  1. I almost cried when there's one time we go outside of Sumeru and Paimon is waiting there for hours and we didn't comeback. Even that white floaty is annoying most of the time leaving or not having Paimon on our adventure is heartbreaking.

  2. I think the idea of dumbing down the story by explaining things so players can follow is amazing. Inazuma has a great story but sadly players need to piece the puzzle together. Some information is hidden behind the scene, like Ayato character demo, conversation with Yae, Gorou and Kokomi, Kokomi's character story and chat with NPC.
The idea of Nahida giving us options to connect things together by ourself so we can come to the conclusion and understand the whole story is a great move by Mihoyo

  3. No joke, I was doing the quest in one go and when Paimon started crying just for seeing me again I was so imerse that I shouted an "Im so sorry Paimon" then I came back to reality and stopped to think what I just said to computer haha

As a honkai lore enjoyer I was already accepting that Dunyarzad died but even tho I didnt like that much the "but Im alive tho" I felt a relief while watching the dance cutscene and well, maybe they will explain that Nahida did a "izanagi" on her and changed reality to a dream idk

  4. Apologies for asking it here but I just wonder how many players actually chose a box number other than four??
Like, I chose 4 cos I like the number. There's no replaying it so no other number choice once I realized it was replaying.
Did the creepy four-four-four-four-four happen always or did it happen to other numbers chosen, too?

  5. I have to confess… i feel actually let down by the archon quest Aster, not by the story itself, but because of the way it was implemented.
Not sure if you ever played Majora's Mask, but this, was a such perfect opportunity to apply the same unique open questing style that made that game so great and immersive in the first place.
Genshin even posesses a clock able to advance in time just like Majora's had with the ocarina of time 🙁
It would be a bit long to explain it in detail, you should look it up sometime if you want.

  6. Two parts I really liked was when Dunyarzad retelling her encounter with Kusanali. I play a lot of visual novel games and that flashback of her as a kid really felt like a visual novel game. The second is when Paimon was crying. I genuinely felt bad for Paimon.

  7. People remember Teppei simply because he died, not because he was a great character. People will remember Dunyarzahd for how great of a character she was, showing that Mihoyo can write a great side character if they tried.

  8. They really improve this Archon quest with unique story telling and giving us care about the side characters to flesh out. Even though it doesnt have much combat, it is very lore heavy and the pacing is just right. It is sad that some people are annoyed because it doesnt have much to do like combat and felt like they are playing a visual novel

  9. I found it rather good as well. I have mixed feelings about it being a, minor spoilers, at it being a happy ending. I thought for the story it might had been better to be bitter sweet, and we carry that anger at them sacrificing her for their experiments into the future quests.

Paimon is starting to really shine as a character. Early game she was just Traveler's side kick. They teased each other from time to time. Now we really see that they have gotten rather close, to the point that either one would be devastated at losing the other. Also the voice actress seems to have gotten better at portraying the character as well. Her little sarcastic remarks are getting rather cute. For the smile of the children…and also our reward, haha. I had to stop a moment to laugh at that delivery.

  10. I liked it a lot! I also liked the aranara quests haha it was all so interesting!
The friends I’ve seen complaining about these two quests are because they are lazy and don’t like reading lmao and they’ve told me so. They told me they skipped all the dialogue,, cringe but I guess I understand, reading is not their thing 🤷‍♀️
I took quite a few days to finish the aranara and archon quests cuz they were indeed very long and as much as I love reading, I had to take a break from the lore dumps, so I could pay as much attention as I could to the dialogue fhdhjd I even started a lore convo with a friend!
Regardless of the length ,,, I still wished to see more of the little cabbages hehe and I can’t wait for 3.1, hoping for another archon quest. Alhaitham do be looking sussy 🤨

  11. The only part i didn't like was the thought bubbles they felt more clunky and annoying more than anything but i am the kind of person that kind of likes to skip dialog and than watch some on stream do the quest for the dialog although there are moments where i get really invested and have alot of fun listening like when the traveler started talking alot more was fun besides the thought bubbles lol

