ToF is not on console, I would try the game if I had a 2k€ pc, which is not the case and on phone … these type of game are garbage on console, they are 15Go games and always laggy
ToF doesn't give a shot about players as well. It gives away free ssr just for your attention and then wallets. If you know the mistakes they made when the game was first released in China, you would understand. The company is the one that bought Riot years ago and developed all kind of ways to gacha in LoL. It is even more greedy than Genshin.
I feel like Hoyoverse is paying people to create Genshin fan accounts and support the game

In my honest opinion. ToF feels more like a mix between BotW, Crash of the Titans, and inspired by genshin but sci-fi instead of mythical magical stuff. It is also an MMO which is refreshing seeing other players just doing their thing like you and with you, the character customization is good, and the weapon switching instead of character switching is very, very refreshing, especially since that's what I thought genshin would be 2years ago before it released. It's a very enjoyable game.
However it doesn't feel like strong enough competition to me. For one the animations doesn't feel polished. Giggs, Black Dog, the entire friendly and enemy npc animations and designs feels like a game made for a PS2, in that era, just upscaled to 1080p. Two, the voice acting. I've tried both, and of course, the Japanese is decent. But the English is very bad. Genshin has a solid en cast and quality of their dubs. Talking to the Archon of Hykros about how the calamity started felt like he was going to sell me something. His delivery felt more like an ad than add impact to the story. I could list more but I don't wanna make this any longer than I have to.
ToF feels unpolished. Of course it has potential, but with the quality that we were introduced by Honkai and Genshin, it's hard to make comparisons without our standards on how a game feels, look, and plays. After this honeymoon phase, we'll see how it holds up. Cause I think ToF did better than Ni No Kuni, especially the Legend of Neverland. Neverland was a disappointment, ni no Kuni was just ok. Only thing it had was the graphics and art style are from a studio we are very familiar with

The popularity of ZZZ in the future imo will kill both games as in its gameplay is far superior and more satisfying than those games. ZZZ is my most favourite anime game ATM,. watch OkCode on twitch play the beta he's the best ZZZ player there is.
honestly I agree because genshin is the same as always just adding more lore,maps,limited event and exploration which is still good but we want the real endgame not a permanent event that pops up every 2 weeks that can be finished with mediocre artifacts and good dodging

If genshin brought mounts, a multiplayer area with pvp or something and gadgets that actually do shit like a grappling hook or something i think the table would turn faster again… oh MC should also customizable, at least the clothes
Tof is an amazing game but it's sad how many ppl compare it too much but I cant blame them coz of how "similar" it Is, it's not new experience for me but a fresh restart but ain't surprised. I just love the exploring and rides/gadgets/vehicles, it's making exploring easier except the glide, it's just the same. The customization is very nice but I dont customize too much. Story is meh and music is… idk. A big plus point with their new and improved paimon, just didn't like how they copied the paimon concept, they could've made her smaller like a fairy or smthn extremely digital like a robot. Combat, its ofc better than genshin coz of air borne atks but it's better to compare it with honkai coz of how similar it is aesthetic wise and style. But I still prefer genshin even with all the no endgame drama and burnout, it made me realize how well made genshin is and all the effort it used. Genshin was a really amazing game if we removed or ignore every bullshit it has like meta shit, endgame, burnout and gacha.

I'm pretty sure all Hoyo needs to do if they're feeling intimidated by another game is by making another game and try making it better than the last. I'm really hoping Zenless Zone Zero is one they put a lot of effort into.

tbf the only thing i disagree with is that they are gonna stop caring about genshin and hop on star rail and zenless. i doubt those games will have as high of a player base because open world itself brings a huge player base and i think hoyo knows that. obv they will care a lot when they are both released but i highly doubt genshin will get much less attention. especially with the competitors that are coming like wuthering waves

ToF has some great potential. They can utilize it and get ahead of Genshin on many aspects.
Tower of flop will never beat Genshin because the western community is the only ones that like it which means nothing there profits is low in order for tof to beat Genshin they have to be popular in CN which they aren't not even close its actually most hated in CN and japan lol
When it comes to ToF imo, I can say like any other game, it has both pros and cons. I have been entirely f2p and in only three days I already had managed to gain 6 ssrs without spending a single cent. The voice acting seems a bit off at times with missing lines or being out of sync at times, but the gameplay has been very fun and quite smooth. Overall, I enjoy both GI and ToF because it does a good job in being something one can play and have fun with.
Genshin isn’t afraid, they released the program on time.
