Timeline of Remuria – Remus' Fallen Dream (Genshin Impact Lore)

Remuria was a civilization that existed in Fontaine before the Hydro Archon Egeria came into power. Currently, the remains of this ancient kingdom rest beneath the waves of Fontaine, hiding its true history. In this video, I go over the timeline of Remuria and how events truly unfolded.

  2. Hmm so that's why Scylla looks like the Narwhal due to him staying in the Primordial Sea guarding Egeria for who knows how long, he probably drink the Primordial Sea and with how Vishaps are all about evolutions he turned like that.

  3. Fontaine seems to have no nail. At first i thought maybe the tower with the fog, then later Remuria, but now i dont know, maybe what made the unnatural ground raise, i doubt its natural formation, it looks anything but natural.

  4. Hello, in you video about Natlan: It was interesting but your pronunciation leaves a lot to be desired my dear friend, I say this without offending. In case you didn't know, Natlan will also be inspired by the history of the Tawantinsuyu (Tahuantinsuyo) Empire or the Incas, in Peru, Huáscar and Atahualpa were the last Incas to reign over the empire, they did not get along well and that is why the Spanish took advantage of that instability and conquered Peru. It is not called Yupanchi, it is Yupanqui or Túpac Yupanqui. You have a new subscriber here.

  5. I mostly understood this lore about Remuria but some things I still dont understand.

So, what's is the actual connection between Egeria and Remuria? I knew her original sin is about turning oceanids into the current Fontaine humans, but those people not including Remurians? Remurians are stone, no? or basically Egeria and Remus have different timeline? Egeria with Fontaine and Remus had his own kingdom? in different sea or same sea? the primodial sea prison where Egeria jailed is below Remuria's sea, right? So, Egeria did her sin, oceanids of primodial water became Fontaine humans, then there was Remus, came into ancient Fontaine, built his own kingdom alongside the real Fontaine?

    Shit kinda fucked my brain

  6. Remus is sort of an amalgamation of mythical Remus (brother of Romulus) and their ancestor Aneas. Aneas was a Trojan who survived the trojan war and moved his remaining people to Italy.

Since Sumeru is a huge melting pot inspired by Egypt, the middle east, and further east into southern asia, it also makes sense to include Turkey in there.

So Genshin Remus basically did what both Aneas and Romulus did in our real world myths about them. Left Troy and founded Rome.

  7. Both Remus and Deshret attempted to create collective consciousnesses. Deshret through the golden slumber, and Remus through Phobos and the Grand Sympthony. And both of them were likely trying to become Descenders. Narzissenkreuz says in his questline that by dissolving all Fontainians with primordial seawater, he could absorb them all and become a transcendant super-being whose will rivals a world. A descender. It’s very likely Remus and Deshret were trying to do the same thing, as both of them wanted to rebel against Celestia and against “fate”.

It seems like Descenders are the only ones who can actually change “fate.” So the traveler is gonna end up being the one to reweave Teyvat’s fate. And the abyss order’s plan with the loom of fate is to have the abyss twin and/or Caribert become that for them. Only their plan is flawed because the abyss sibling isn’t a descender. Unless the Sinner is a descender, their plan will fail at a fundamental level.

  8. Time to listen to my nightly podcast! I treat these videos like episodes, it's so much fun since even though I read all the text in every quest, I don't catch everything, so I really respect YouTubers like you for breaking down everything :))
