Genshin Impact has most of its characters and enemies voiced in different languages. However, I would sometimes hear a very unique voice that I could never find the source of.
Recently on a live stream, we narrowed down where this voice came from, and it turns out, this ONLY happens in the Japanese dub, and I’m not sure why…

If I remember right, in earlier versions of the game all of his voice lines were that low. For some reason I think they changed his voice, maybe they missed one of the lines. I remember having a double take at some point running into a group that included that guy and wondering who the higher voice belonged to. Geo Skirmishers were the safest ones to take on early in the game when trying to get those badges so i remember seeking them specifically. Then again, I have a memory like a goldfish so I might just be misremembering.

I actually thought that was a corrupted audio file on my end, as I've had that happen before and wasn't bothered by it. But now knowing it's just there for everyone it is very strange to see and maybe it just slipped past mihoyo that this file was distributed while being somewhat corrupted
