  1. He's still the friendliest character for F2P newcomers.
    1. Claymore can break stone shields.
    2. He has a very suitable F2P weapon.
    3. He does not depend on the constellation.
    4. His elemental skill (hold) makes it easy to mine minerals.
    5. He can save stamina when dodging.
6.He can get upgrade materials(Electro Hypostasis ) on his own

(in contrast, many hydro characters have to rely on others).

  2. Sounds like the game should buff old unit's through the use of new personal weapons to buff the existing characters concept with artifact boosting of course or an FGO style animation update though I think latter would be more likely

  3. honestly, i find that even though he is one of the good elements for physical due to superconduct, he feels like he's on the wrong end of it… our choices for off-field electro appliers are MUCH better than our choices fro off-field cryo appliers

  4. Razor was the first 4 star I ever pulled when I first started playing and even now I still refuse to take razor out of my party, I often try to build teams around him, and I have plenty of 5 stars, I love razor so much, that I honestly don’t think I’ll ever take him out of my party, I think that he is very versatile, and is good early game and mid game. I guess I devoted so much time into razor that he’s still viable and I even compare him to some of my 5 stars builds, and even at AR 56 I refuse to take razor out of my party

  5. I feel like Razor is the only character who has genuinely been powercrept. Every other bad character was either awful out of the box or niche. Razor was always good, now there's just better options.

  6. i will forever be grateful for having him as my first main. (not only for the reason im emotionally attached to him even until today) his playstyle familirize me with claymore, hence why its my favorite type of weapon now! not many people like the slowness of it but heck it feels so strong and powerful with every slash. added with how unique every character within the claymore groups are like every playstyle is significantly different. he may be powercrept, and i mean by a lot. but being in the endgame now coming back to him always feel refreshing, no?? i dont particularly bench him either but with so many new characters incoming its just the nature of the game to play other characters and comps and him being a (selfish) main dps lowers his chances on being in a more flexible comps.

  7. Damn, your comment on Xiao hurt. I'm a F2P player and really don't plan to invest 1k in a single character. I only just got him from 3rd try with my hard earned primos, but the fact that C6 is 1k away only makes me think that I'm not the target player of this game.

  8. Why do I still play him

Because his VA was able to handle a harem
He desintegrates everything that he touches
And he can wield 2 keyblades, something that the main character on the game doesnt

  9. Razor is a four star character. He's there only to help in early game when players don't have enough leveled up 5-star characters and their supports yet. But he's not supposed to stay in focus.
He actually becomes solid utility character in mid game thanks to his mining abillities plus his passive that reduces running stamina consumption. All in all, Razor has his place in the game, it's just not in front. And sadly with ever increasing number of 4-star characters from all over the world in standard banner, he becomes gradually harder and harder to get in early game. He should be one of characters the player gets for free, e.g. at the end of his story quest.

  10. Razor being team unfriendly is beneficial for events like the recent chasm one where party members are blocked out until cooldown ends so missing key members dont affect him as much

  11. I want to create a Shatter EM build for Razor, but I would need cryo or anemo character that can inflict Cryo consistently and quickly, and long enough. The closest thing we have right now is Venti, but his burst duration is too short, and you'd have to avoid accidentally absorbing Hydro instead of Cryo. So for now we'll just have to wait

  12. as a razor main i find that he's in a very similar situation to yanfei where they do rlly good damage and still deserve a good tier list placement, it's just that others are better.
