short answer: yes
long answer: ayaka is one of the best dps units in the entire game you'd be a fool not to grab her. she's currently the best cryo dps unit we have (ganyu isn't good, stop coping, and even then, she's only good at c6) and she's very ftp friendly because the inazuma craftable sword is good on her. also, if you don't have shenhe but do rosaria, use rosaria, very good support and can sometimes be better than shenhe. one last thing, melt exists, so ayaka is still useful there
FRIDGE IS NOT GOOD for the soul reason that you do NOT get a dual element bonus. you would rather have two dendro, two electro/pyro, or two hydro instead of four different elements. the single element resonance is NOT GOOD (also, cores are only good on bosses cause they have big hit boxes. they suck every where else though)
one last thing of note, we don't really have a good 4 star cryo dps unit (chongyun is fine but is heavily reliant on being in the aoe sadly)

Like someone said, if freeze works, at C0 she is an absolute beast, especially her burst. Without it, you can still get by, but not as successfully as other units.
It will always be funny to see Hu Tao and Ayaka pop up in the "Is this character still worth?" vids when they're still the easiest to use/ highest damage units for their respective elements. Like she's absolutely broken with freeze of course, but even without it she has an absurd burst, full uptime on her element that practically makes her a cryo catalyst, a perfect f2p option that nearly keeps up with her main weapon, and doesn't rely on a single non-4star unit aside from Shenhe (and as one of the rare owners of her, can say an invested Yunjin can keep up/surpass the buffed damage output from a invested Shenhe due to her downtime/buff limit)

Little help folks. So im gonna run a mona, ayaka, Sucrose and rosaria team. When I get kazuha replace sucrose. But what artifact should I run on Rosaria? Blizzard or Noblesse?
Help me decide if I should pull for Ayaka: I’m F2P thinking of saving for Nahida (currently have 67 wishes) but I only have one carry and that’s Hu Tao. I am struggling in the Abyss with mostly support characters in my roster, I don’t have a good second team. Should I continue saving for Nahida, or pull for Ayaka? I don’t have Shenhe, but I have Chongyun and I’ve seen him in some Ayaka teams. I also have Venti in place of Kazuha. As another note I am on 50/50.
Or in my case: any other anemo character like MC or sayu (didnt see sucrose on any banner so far and didnt get her on standard either, same goes for kazuha, shenh and alot of other must haves)
My only freeze unit so far i actually use if chichi (replaced barbara cos i was allways getting frozen, despite her running r5 tales) in diluc team
I guess if i ever get ayaka she will get into wierd team (ayaka, yaoyao, kaching and water boy) wich is variation of team i built since getting kaching (her, lisa, yaoyao, dendro mc, performed surprisingly well on lvl 90 enemies despite kaching being lvl 50 lvl 1 talents at that time, not to mention on dendro bosses while farming character mats cos diluc is just bad there…)
Love her. Got her to 110%cr and 310cd (with food) hits like a truck, but yeah dendro had really hampered my use of her.
So you're not even gonna mention how she has the mona type dash and can infinitely travel through water? One of the reasons I pulled for her

You get 2 powerful combination that can enable you competitive clear at ever cycle level of investment.
This is much better than waiting and hoping for C6 Faru with Xiao.
As far as meta strength goes, she's still op if you bother with it. She has pretty good clear this abyss.
Casual tho would rather play as brainless as possible so Nilou it is which will be replaced in fontaine again just like Ganyu and Ayaka vefore.

As someone who lost 50/50 in Ayaka's banners, now that I am guaranteed, I am definitely going for her. I do have Ganyu but I want a range and melee dsp/sub dps for each elements like what I have with HuTao and Yoimiya. Can't wait to pull for her 😁
i run ayaka with xiao, support pyro application xiangling, and childe. Childe and ayaka work together really well for freeze/melt/vaproize whenever xiao is recharging and give him a lot of energy. ppl told me not to put them together but it works super well
