  1. Kazari is still a separate tune from hana, in the teapot. MHY's clean up is still incomplete. Need to get permission from the music director lol?

  2. As for why paimon jp pronounced it that way, it could be a genuine misunderstanding as the exact pronunciation may not be stated in the script (and mhy staff did not correct it) as genshin was loaded with a lot of kanji names that ranged from having ambiguous to totally dunno-what pronunciations without being specified.

Kazari (pronunciation, the written form can have many variants) is rather common (? at least I've heard of it before) as a name, while hanachi-whatever? personally never heard of anybody called that. imo totally awkward as an inazuma (japan-inspired) name. But I guess it's just another localization thing (pick the version that requires least correction over existing writing and prev voice recordings?) Probably won't bother people that much unless you speak japanese.

  3. kanji (chinese characters in japanese) can be pronounced in 2 ways (音読and訓読), so Kazari and Hanachirusato both are correct for 花散里. 2.7 just changed from one way to the other. it can hardly be called as a mistake

she will always be Kazuri to me
changes like that should happen closer to the patch they released in
this late and we all have been calling her Kazuri for almost a year
    not gonna change now

  5. It wasn't "corrected" it was just "confirmed". A lot of these names in JP have debates over how to pronounce them because they are all kanji characters, and there's multiple ways to pronounce them.

Since the world quest involving her didn't have any voice-overs, no one knew what the "canon" reading was, until Paimon's voice-line in the new quest forced the Japanese localisation team to settle on one.

Yes, JP has to localise the names too because the original CN version refuses to pronounce any Japanese names the Japanese way lmao

From there, the English team just went with whatever the JP team chose.

  6. That’s great…but I’m still upset that none of the music albums included the end cut scene song (vocals version) – we got Ruu’s Lullaby why not her Sakura Cleansing Chant?!

  7. I literally don't get it if her name on all servers was always Hanachirusato then why on earth did they changed her name to Kazari on EN only to change it to Hanachirusato in the following update like what was even the point
