  2. The tale of Yamato no orochi and the grass cutter sword of Susanoo… wasnt engulfing lightning original name grass cutter ?
Also I wanna talk about Ourobos, lore says that he was worshiped along side Orobashi right ?! So why is he like … inexistant… we need more of him

  3. I vaguely remember something about a Whale type entity that went too into Inazuma direction when Orobashi was Killed,
and I have the theory that Orobashi Knew that the people he protected would have been cursed too if Celestia Finds out that he Knows the truth,

Being killed by the Narukami was just a coincidence, he went out to die avoiding the possible fate for Watatsumi

  4. before sun and moon is likely written by ancient enkanomiya people, judging by the word choice and its content for specific history, for instance Abrax. So Orobaxi read the book after ascending to the ruling god of enkanomiya people who are hinted to be the exiles dating back to the days before celestia.

  5. One thing I wonder is that the Tataragami is purple, much like the dark mud of the Chasm. I wonder if when he was slain, it caused a small rupture between the human realm and abyss, which contaminated his remains into Tataragami…?

  6. Inazuma is still my favourite region in lore because I like Japanese history and mythology a lot which Inazuma draws a ton from. But because it is so poorly written there are so much misunderstanding of every single aspect of Inazuma by the general audience.
Watatsumi itself is actually the weakest link in Inazuma's story and they shouldn't have been set up as the "hero faction" to go against the Shogunate, because of the invasion of Yashiori they were literally the aggressors and the villains in this case. Regardless of the Celestia interference, Makoto already had a peaceful agreement with Watatsumi and they broke the agreement and invaded Inazuma. The current Watatsumi isn't "rebelling" against anything, they are literally continuing their invasion, instead of acknowledging their own fault as initial aggressors towards a friendly nation, they think of themselves as rebels, and then got themselves exploited by the Fatui.

This became such a poor setup which further adds to the actual most misunderstood character of Inazuma, Raiden Ei. Given no time to mourn at all, she was forced to take the place of Makoto while she was in deep depression, so much that she had to cast aside her emotions and become an actual emotionless robot so that she can continue to serve Inazuma and protect her people forever and never fail again. She then gave Inazuma 499 years of prosperity and peace until 1 year ago the Fatui corrupted members of the government to pass the laws of Vision Hunt and Sakoku and exploited the people of Watatsumi to go against Raiden Shogun.

Now most people don't even understand how much Raiden gave herself to protect Inazuma and instead see her as a villain when she was literally the one person who sacrificed everything down to her very soul, and think the actual antagonists, the rebels were the heroes. Raiden gave her all and protected Inazuma and in the end she was betrayed by her own corrupt government and invading Watatsumi who she gave mercy to.

  7. Enkanomiya is one of the lores that I hold dearest, because I initially wanted to speed-run it to get Yae Miku's ascension mats, and thought it was filler content… but boy was I wrong. Learning about Orobashi and Before Sun and Moon, this is when I finally convinced myself that Celestia had a lot to hide. The truth about Vishaps, Enkanomiya, and the Sunchildren, and definitely to note the music… Hoyo really knows how to create a beautiful convoluted mess of a story.

    Thanks for this vid Aster!

  8. I don't think the tatarigami are remnants of Orobashi's wrath, but rather of his sadness and resentment.

He always thought of himself as "not worthy of being a god", and was ultimately forced by his people (and Celestia) to sacrifice his life. His lingering feelings and remaining power would manifest the tatarigami.

  9. A thought crossed my mind. What if the Tataragami was Orabashi's way of trying to secure the land for their people? If we follow the idea that they was willing to do everything for their people, then it would make sense if Orabashi (knowing that his power would be a lot to control once he died) accepted their fate with the hopes that the people of Watatsumi would use the land he died upon.

This sounds a bit absurd but it is possible

  10. I can see a future storyline an interlude archon quest perhaps focused on Kokomo (She and Watatsumi really deserved that) focus on finding out that Kokomi or the bloodline of the divine priestess are actually divided spirits or Bunrei of Orobashi. Who over time the power within them feminism but the ideals and belief of Orobashi remain as strong as ever. Similar to how in Fate Shutten douji is a divided spirit of Yamato no Orochi and a stronger form of her can manifest that can dominate the Oni of Mount Oe

  11. Orobashi's tale in game, in addition to being vague- may also be intertwined with the rest of the Archon War events, which would twist/hide the truth to one degree or another even more. Just considering what we know (even second hand) Orobashi's tale is surrounded by the unknown as Enkanomiya even with its fake sun at brightest is amid darkness at the moment (only wheh they reveal more will we really get Orobashi's true story..) it seems to intertwine with both the Abyss and the Calamity surrounding Khaenriah perhaps from the "forbidden knowlegde" or some other (Like King Deshret in Sumeru and his story is intertwined with the 'calamity' seeming to include contact with Kheanriah and forbidden knowledge [it is only "comfirmed" in Sumeru, all other places it is suggested at best]).

  12. The immortal snake or the snake that chases life is a fairly common concept in mythology, not as common as the malicious snake but still quite common. This is rooted from the way snakes shed skin and seemingly deaging as well as the way snake venom was sometimes used as medicine. The immortal snake is depicted in honkai through mobius and in genshin through both orobashi and baizhu, but ironically, orobashi is the one who chases life while baizhu is the one who seeks immortality.

  13. A very interesting thing about Genshin is how a subject can change depending on how you look at it, Orobashi is just one example, but there are many others that are more hidden. Example of what I said would be like: Why does the Yashiro Commission, an institution responsible for Ceremonies and Event cultures, have an Assassin group? that group that Sayu is part of. It's kind of out of place if you think about it, it would make sense that the Tenryou Commission would have such a group (They probably have one of these) but it's not said in the story if they do or not, which makes the situation that much weirder, ( without mentioning the fact that the Kamisatos brothers pulled you into a problem that wasn't yours and then used you as a scapegoat to save Thoma) There are more examples of this, such as: Are the Tianquans of Liyue the new Lawrences? Etc.

  14. I feel like Ei's story quest should have explored Orobashi's lore, similar to how Zhongli revealed the truth of Havria. But in general Ei's quests should've centered around her youkai friends and gods not a tea npc (as you can see, I'm still so salty on the wasted potential tbh).

  15. This makes me believe that either raiden ei or raiden shogun will be killed at some point of the story. Finally the karma for killing so many gods will catch up to her. Makes sense

  16. Why i feel like
Celestia is just some insane institution that supported the archon war to enjoy suffering and orobaxi was forced to participate in the war cuz either he didn't agreed with the them or pheraps elimination of competition

  17. What confuses me is Celestia said no to Orobaxi's pacifism, but yes to Deshret's sharing of the title with Nabu Malikata and Rukkhadevata. While yes, Deshret and Nabu Malikata eventually both died, there was still a point in time where all 3 ruled Sumeru together. Maybe one of the Orobaxi's profanities is not having human followers
