  1. I've legit been saying the same thing ever since ToF came out. Both games are complementing each other in a way that encourages you to play both, not just one.

While it is true that Genshin is superb graphically and its animations and combat are silky smooth, it is sorely lacking in term of Instanced, Endgame and grinding content in general.

While ToF is filled to the brim with instanced, endgame and grinding content but remains somewhat lacking in the story, polish and graphical beauty department.

  2. I don't want Genshin to change to a forced coop. World level 10 yes. But nothing like tof please. Genshin is my chill game. I could not find a reason to log into tof yesterday as it's pretty cookie cutter to me. I enjoy it but not everyday.

  3. I haven't played ToF yet (waiting for steam) but I totally believe what you're saying and I'm excited to try.
It's mind boggling how some people can sit here and have strictly negative things to say about ToF when it's clearly filling gaps for some people.

  4. I finished Many weapons Just with The monthly pass and Battle pass. I spent 30 dollars and i have 4 SSR weapons 5 SRs and 2 of them are maxed and 1 4 stars. The thing with it is The amount of Currency and what i can roll Is small, Character and weapon Come at the same time. Farmable too without even rolling. I dont feel forced to have to roll when i can actually game open boxes and They give you even more Nucleus Black and Gold with the Dream sequences that seem to Be unlimited. Its Way more gamer f4riendly and Honestly although im not A gatcha guy, This is atleast in terms of Game it is, what i wanted Genshin to be. Its not a job at least for now.

  5. Sadly I can't play the game, yesterday I try it out because of a friend of mine and everything was going fine, until the gacha was introduce, the moment I try tu pull the game crash, my pc shutdown for a second and had to start again, I try this two more times with the same results, after that my friend help check my laptop to see if it can actual run the game with a big NO as an answer.

  6. ToF is just OK, if I wanted difficult content I'd play pgr and I do. Much better and smother combat and if I wanted an actual mmorpg I'd play FF14….which I do. ToF offers nothing for me. Since I get what I want but better in other games…amazing playing other games makes you happier…

  7. I've long accepted the fact that Genshin won't get an endgame. Kinda sad sure, but at the same time I wouldn't want to spend hours and hours on Genshin daily. I'm actually fine with just playing it for an hour a day then move on to other games that I play like Monster Hunter etc.

I'm actually glad that people are now finding other ways to entertain themselves through other games, rather than squeezing Genshin to the point that it's not fun anymore.

  8. I played EverQuest way back in the day and then World of Warcraft came out which fixed so many issues. That's why I quit EverQuest after many years of extensive play. Genshin has become bland because new characters are not needed as the content is too easy. I like the story, but I like the grind. Beating abyss the first time was amazing, and it was fun for a couple months after, but it's been 1.5 years since then.

  9. ToF fixes a lot of things that I wanted from genshin but also introduces things that I'm not fond of like more MMO aspects πŸ˜…. But beggars can't be choosers. The single player waifu game I'm wanting simply hasn't come yet.

  10. For me personally I play a different game like overwatch (even tho the game has been total shit nowadays) it does keeps me satisfied. However now I am starting to see an interest with zenless zone zero, hope we get more information about it.

  11. I agree this is what genshin refuses to be an mmo which is great they work well alongside each other. But in terms of hurting or being competition for genshin, I'm not sure it'll ever be that it was extremely underwhelming in cn which is both genshins and ToFs primary market and I have my doubts that it's global success will truly make up for that since at the moment ToF is maybe a fly or gnat buzzing around.

  12. I’m having a blast with TOF so far, being f2p I think I got my entertainment amount out of it just after this first week I wouldn’t mind dropping a few bucks for some extra rewards. However, I want to see the longevity of the game after the honeymoon period ends before I spend. There’s some things I would like to see like being able to switch servers with the same account, improved controller support, improved controls/control customization on the phone, and I wish you could trial runs of training areas for zero rewards instead of only giving you 1 attempt a day. I’m afraid that with 3.0 coming out I’ll be juggling TOF and genshin, but I’ll most likely treat TOF like a side game when that happens.

  13. I totally agree. I think I'm spending more time with ToF now than in Genshin. I just do my dailies and burn my resin and move on to ToF to farm and explore the world. I feel like ToF is like Honkai and Genshin have a baby 😁

  16. I think Genshin's story needs work, personally. Especially in the character writing, because our playable cast is really lacking in character flaws. They all feel like the same person at the end of the day (a good person that the Traveler approves of) and I'm tired of it. We'll see if it changes in the future, because I keep having hopes.

