I pulled him today, and i must say he is very fun to play and i dont think he is clunky at all, nor do i feel like a shield is 100% necessary, most enemies are melee and cant hit him anyways, his passive free dodge procs often enough and is fun to use and deals damage, i have xingqiu, faruzan and fischl on my team who all work with normal attacks. his damage feels good, his movement feels good, alot of enemies get staggered from his charge attacks or my tazer comp. I feel like people are just over reacting because hes not the electro dps they wanted but to be honest, if he was electro would we even notice much of a difference?

  2. If the ability to fly up wouldnt drain his anemo juice so fast i might have considered pulling for him just for exploration. As it stands I feel like he is fun to play but there are other characters I want to save my primos more.

  3. Icl rn, the NA and CA part is kinda wrong, his skill works like yoimiya’s instead of ayato’s in the sense that it buffs your normals and charged atks by a certain percentage, if you’re in a wanderer rotation you’re actually wanna use normal AND charged attacks

  4. I don't care what people have to say. I've waited two years and he's a lot of fun. I have a two piece VV and Gladiator on him with Talents at 6//6/6. Big deal you need a shield on him, a bunch of characters need one. I pulled him for him and he just so happens to be a blast to play. I love my bratty man.

  5. The fact that I pulled for wanderer and will be pulling for Ayato says a lot. I just enjoy simple fighting styles, I mean my team is double anemo double geo, literally no reactions but the occasional swirl. So they both work fine for me

  6. Initially, I wasn't planning on pulling for Wanderer. But after finishing Act V of the Sumeru archon quest and then seeing him being able to literally fly sealed the deal for me. Got super lucky and pulled him early! He's been super fun to play for me so far, even if his flight mode stamina drains a bit quick it's still fun. I'm actually quite surprised people are calling him bad. He's fun to play and hits hard imo (though I've yet to fully invest in him yet, got too many characters to build plus I'm F2P so the struggle is real lol xD). But that's just what I think. In any case I don't regret pulling for him at all and I'm very happy I got him 🙂

  7. If it was any other character, anyone else with this kit… I would have been pulling for him. But because it's 'him' with what he did and his attitude mixed with the fact that Mihoyo literally ruined the end of the archon quest by spoiling the reveal of this character… I just can't. I hate that his E is so much fun and looks awesome, but it's not enough for me to pull. I just can't and will never like him.

  8. Of course he sucks. He's a male dps and mihoyo hates them. Did anyone actually expect him to be good? We will never get a male character with damage as good as raiden's or ayaka's.

  9. You can spam charged attacks then run out of stamina then go fly and since ur flying you can spam more charged attacks and meanwhile ur in the air your normal stamina recharges back so you can spam charged attacks over and over which is pretty satisfying

  10. He has a lot of problems:
    1. Being mid-air means he gets knockbacked easily when hit.
    2. Despite being mid-air most attacks still hit him.
    3. Auto-targetting sucks when you want to hit someone but he choose to attack someone else.
    4. Auto-targetting does not work when you fly too high.
    5. Faruzan sucks.
    Despite this I don't think he's lacking as a unit but all of these small details makes him unplayable. He's not Yae level of clunkiness but he's also not better than Yae's clunkiness. You can get used to his clunkiness but honestly it's such a hard punish when he's supposed to be a braindead unit like Itto, Xiao, Yoimiya, Ayato, etc. He's frustrating to play with and that's a huge problem for a CASUAL GAME like this. Faruzan is also really bad; Kujo Sara works because Raiden produces energy on her E but Scaramouche can't produce energy by spamming Normal Attacks. If you do decide, "Hey what about discarding Faruzan altogether," Yes you can have fun with Taser or National or bringing Zhongli, Layla, Diano – but that's not how he was made to be; what's the point of making a designated support for him if that support is a detriment to his fun factor. I didn't expect him to be great or meta breaking but I also expected that he "felt good to play" but nah HYV can't really bother to fix the kinks of their characters before release.

  11. "Wanderer isn't bad. Who cares he is weak – you don't need dps anyway, you don't need abyss anyway, you don't need meta anyway, inhale copium and have fun." – literally whole comment section right now. Damn it's so fun to spend 70 fates and your guaranteed just for the ability to fly.
    It's alright if you like the character and you find this fun, but don't try to pretend like he is actually a good value for primos bruh.
