It's very noticeable how bad his E can feel, if he had Hu Taos E or even Yoimiya's E he would probably just be better, his E multipliers are almost the same as his normal multipliers….
he is the most fun character for me that more than enough

Honestly Diluc is in my main team, as F2P I cannot replace him with something “better” and that the new meta is how much DPS you can get is really boring, and really unnecessary to play Genshin in general. Sure it makes the game easier but not necessarily funnier.
I built Diluc over two years ago with the bare minimum gladiator set and he still hits over 10k on his burst, he’s the best
My brother became a diluc main, he was a supreme kaeya fan but now he has them both in the same team, it only took him two years to successfully fail his 50/50 with diluc.

You SERIOUSLY need to consider retitling your series especially when they contain a ton of nuance like this one. I understand the need for clicks but you gotta keep your integrity as a content creator and not just lure people with a strong statement.
Your last statement, while well though off, comes off as a flip-flop (much like with a lot of your other WNOP videos) to the premise you already established. Genshin's no Souls or Rouge-like game; where gear builds matter if you want more casual people to clear it (not even efficiently; just actually clear it). You operate too much on the principle that people go for quickswap teams as default while not targeting the actual issue which is him being powercrept and the meta-slaves perpetuating the narrative that it's either broken or D-tier dogshit.
Also if I'm gonna be honest, allowing him to have a movement speed buff/jumping buff in lieu of his A1 passive will likely bump him up enough. His plunge multipliers are the highest in the game (only beaten by burst-enhanced Xiao) and having access to that will likely give him a new playstyle/buff in one go without bumping his numbers (if Hoyo is that adamant on not changing him despite being the only real powercrept unit).

It's worth noting claymore DPS characters have the most limited weapon options at the moment. There's no general 5* crit claymores, and the best 4*, serpent spine, is a battlepass weapon a good portion of the playerbase isn't willing or able to pay for. My understanding of redhorn (currently the only 5* crit claymore) on Diluc, is that it can be his BiS if paired with Bennett to compensate for the low base atk, but it's still competitive with WGS (which allows him to run EM sands in vape/melt teams) and R5 serpent spine.
The other 5* pyro DPS- Hu Tao and Yoimiya have also been indirectly buffed with new units like Yelan and Yun Jin. Diluc's strongest team is still a Bennett Xingqiu core.
I'm hoping something released with Dehya will indirectly buff Diluc too

Why noone Plays Diluc anymore?
1. Pyro has many valuable options. Xianling is stronger and given for free. Hu Tao is even stronger. Yoimiya is cute and brain dead to play. Even C6 Benny is arguably stronger/easier pyro carry than Diluc . Sexy Dehya is coming soon…
2. Any decent F2P dendro team powercrept Diluc
3. Diluc requires to master dragonstrike to remain somewhat relevant.
All though yes Pyro is not as good anymore mainly Pyro damage dealers as a whole.
Due to the increase of reactions overall, 'Burgeon' is basically an indirect buff to Pyro as only a Pyro character can activate Burgeon. Meaning it's damage is based off the pyro characters EM, While burning is based off the Dendro character's EM. So Burgeon spam is so strong that it even rivals every other Pyro dps aside from Hu tao BUT it does come close to that of Hu tao.
I use a standard Diluc vape team with Diluc, Xingqiu, Benny and Kazuha/Zhongli and I still hit nice numbers regularly. He is so easy to use and his kit is really straightforward

I remember wanting Diluc so badly when I started playing…now I have a C3 Diluc that's still lvl 1, and is simply a reminder of my failed 50/50 pulls.
Diluc just feels nice using with his NA,E combos. At best, he offers comfort by having no CD problems and being able to full star the abyss with the right teams and investment.

As someone who Mains Diluc I play him as a one man army usually. I have reaction based teams that aren’t as good as my Diluc team. My Diluc team is Diluc, Zhongli, Kazuha, and Barbara. I almost never react barbara with Diluc because I always forget. I have only been playing for a little over 2 hundred days

I feel like the main fall-off of Diluc and Pyro in general is Hoyoverse having no f*cking clue how to balance anything, and making dendro really powerful just to hype it up more. That and the other pyro DPS's being either fan faves (Yoimiya) or way to OP (Hu Tao). Hoyo just doesn't really know how to balance things, and won't nerf characters or change skills/abilities to balance them more.
Ok so Diluc for you seems to be similar to what Yanfei is to me. He's your first main and even though theres other units that overtake him in power you keep a team slot open for him. Forgive me if I'm presuming too much but you seem fonder of him then you do with the other "why no one plays".
Anyway you've convinced me to give him another shot, I've put him on my xingqiu/yelan team and I'll be strongboxing for crimson witch while farming for emblem and pale flame pieces.
