as an older player who isn't planning on pulling on the Al-Haithim/Xiao banner Yao Yao is a no brainer.
Hi i'm a new f2p player that will be guaranteed haitam in the next 30 pull.. so base on this video the best one to pair with him is probably yaoyao / beidou / xinqiu?

A little bit torn. Beidou would slot well into teams I have or characters I built, but she is in the shop in like 2 weeks so I will probably wait on her. Xingqiu is one of my core members so I may pull a constellation on him but Yanfei has also been an on and off again team member whenever I need pyro.
Ngl I also kinda want Congyun because he needs to be with his bestest boy, but I probably won't pull him because I know I won't play him.

Yun Jin is speculated to be on Alhaitham's banner, so I'm gonna go with Xingqiu

I already have a few characters who are C6, so like YaoYao would really prevent me from pulling, I need to get me that second Xinqiu, Yelan

Yaoyao obviously. I already have all the other ones at c6. I'm not even a whale. I just have a job
Though I'm planning to get yaoyao on main, there's one thing that I'd specifically wanna share abt yanfei.
If there is something I have learnt from playing in a new alt account is that yanfei is a very solid dps for early game (and late game as well). She was the first character that i pulled on that acc and from that moment onward, she carried my team and never got off my main party even after I pulled scara on that account. With some investment, you've got a pretty fun to play with on-field dmg dealer imo.
As much as I need another Xingqiu con, having a dendro healer with good application would definitely be better since I need to expand my roster. It would also be good to pair with Kuki since both of their healing looks to be a little below average.
Honestly hoping to get a lot of copies of Yaoyao so that I could just get her C6 using the event.
I already have c6 beidou and xingqiu, don't use chongyun, ningguang, xiangling, xinyan, or yanfei, so It's either a yunjin constellation or yaoyao. I personally feel like my yunjin is good enough do yaoyao it is.

I already have C6 Beidou, Chongyun, Ningguang, Xinyan, Xingqiu, and Yanfei, and my Xiangling and Yun Jin are both C5. I am planning to get Alhaitham, and currently have saved up 50 wishes, so I'm almost certainly going to get Yaoyao from his banner, but I do want to see what her constellations are before I decide not to invite her. So for now I'm probably going to get C6 Yun Jin(I main Ayato), but I may end up getting Yaoyao if her constellations are really good or if I get unlucky with my wishes.
In short: get the one u either don’t have or have very little cons for.
Beidou, Xiangling and Xingqiu are no brainers. Their constellations are crazy

I'm gonna get Ningguang this year, went with Chongyun last year and the year before that I missed out on lantern rite cuz I was busy. I play most regularly on my "No Wishing" account so any free character is a big deal for me and my only geo option is geo traveler and unfortunately theres no 4 star Lihue Anemo character so geo is the next best bet for me because i need that element anyways.
My yun jin are at C4 i really want her at c6 but 1 are not enough so am choosing yao yao cuz of course i don't have her
Ive been hoarding wishes and only recently started wishing again, getting scara and raiden, so i dont even have xinyan nor yun jin, so naturally ill get another xingqiu con since im rolling for hu tao next
I'm considering picking beidou, cause she's one of my fave characters and by getting her Ill have her c6, but I also want xingqiu. Definetely not picking yao yao tho cause Ill pull for alhaitham
I do not have Yanfei so I think I'll go for C3 Xiangling.
I already got Xinqiu c6 since I got 2 copies of him … then 5 copies of him within a few days a long time ago lol
i'm gonna take YaoYao since i will be skipping Alhaitham and Xiao. i can always take a xingqiu con from the paimon shop when it rolls him out on March. i already have xiangling c6 so xingqiu is the next best liyue 4star but a brand new character like YaoYao may not come home in forever if i don't take her there.

Everyone loves xingqiu and xiangling but I would personally recommend Beidou. She's amazing
I'm playing for almost a year and don't get a single Chongyun,so i'll get him this time,i know he's not the best but i've always wanted him qwq° (already farmed for him soo i'm not sure if that sword we get from DragonSpine is good for him,'cause at least it looks cool )
I just started a catalyst only account just for fun when they announced a free 4-star and an early Yanfei is huge but I legit just pulled her so I'm torn between C1 Yanfei and C1 Ning!
What if i have all C6,
Neither Xiao or Alhaithams gameplay intrigue me enough to want to pull for either of them so in terms of the free 4 star im easily going for YaoYao just for the sake of having her without risking pity for a 5 star im not fond of.
