I think a new male model that is taller and buffer could be viable, since there are characters that fit such model, like Varka, Capitano, Pierro. I would be soooo disappointed if Capitano turns out to be the usual tall male model like Childe. I mean, Childe is my daddy, but Capitano is d.a.d.d.y., you know…
Something tells me Barbeloth is going to look similar to Xianyun – taller and with glasses but not actually elderly. However, I am certain Varka, Il Capitano and Pierro are going to get a special buff, tall, older male model. Pulcinella is a mystery still. Loved the video.

For Mona's master Barbeloth…i just hope she doesn't get the Skirk treatment. Even as someone who barely knows anything about HI3, I could recognize that her design, although "cute", did not fit Genshin's aesthetic. Then again, maybe I had too many expectations of a lady character actually being jacked to hell and back with scars all over her body.
Same hopes for Varka, as well. The kinds of dudes we have now are cute and fun and all, but someone with a beard is actually necessary atp…and someone who isn't below 30, seriously. In terms of humans or human adjacent species.
I too wish for new character models….. but your list is weak without Jeht….. at least an honorable mention…..

Looking forward Varka to be the first tallest among anemo! Since you've mentioned he is like a father figure, its about time those anemo kids to have father figure. In addition, we dont have a 5 star claymore anemo yet

honestly for Varka they don't even need to make a new model. They already HAVE it. They can either use the male Blacksmith model (Wagner in Mondstadt), or the Fatui Boxer or one of the Inazuma Samurai classes as base models.
For Ping/Streetward Rambler she can also be a damage dealer, since Xiangling and Yanfei are her pupils, as well as Yaoyao who is learning Ping's spear techniques. So I think that has potential too.
Sadly Hoyo won't make Theresa Gunnhildr (Jean and Barbara's mother) as playable character because… she's a mom. although canonically she's MUCH rather a warrior than a leader so instead of a healer like her daughters she could be a DPS. I REALLY hope Hoyo has some balls and makes both Seamus and Theresa playable but I'm not banking on it 🙁

I have a feeling (and hope) that we will go 500 years back in time, and many of the cool "old" characters that we saw will become playable: the yakshas, Ei's friends, Madame Ping in her prime, and even Signora.
The character im waiting for the most is someone we all have but never got to use them at their prime is Full Powered Traveler. But I guess Paimon too because I thought about her possibly being playable before but not really but Id love for her to be tho

Unfortunately Seamus Pegg can't be a playable character because Hoyoverse wouldn't allow a canonically non-virgin character to be playable. Unless Jean and Barbara were alchemic creations, he's out of the game.

1- Hoyo will NEVER release a tall, muscular man with a full beard as playable, and Varka will 100% be yet another tall male TWINK. Why? Because its a chinese game, and chinese beauty standards for men are different than ours. For them, a "beautiful man" is tall and slender, but not muscular, and beards are considered signs of "poor hygiene", so having no beard is considered "clean". So yeah, you better give up on your Daddy Varka dreams.
2- There will ALSO never have an ugly female character. They will all look like Victoria Secret models in their early 20s, now and forever. Why? Well, just LOOK AROUND YOU, dont you see the absolute shitstorm ppl throw on game developers that DARE make their female characters be anything other than solid 10s? And believe me when I tell you: whatever shitstorm western gamers might throw at game devs for ugly women is NOTHING compared to what the chinese fandom would throw at Hoyo if they tried the same.
TLDR: TWINK Impact and WAIFU Impact will never die, abandon all hope.

Also, you're wrong about Capitano being the one who invalidates every other character in the game. That's such low-IQ thinking lmao. If strength alone was the determining factor, Crucabena would've wiped the floor with Arlecchino.
But it's not. DOTTORE IS the one Fatui Harbinger who invalidates every other one. This is not opinion, but fact — the two Fatui agents in Mond say that he is so powerful and smart that every other seat could remain empty and they'd feel no loss for it whatsoever. Whereas, if the people of Teyvat found someone stronger from beyond, Capitano is cooked. Think also about how strong DOTTORE has to be to compete with Capitano, who clearly isn't a human being. Dottore IS a human being who was born an ordinary human, yet through his intelligence and strength he is able to beat the other Harbingers as well. THAT is impressive.

Meanwhile, I'm going to keep hopium alive that Dottore, Moon Carver, and Mountain Shaper become playable. Especially Dottore. Just give us one morally gray playable character Hoyo, Traveler is already sympathetic to their twin and Caribert when they're doing fucked up shit.

If Paimon comes out, as you mentioned she's probably gonna be Omni, but also Omni might be like Prismatic in Destiny 2. So perhaps her kit is gonna be a bit of mix and match with some other characters…
