Murata. We do know she's been referred to as "she," so the current one is a woman (unless that was a writing/translation error), but she won't be Murata — or Murata won't still be the archon. It's possible that Murata will be the one they release because someone usurped her power and then she reclaims it or she was killed and now she's been reborn or something like that, or there might be someone totally new as the current archon