  17. the thing with genshin is, because its a single player game, you can play 10 years later and finish the story. it would've been better if genshin was just a $60 game. play for the story then move on… they're just stretching the story too long for $$$, but theres not much purpose for grinding in the game coz its too easy. tof is the opposite, so i'm staying in tof..

  18. Good news the game finally works for I don't know if it was because of the updates but I actually got to play yesterday and today for about 2 hours before I had to go to work wasn't getting server errors and getting kicked anymore, I play on server Sol-lll.

  19. Oh that period after the honeymoon phase is gonna hit hard. It will take longer to get there, because of time gating, and there will be more to do than Genshin on a daily basis but it will come. I've seen no news about the limited SSRs being farmable through world bosses so that activity could run dry eventually. Energy is still a thing and min maxing will be a long process as usual. Finally, the reality that getting limited wishes is not only going to be harder but the system will also drain you more than Genshin's. It's 120 for a guarantee still and it's just gonna be SSR after SSR. There also looks like there won't be any new SRs.
It's gonna be a while but I wouldn't give this game a full rating until people have gotten to the true endgame. We also have to wonder if the devs are truly going to fix the issues in this game or just drop it. The first ban wave only got 1,700. I highly doubt that's anywhere close to how many hackers there are.

  20. Basically you mix the 4/5 experience from genshin with the 3/5 from ToF and you get the perfect game.

Hope someone is taking notes πŸ“ lol. So they actually make such a game.

Initially I was Lukewarm about it cause I felt the combat was floaty , the animations and traversal were undercooked.

But after I unlocked 3-4 SSR AND got a feel for the synergies it became an instant hit. Also , love the community aspect of it. Hitting world bosses with the lads and open world shenanigans. Met a bunch of helpful people who guided me.

The gacha is also incredibly rewarding and wishes are easy to get. I haven’t even explored fully lol.

    Quality wise – 3/4
Feels and excitement wise – 5

Yes it’s unpolished. But it’s been a long time since BOTW and Morrowind I have had this much fun exploring and going random shit. Genshin sometimes gets boring cause how easy the combat is and the inconsequential nature of its progression loop. ToF addresses a lotta that with its structure for me. I hope they polish it out and keep the game sustainable long term. But as a free game , I have had boatloads of fun.

  21. To put it short you realize you can play other games while waiting for genshin to refresh content, a mean, that's what everyone should do, I don't understand why content creators or streamers complain so much about genshin not having content, when they can literally just play anything else while they wait, I do that win genshin, with megaman x dive, if people don't stay for the person and only care about the game content, then better up that charisma.

Also good for you for finding the balance you wanted on gameplay, enjoy it.

  22. ToF made me realise that I really wish movement was better in genshin. Oh also that genshin is kind of stingy. So many SSRs so far. The free SSR within 30 wishes is a lot better than the guaranteed Noelle at 20…

  23. I'll just stick to genshin, i have no more time to spare for another game. I know genshin will always be a casual game and not all players can set 5 hours a day. Most people in working class will be able to only play 1 hour max.

  24. Same here, ToF gives me what I wanted and if I could, I would prob spent same amount of time playing this game. I got King from a box, wanted Samir but since I already have crow, decided to go for fire, guess what, next 10 pull with purple wishes (not gold and red) I got Samir. I love this game. I wish only for genshin to work better on a story, in my opinion, the idea is great but delivery sucks (Diluc's char got completely wiped out with Hidden Strife event and I cannot forgive mihoyo) so till mihoyo starts working on a story and it will get deep maybe I will come back. Now only log in for dailies to be on with primos just in case.

  25. I do love the tower of fantasy story, but it's not the quality of genshin 's. Though if you asked me if I know a game with story on the same level as genshin I wouldn't know what to say.

  26. ToF was really smart with its launch. People criticized them for launch right before Sumeru but it was the perfect time. I have been really enjoying ToF. Genshin was never designed to be a game to be too invested in. This is the realization I reached. It was meant for 15 min gameplay and that's it. I feel bad for whales but this is just the truth.

  27. Glad you got the BP & Monthly for TOF cause it just doesn't make any sense NOT to when we have for Genshin for all these months. I love Genshin but TOF makes it hard when it has so many elements that should've been in Genshin from day one and even after close to 2 years still dont have those features. <3

  28. Isn't IP theft like a big deal? Especially taking the designs from a property one-for-one? I guess the reception for ToF now is like how people complain about EA having unreasonable microtransactions on all their already pay to play games but they still play them nevertheless. It feels like they slapped on the most crowd pleasing and appealing features and suddenly they get a pass for stealing… Like if you're gonna make a full blown game at least make your own assets… I would definitely play the game if the developers had actual standards and morals but it seems like that'll have to wait for Wuthering Waves or something.
