why freeze decks are BROKEN – Genius Invocation TCG | Genshin Impact

Genius Invocation TCG is housing lots of powerful decks, and as Genshin Impact’s first game-extension, there was bound to be a similarity in the meta. In this case, it’s freeze teams! Or rather, freeze decks. So this video will explain all the basics you need to know in order to get started with 2 of the strongest freeze decks in the TCG as of 3.3!

  1. Personally a big fan of Quicken decks because I really like using Collei and Keqing, but Freeze is soooo annoying to deal with… I might use my Oceanid and Chongyun to make one myself.

  2. Darkest Dungeon is a PVE game, but it had problems with the "meta" revolving around Stun, which would take an enemy's turn away and you could potentially get through an encounter stun locking the opponents. The way they solved it was giving any character that becomes unstunned get a 50% stun resist buff for a round. In Darkest Dungeon 2, they made it stun much harder to apply in the first place and what takes its place is Daze which forces that character to act at the end of a round

I think something like either of these could work. Although if we rework the mechanic entirely, I would just make freeze a debuff that makes you unable to switch team members or a debuff to damage. Probably the latter because the former actually opens itself up to other kinds of abuse

  3. I use a deck with Oceanid, Chongyun and Jean! its really good against AyaYoi decks because of Jeans skill swapping preventing Yoi from building up energy. Also has great survivability with Jeans healing , end phase damage with Oceanid summons and Jean dandelion field, and of course some freeze mixed in.

  4. 7:32 Its 5 on its own. 2 from Ayaka, 2 from Xingqiu ult, 1 from freeze reaction. The sixth damage comes from Ayaka's elemental skill card, which adds 1 damage to her cryo infusion and allows to swap to her for free once per round. Now, I wonder if it would be feasible to have a Ayaka, Xingqiu, Yoimiya deck Ayaka cryo infusion into Xingqiu ult for freeze into Yoimiya ult for instant 8 damage, with Ayaka's elemental skill card and a sword equipment that would be 10.

  5. In a game that is a damage race, tempo is king, and Freeze SEVERELY jams any decks tempo by shutting down a unit for a WHOLE ROUND and also messing with your opponent's dice management. Not all elemental reactions are created equal and Freeze certainly has the potential to sit heads and shoulders above all the other reactions.

  6. I use Mona, Ayaka, and Kaeya. I love it when I have Kathryne on the board, and all the character swap cards, and have Kaeya's burst on. With Mona and Ayaka's passives, I just free-swap to any character and the ice shards just fly.

  7. there are actually ways, to counter decks, that only rely on freeze with any deck. everything that works with a slow tempo, is really strong against it. summoning, healing, food, quickswap, expensive support cards and one shot characters (diluc burst).

  8. U want OP OTK deck? I suggest u to try Noelle, Bennett, Ningguang/GeoLawachurl. Use Ningguang if you want more survivability cuz ningguang can provide shield. Use lawachurl if you want big PP dmg cuz believe me, the geo lawachurl hit really hard by itself alone.

The strategy is to get bennett's and Noelle's burst ready. Make sure to bring some geo-related cards and artifacts. Bring food that reduces normal atk die consumption and give the adeptus food to noelle right before she uses her burst. Put WGS on your Noelle and Aquila Favonia on Bennett(optional).

Once the set up is complete, you are free to completely destroy the enemy deck. I've been using this team both in singleplayer and co-op battles. And it's so satisfying to see my Noelle doing 7-10 DMG with her normal atk after using her burst.

  9. Skimmed video right quick to see if there were any fun decks with no Ayaya in them… nope. Oh, well. Someone in the comments says they use Oceanid, Chongyun, and Jean, tho, so might see how fun that is to play around with.

  10. I came up with XQ, Ayaka, CY freeze deck at Player level 3 or 4

I came up with it without realizing it's universally overpowered because I have ayaka as my PFP, therefore i need to get her first, and then get characters that can synergize with her

I started with XQ, Ayaka, Sucrose but Sucrose did nothing for the majority of game, and so I tried Chongyun.
Then I found out Chongyun was just perfect, he helped subtitute cryo application and freeze opponents while trying to get XQ's second burst up

Few plays later, I knew the deck could be more optimized, so I maxed out Dawn winery, Katheryne, Leave it to me, and that rosaria's card (whatever it's called). I need to be able to act before they could act or build up more strength, this is known as aggro play, or you could say that the freeze deck is part of aggro-deck category (A deck that focuses on defeat omg the opponent with low/medium attack ASAP before the opponent could build up too much power)

This deck might still be the least complicated deck (this is because I'm sure there are other players who came up with this insane deck on their own) since the TCG is still pretty new, there are bound to be other more complicated decks that the community have yet to discover

  11. is there a proper guide for the blizzard deck ? i feel like im playing the deck wrong cuz i saw at 3:27 that its possible to freeze all 3 but idk if its possible to do it in one turn nor how to do it

  12. I just hit “concede” whenever I see that the opponent intends to just freeze me over and over. I’m sorry but it’s just not fun to play against, and I have better use of my time. Even the permashield Noelle/Lawachurl comps are more fun to tackle than freeze. I want to play, not be forced to not play.

  13. this really counters my noelle OTK deck but i build energy on noelle and switch to fischl and apply every enemy with electro (i also build buffs on noelle like gravestone gamblers and that food i forgor💀) and use some quick switch card to suddenly switch to noelle and perform OTK cause they got no dice

  14. I have a deck I called "ANNOYING" and it's Ayaka, Diona, and Rhodeia. I completely dragged an Ayamiya melt deck with it. I felt a little bad for the Eula pfp. I had like three Hydro mimics eating their ass at any given time lmao
