  1. Beidou was one of the character i really really really wanted when i started playing, her straightforward yet slightly mechanical playstyle was perfect, not too easy, not too difficult. I also got specially lucky when i got the 5 star energy recharge Claymore from the normal banner and she started destroying everything. To this day my friends kinda call me for any difficult boss cause they know my beidou will probably kill it super easily. Landing that perfect parry is one of the most satisfying things in the game, and while i do have Diluc, i feel his playstyle is just…to much bonk and bonk stuff till it dies. There's not that much thinking involved, he's my second abyss team dps, but Beidou will always be my first DPS and the one i love the most.

  2. I don't think that the uniqueness really hurts her. Although her long CD and short duration of Stormbreaker really are irritating, with the recent new 4-star claymore, her energy recharge can sufficiently charge as long as you take her out to use her skill once in awhile. The split directions of her skillset allow her to step up to the role of main DPS in the worst case that your main DPS dies and you need that little bit of damage to finish the fight. While she would prefer all of the stats that you put up in the video, the fact that she can benefit from HP allows her to still benefit from imperfect artifacts that rolled into HP a little.

    Although I do agree that electro reactions need a buff, Beidou's unique role is that she's essentially a wildcard for support/main DPS, unlike Fischl, who leans more towards support (she still can be main DPS, but her burst is really meh for that), or Keqing and Razor, who DEFINITELY leans towards the main DPS side. Lisa and Electro Traveler also lean more towards support, but they seem to need to be on the field for awhile, unlike Beidou, who can just come in, burst/skill and leave instantly.

  4. I still wish we would get Baal opinion of Beidou since Beidou similar to Baal slay a giant serpent. I wonder what Baal think seeing a visionless human slay a giant serpent.

  5. Beidou was such a blessing to have when I first didn't invest in shield characters… although she's benched for now but I will come back and build her properly

  6. Hey now, don’t sell Beidou short.
    She is the only 4 star (and probably only character with the exception of Zhongli) that I see content creators use to solo boss monsters while taking no dmg.
    Her skills kit literally provides everything:
    Burst damage/AoE = her counter
    DoT= her Q
    Shield = her Q
    And did I mention her counter?

    The only thing she is missing is some sort of self heal, which is best supported by Xingqiu or Bennett.

    The only requirement to master her kit is that you actually have to study monster moves and fight mechanics 😛

  7. i still use beidou. she is pretty easy to use. i like her E. i use it like a parry, wish the CD was even lower or reset under some special condition.

  8. When they were still just teasing character portraits prior to launch, I saw Beidou and immediately told myself "I WANT HER!" hahahahaha as the video said she's not a unit for all circumstances, but for the fights where she can shine, maaaaaan when I hit perfect counter every time I always check how much damage she dishes out then bite my lower lip in ecstacy hahahahha

  9. I think you missed the big elephant in the room. Basically all end game content is timed. Waiting around for an opponent to strike simply doesn't work. And given the massive amounts of resources to bring a character to end game level, Beidou is simply a bad choice.

  10. I mostly used beidou outdoor, she pair really well with xianglinh, and if u stand on bruning grass that thanks to gouba she could just perfect counter everything and do some 80k for me

  11. I've wanted to use Beidou for ages because she just looks so badass, but Lisa has been 'locked in' as my main electro DPS for a long time, and I got Diluc fairly early on and he quickly became my main claymore powerhouse, so I've never really found a way to fit Beidou in to my team. (not to mention that I had a high level Keqing and Fischl too, so I've always been doing pretty good for electro characters)

    However, I recently got my Yanfei up to C6, so I decided that I HAD to try and fit her in somehow, and with the introduction of Inazuma and the fact that we're now having a lot of sword fights against Samurais, I figured what better time to build a team around Beidou?

    To be fair, she is actually pretty awesome to use! I'm really enjoying her and I'm kicking myself that I didn't use her sooner!
    Admittedly, that team is being carried a little bit by my level 90 Barbara right now (I'm @ AR 55, WL 8, so my level 80 Beidou and Yanfei are slightly under-levelled for Inazuma…), but they're more than holding their own, and that team have potential to be absolute beasts with a bit of work!

  12. i dont know how to feel about her… the thing about electro is that it has no place in this game…
    Cryo – permafreeze, superconduct, melt – all really good
    pyro – vaporize and melt are amazing
    hydro – freeze and melt, both amazing
    and then you have electro… Overload actively hrts your dps by getting enemies away from you, electro charged doesnt really do anything and then you have superconduct…
    so basically electro characters can only be used for 3 things – raw damage, physical enabeling or being a batery….
    if you look at beidou, she doesnt really do physical damage, and there are not many cryo physical dps characters (except eula), she is not a batery and she requires a batery to function…
    and when it comes to raw damage it only really gets good when there are exactly 2 enemies…
    12 – 1 – first half has a weird electro shield also she does nowhere near enough damage, second half – electro cicin… xddd
    12 – 2 – first half hydro abyss mage and electro big guy – she literally does nothing, second half is purely single target – useless
    12 – 3 – you could use her there but you could also use literally any other character instead…

    i love beidou, she is so badass
    she is so badass that when she starts burning she can PERRY the fire and destroy it…
    she is so badass that she can perry being literally hit by a lightning from the sky…

    beidou just is not a complete character by herself, which is a shame
    but compared to other 4* characters she is just super weak… with the same setup xianling will do about the same amount of damage as beidou does to exactly 2, but xiangling will do it to everyone – it might not be fair to compar the strongest 4* to one of the weakest but whatever…

  13. Strangely, i don't see her elemental skill "inconsistent"
    Its not something you hold, waiting to be attacked if the enemy, you see the enemy attack and you Switch+elemental skill or just parry it.
    She can be a really strong physical dps too, having a parry (that defends from a variety of damage, deals a lot of damage and makes possible to solo boss) and is electro, making easier to reduce enemy physical defences if you have any Cryo in team.
    Its a good Burst dps, but she can be easly replaced IF you are not in need of DEFENCE over DPS. She is a character that can do a lot while being able to defend herself and allies.
    So, a perfect jack of all trades, master of none.
    But still, better of a master of one.

  14. Minor Spoilers for the video.
    I don't know if this is actually true, but her story about how she got the vision focused on the Haishan, a sea monster. In the story, she killed Haishan. shortly after, RedFlaim showed her character art. i looked at it a bit closer, and found bones that looked like those of a sea monster. maybe those are the remains of Haishan, the sea monster she killed?

  15. She's actually broken c2, no? One of the strongest ultis in the game, especially in the abyss. If you struggle with it, just build Beidou, it wouldn't be a mistake like for the next 5 years

  16. Beido mains be like, "beido burst strong!"

    Me who raises beido to lvl 70 cause I keep seeing "build beido! She OP!", gave her my ex-main razor's lvl 90 claymore and thundering fury;

    My beido: "2-3k per burst bounce"

    Me: "….."

    So yeah, my beido is now benched @_@);

  17. Beidou has been my main since day 1 of launch. Regardless of her unique gameplay, which I absolutely adore, she will always have a place in my party. I just really hope Mihoyo can find a way to buff electro and making it more relevant in the gameplay meta.
