  1. This is the most accurate theme about a certain someone's personality and actions. It's perfect, in my own opinion, it's has both sides which are very important aspects, the House of the Hearth singing in the background is obviously giving the cordial front and is the most organized theme of announcing their "Father". Its the Facade that we all know, but then The transition begins to give the switch between the themes, and now it's become more diverse in music it's no longer organized and it announces the final act and Father's arrival(Phase II) After the transition it announces Arlecchino's arrival, and as the voice of her begins to unite with the House, it starts the final act but as it's developing and as its lead by The House of the Hearth, it gets completely casted out by Arlecchino, then she takes charge announcing her own act, she then snaps her fingers to quiet everything, thus showing her in control of the music itself, she then take matters in her own hands and does the final act, in her true unknown self, now its no longer an act nor a facade.

    This is my own interpretation.

  2. 4:35 Not to bring hate to the new composers but the catchy sound effects and some vocals seems rather redundant and messy. The new boss themes just feels like something is missing while something is unnecessary compared to previous ones

  3. They really goes hard with the dubstep, but for me is big MEH
Harbinger should stay in clasical modern, but not with dubstep, if this not related the lore as outsider like narwhal this easily become the least favorite boss theme. Tho part 1 is cool

  4. Not a fan of the first phase it feels too repetitive but gyattt the second phase is soo good especially when she sings and then the male singer too which are like showing possibly her two sides and also maybe her title as father but being female and also could be referecing original arlecchino from the comedia being male. Its so dangerous and the little kids singing in the background rahhhh

  5. Wow, as an avid music enjoyer, the overall composition quality for boss themes has definitely dropped since Yu Peng Chen left.

Not trying to shame current composers, Im sure they are doing their best, but its one of those situations in which "good stuff" gets compared with excellence and so it unevitably looks pale.

  6. For me first phase is hella better than second one. I mean it’s not thats bad they cooked but i dunno WHY DUBSTEPS SO MUCH for example? Opera parts, children parts are really good melody is good somewhere too but its sounds like unfinished or combine. Again it’s not bad but i think even Childe’s second phase feels more epic unless it’s not have so much things in it to me{this is a opinion not statement}. I think they could do more simplier and make it epic but they were like; random bullshit go. Pffff i liked first phase really much tho

  7. The music feels very fragmented. It keeps going from section to section without much of a unifying thread. To me, it reads as a composer who doesn't really know how to develop his ideas, and therefore has to go from idea to idea in quick succession, which makes the overall result feel less unified/homogeneous. I know that because I tend to have the same issue with my own work. It's especially apparent for the dubstep part. Did the composer just say "I feel like doing dubstep, fuck it, we ball" without taking into consideration what it would mean in-game? Because if that drop doesn't sync with some kind of big attack from Arle, then it's completely out of place. Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of good ideas here, and it's very well produced. But there's just **too** many ideas. Not enough coherence. I really didn't want to have to say this, but we're starting to feel yu-peng chen's departure, and it hurts. It's still very good music, genshin still has one of the best OSTs out there, but it's not quite the same.

  8. I really liked these themes. The only part I am not wild about is the dubsteppy/EDM part past the halfway point of phase 2. It becomes a little too discordant for me there. Not that it is necessarily bad, but I just think a different sound than the exact choices they made may have been better. Besides that, no complaints from me. The tension in phase 1 is so high and phase 2 is so energetic. Both phases sound so powerful, a good thing for boss themes to be sure. The child choir(?) parts just brings me to think of the HotH which I think is a nice touch.

  9. I'll say this definitely has one of the best first phase boss theme. It's already so powerful in first phase, perfect for presenting someone powerful and menacing like her.
Second phase's best thing is the harmony between the main singer and the back chorus. It's beautiful and feels lore accurate while the dubstep part is a nice little surprise, and showing a glimpse of her true terror.
