i am an old school player as you say so the question here is, is it too late to start building a bloom team or can i start, i mean if i start farming deepwood and gilded now will i find myself after a patch or 2 with a new meta that i need to stop building the bloom and start building the new meta (building here isn't just artifacts i have the characters but at level 40 and 1 talent level so it will take so long)
I guess this is genshin after all and I can live a year late of everyone else I mean from 3.0 till 3.8 farm emblem and blizzard from 4.0 till 4.6 farm deepwood and gilded and when natlan drops with a new meta I start to farm for the meta that was in fontaine
Am I the only person who doesn't farm artifacts for every single character because it's impossible to build them all and i almost never use more than 8 characters at the same time (abyss)?? Same goes for weapons -_- I just farm 2 or 3 good sets of every artifact and build the characters I'm using in my current teams. That's a lot smarter for me. I prefer to use my resin building characters. Right now I have almost every character at level 90 with 9 9 9 talents (except those that are not worth leveling up) So I can play every single character and have a lot of fun.

I know my account is cursed cause I always like some pretty.. unique! characters like heizou xiao lyney so I’ll have to go to niche domains good for me my dendro teams are mostly built nicely
My situation of account is really different from a common one but still it’s really important to highlight farming is really better with newer regions while older sets should better be obtained in strongbox if it’s not a hurry. This box.. is also not very perfect in giving nice pieces 😅
Gambling the strongbox isn't as fun as cooping new domains. I don't care how optimal is it
The problem is, that when using the unused artifacts for the strongbox, you have no material left for leveling the "good" artifacts …..

I have been ignoring deepwood domain when i got Dehya and c1 Eula, now I can do it again and strongbox the trash
you missed c6 lynette, since she would proc easy the new set as dps, it's 36% free crit, that's huge adding 15% normal and charged attack bonus, if you add something like black sword, you have 55% normal and charged attack bonus and 60% crit rate just with set bonus and weapon, that's crazy
Am I the only one who doesn't understand why some characters need boss parts that have nothing to do with them? Like Lynette needs a part from the Sumeru dragon thats a pain in the ass to get, just like….why?

My takeaway…. farm any domain you want and use Strongbox on any set you want.. lmao. Will do sir

Just wanna point out that if you're farming for a specific set (VV, Emblem, Noblesse, Tenacity), and you have at least 8-10 characters decently built already, you can hyperfocus the domains with the specific sets and increase your artifact drops for that domain through the Strongbox by about nearly 50%. Say you want to get Lynette onto a new VV set, you can farm Valley of Remembrance, and any off-pieces you get you can fodder for more VV pieces, turning 8.44 artifacts on average into 12 VV artifact drops per day. It might not seem like much, but this massively improves farming rates if you want to speed up your farming for Sucrose, Bennett, Raiden, Xiangling, Yaoyao, Fischl, Layla, Zhongli, Kazuha, etc.
I never do strongbox since release..i dont do resin primo refresh..i rather use those shitty artifact as fodder..most of the time im not farming to get perfect substat but instead to level up artifact..if its 1 to 1 exchange its fine..but its 3 to 1..waste resources

New characters will be based in health manipulation, so maresassy set is superior when it comes to best value.

I have a feeling (it appeared to me in a dream) that the next big trend with Fontaine characters is hp fluctuating mechanics so I'll def be spending all my resin in new Mashasasusets set no matter what anyone says
I also hate emblem users and why would I strongbox it when I can get 10x more value with vermillion (xiao main 🤡🤡)

personally Im farming the new domain and exchanging vermillion for my Xiao, whichever domain give me an upgrade I will use as long as I can move from 2 piece+2piece set

Feeding trash artifacts to ESoF boxes is obviously good, but i don't agree with skipping Fontaine domain.
We've only seen only 3 Fontaine characters and all of them have self-HP consume mechanics. So others are very likely to be similar. Hydro is the element of Healing and HP after all. There even might be supports that enable these set bonuses to other characters by consuming their hp and/or healing them back.
So i'd say farm this domain for future characters. Just lock in whatever seems useful, particularly be on the watch for artifacts with HP / Healing main stats (of course anything with good substats for other stats/artifact sets too, you never know if they will release a good character that scales on DEF)
I feel as though the 'farm for artifact sets that benefit the most amount characters' thought process is a bit flawed. Sure, if you have all 74 characters then yes, maximizing your resin consumption should theoretically allow you to build several characters at once, but the majority of the player base doesn't have that kind of time or money to pull for every character. Just spend your resin on the domains for the characters you're building, and here is your friendly reminder that most the time, leveling up character talents will boost your dps faster than that 0.001% damage increase from a slightly better artifact you got.
Also, if you're planning to pull for ANY fontaine character, their most likely best-in-slot right now is going to be the new 4.0 artifacts.
Genshin Need Added More Resin Increased from 160 to 240 and added Reserved Resin System, but unfortunately Genshin would Never do that.🤦♂
