  1. The thing about the Chasm, if you were to start a new character today it would be in the proper order to do the Chasm after the Liyue story. The quests to go to the Chasm happen right after finishing Liyue's story. So, the Chasm being closed does not offer a barrier to the traveler from going to Sumeru (plus, there's a large open border with Sumeru that does not require going through there anyways.)

It's also assumed that when you get the quest in Inazuma to go to the Chasm below the nail, the you had completed the Chasm's main story.

  2. Inazuma doesn't offer much of a future character to work with, like ningguang and probably Kaeya's and diluc's fate or even with the grand master. Yae could finish the conflict in one confrontation and even dottore sweeping the gnosis off of yae if he is there. We already did have a future with no Scaramouche . And signora is dead regardless, The character doesn't need to enter Chasm. While as The only problem is The 2nd Gnosis. well if we go to sumeru then the story would be different from what we have. it just show how none of the Inazuma characters can be used for the later part of the lore. Other than Enkanomiya, oh and the double vision by kazuha. well more than anything getting to sumeru would give us a step ahead of the god creation plan, and by the time Yae and Ei could fix the conflict of Inazuma then the dendro archon is also saved.

  3. the 2nd act of the Sumeru archon quest wouldn't have happened if the traveler didn't went to inazuma. Without Scaramouche in Sumeru the Sabzeruz Festival would not be in a loop since it's purpose is to gather knowledge for the ascension of Scaramouche?

  4. I think sending traveler to the Inazuma was more like waiting for nahida to knows more about world. Which suite mu theory that zhongli, ei and Vento can't tell US anything, like some kind od rule. But nahida don't knows about it. So she told US.

  7. While I was playing the sumeru AQ I felt that if we learnt about the irminsul and its powers etc, the Inazuma story would have made more sense. Especially Ei's second story with the Sakura tree planting in the past stuff. Both the regions stories seem intertwined especially if we take the balladeer part into consideration.

  8. My idea is that after conquering inazuma, and defeated the resistance for me it would be cool in this what if, if scaramuche or some top fatui killed raiden and ei.
First we know that the top fatui have power on par with gods so I think with their combing effotrts they would have got rid of her sooner or later, I think scaramouche 100% would participate on this attempt he for the purpose has reason to do it, he was tossed aside by her and I think and harbor a deep resentment and hatred towards her also I think they would use inazuman people with delusion in this mission, many would still accept I mean the shogun was a terrible archon.

  9. The main reason Zhongli pointed us toward Inazuma next was because "Baal" is apparently the only other remaining original Archon besides himself and Venti, a point which seemed relevant to the Traveler. Nahida identity spoilers notwithstanding as Rukkhadevata was still known about and presumed dead. Zhongli also presumably didn't know about Ei and Makoto sharing the Archon seat (remember this was a big reveal and the Traveler thought Ei was just the Archon the whole time, as most of Inazuma still does), thus him referring to Ei as Baal rather than Beelzebul.

  10. Let's not forget about Tatarasuna, Enkanomiya and the purification ritual under the Narukami Shrine, the traveler greatly influenced those places and the result with his presence.

In tatarasuna it is possible that the fatui could steal the principles behind the forge and the metal that can only be made there, the contamination will likely leave a trail of death and missing persons being a mission to stabilize or shut down the forge but with little to no trace of fatui forces.

For enkanomiya with the resistance defeated, it is likely that the seal will be broken by accident or force, swallowing a large part of the island above and with the help of the dragon/lizard miko, the "original" inhabitants of the place will probably be in process to be released, not only that, but Kokomi will already be under arrest (if not executed, but most likely not) due to treason, this will trigger a kind of last stand in the people of enkanomiya with one of the missions being the recover of their leader, leading to a confrontation like the one on the beach but near the city dungeon.

On the purification aspect, this will likely be handled by Ei feeling that Inazuma's eternity is being threatened by the same malice from centuries before, but like almost everything she did up to that point, she'll resolve it through brute force without know at this time what exactly is the tree whose roots contain this malice, the tree will suffer great damage threatening the stability of the timeline itself, this will probably be the main point to travel from sumeru to inazuma, because the tree it is strongly connected to the ley lines and being somewhat similarly connected to the irminsul.

Of course, this is something I just thought of now and I probably forgot a lot of the details about the game's sub-stories, but I see possible that something like this could happen.