  12. I disagree heavily but I liked hearing your take on it. For me, it was extremely boring, predictable, and some things didn't quite make sense. But I can say it has a massive amount of potential for the rest of the quest. I'm mainly talking about the 2nd part, but I did enjoy the ending cutscene

  13. I love it when Genshin implements Tears of Themis features…Like Heizou's hangout where we need to choose an evidence to present to Heizou to solve the mystery then we have the brainstorming in this archon quest and connecting the ideas we have found out

  14. I think before the Subzeruz festival was great too. Tighnari/Collei, Dunyarzad/Dehya and Going to Port Ormos was all really fun IMO. It was an awesome adventure and I loved every minute!

  15. the sumeru 3.0 archon quest is great. but i liked the aranaka side quests even more, those are truly great, it gets you to explore the entire zone and introduces you to lots of core themes and concepts of the area. if only it was voice acted.

  16. I'm curious on what Nahida meant as being the "first akasha terminal"

If I remember correctly, the Akasha is some sort of power that only Rukkhadevata (I'm gonna call her Rukka for short). can use.
When Rukka died and Kusanali was born and found by the sages, said sages found a way to make the Akasha terminal in which it was made available for all Sumeru people to use.

It was implied that the Akasha terminal is powered by dreams. And Nahida is the god of dreams (before inherting the title of god of wisdom).
Paimon also comments that Nahida knows the Akasha like the back of her hand.
And Paimon mentioned the Akasha terminal looks like a leaf and Nahida has a leaf unaturally protruding from the side of her head.

So with all that. This makes me think that Nahida's powers was the basis for the sages to modify the Akasha and make the Akasha Terminal. That or she could literally be an Akasha terminal. And the sages made her the model for those dendeo pods.
But if this is true then I can't understand why the sages would hate her and lock her up?

Her whole existence made it possible for all of sumeru people to use the Akasha? Shouldn't they be grateful to her?

  17. I see Genshin as degrading in story, not improving. To this day, my favorite archon quest still is Liyue act III, which was released all the way back in 1.1. They haven't made anything better since then. What a shame. And people will hate me just for having a different opinion, i know how it always is… They just like what they give to us, and never want things to change.
So to at least give it some more reasoning.
I didn't like this quest, specifically act II. It also seems very similar to the Yaksha archon quest in my opinion which i also didn't like, from the way how they present a story here. It's absolutely conceptual, almost as if you're creating most of the story just with your imagination, instead of an actual real things happening. So, imagine if you didn't know what they were talking about, and this quest would look like there is absolutely nothing in it, just some dialogues with npcs. And this wouldn't even be like the Liyue Archon quest act I and II, since there were also only dialogues, but everything here was very connected to what we see on the screen. In Sumeru Archon quest it's just like: You must keep in mind that you're supposedly in a dream from where you can't leave and you repeating the same day, while in reality, you know it because it was all just told to you, but you're actually in the same town with nothing different going on at all. The whole story is imagination based. I'm afraid they will keep making more quest like that, because people are asking for it… And such procces is just much easier for them.

  18. Spoilers for the Sumeru Archon quest Act 1 and 2 ahead!

Indeed after the disappointment that was act 3 of the Inazuma Archon quest and the way whatsitsface resistance guy's death was handled I was worried the writers lost their touch, but having played through act 1 and act 2 of the Sumeru chapter, my worries are dispelled. The groundhog day scenario in chapter 2 in particular was an absolutely fantastic piece of immersive narrative content! The way how when you first loop back around to the day of the festival isn't even initially addressed by the game made me question my sanity and the integrity of my game files!

  19. Loved how the traveler and especially Paimon got their personality highlighted as well as their relationship as a duo and not a killing uber machine and its noisy gps, unlike some other quests. They were really cool to watch, especially how much they care for each other.

  20. the minute i realized dunyarzard’s voice was getting weaker, i knew this was a different type of archon quest. haven’t had this much fun doing one since liyue
