  1. nah, all I see is someone using the word genshin impact to click bait and get more views.

coz at the very least if you pay for welkins in addition to event reward and daily commision in genshin impact you will always get enough rolls to get to the pity.
this comes from someone who did that, yeah I'm a low spender.

I only have 3 out of al 5 star that I failed to get. coz I lose to the 50/50. most of the 5 star releases I already have them.

it is not like diablo immortal where every single fucking upgrades are in paywall. genshin on the other hand you roll for a new 5 star character/new weapon not for the weapon upgrades, everything else there are attainable.
if this law pass, either genshin will update to separate the EU server with different mechanics or wait anyone to sue them and win in court.

coz their mechanics are totally an "OK" not deliberately abusive.

the only reason it become like this is because of youtube who whales and making so much attention to kids and childrens making it looks cool to Spend for rolls.
they are not called "influencers for nothing after all".

  2. In my opinion: it’s for the betterment of the gaming industry, gatcha is as cancerous as EA’s loot boxes.

Edit: I genuinely hope LB and Gatcha mechanics will eventually be made illegal, otherwise we will be always be stuck in this environment where all games care about is to suck your money away and nothing else.

I bet Mihoyo would probably put out real content if it didn’t care about stealing as much money as it can from you.

  3. I'm very disappointed with the business practices live-services have been using… It's genuinely hard to balance freedom (Mostly for adults) with regulations, and lines blur a lot between clever and malicious business, but the balance is way off with these dishonest, manipulative and exploitative methods in this market.
It's INSANE how vile the psychology gets, and the quality of games and their pacing also suffers for it. Even if you do control yourself well, they'll literally just inflate it, they'd even lie about it if they could. (Ohh hi there Destiny) To quote Wilson or whatever the fuck his name was, ''is this good for the player?''

  4. This should have been regulated a long time ago. We don’t let people under 18 in casinos in Canadian and I believe it’s 21 in the US. A first step would be an automotive M rating (Mature) on the game if it has loot boxes or gotcha systems. I’m sure they can think of more in-depth regulations from there. Even casinos have regulations they have to oblige by. I work as a casino dealer for 12 years so I know that for a fact at least in Canada

  5. I think you are right about the gambling, I also think Hoyo is aware that this business model is "underfire" and could soon be regulated out of existence. This is why we have been hearing about them making a new type of banner for older characters that do not include the gacha. They are testing the viability of it as a replacement business model in my opinion. If it works well and people can just buy copies of the older characters that they want and it creates an acceptable revenue stream then when gacha gambling gets hit, Hoyo will just switch all banners to that model.

    Anyway, good video!

  6. My country (Italy) always has been against lootboxes, and the only consequence we got is that we have no italian language on games. But they don't even bother region locking them.
So that's probably what is going to happen.

  7. i agree till u said it was the same as tcg card given back then yea u got a point but now it kinda doesnt make sense to buy packs when u can just buy singles

that aside i see if they force genshin to do this then all genshin would do is give more stuff (like most gachas tend to do) but time will tell i guess

  8. First time on your face reveal. Really channeling that viking energy. Diablo's story makes me sad. It doesn't cost much to spread happiness. But business don't care

  9. Dude.. stop.. Genshin is nothing compared to other games like codm and pubg.. so if you talk factuals and numbers Genshin isn't nowhere near being in danger or getting there in the near future.. Chill dudes:))

  10. If there is a rule it's still dangerous for people who are trying from being a kid to adult age

On the other hand, I don't think adults should live with loot boxes being a normal thing, especially with these prices

I believe gambling, in general, shouldn't be a normal thing or even a legal for people to commit

  11. No unfortunately , they won't change. The amount of money they could pull from Asia alone is enough to cover the cost of missing out EU's or maybe even NA's profit. If they change it to "non" Gacha they would literally lose MORE money than just missing out EUNA profit. Companies aren't that dumb , there is a reason why a whole biodiversity of Gacha games and MMORPGs were extremely popular in the East but is literally unheard of in the West. Gaming companies are making too much money in the East to give a flinging F about the western countries opinion and their regulations.

Think about it , why blizzard favors their Chinese overlords over NA? This is not a win win , its a lose lose for people living in EU. As we all know by now thanks to the recent issue popping up left and right in the gaming world. Company aren't getting enough budget to properly polish their game before release. Funds were constantly being misused left right and center which causes budget cuts here and there and ultimately ended up with a shitty release like Cyberjunk. Not only that , companies have been reusing titles again and again and introducing next to nothing other than refurbishing its IP names and changing how some things looked. How many COD games are there? I stopped following after IW. How many AC games are there? These things happened because companies were too scared to take risk and try to make a new IP and when they do try to make a new IP they run the risk of failing hard like Cyberpunk 2077. And also overpromising is becoming more and more of a problem. Take Warcraft 3 Reforged for example , promising a bunch of stuff , but got eventually cut out due to low budget allocated to the classic team + lack of time for developments. These are all the fundamental issue we need to look into before we start blaming companies that wants to make use of the Gacha system. The Gacha system is the easiest way to make money with the least amount of effort , just like Capitalism. You see how much Mihoyo re-invested the money they made with Gacha into stuff that isn't just Genshin.

Let me remind you all , Genshin is a result of Mihoyo's fund reinvestments from Honkai impact 3rd. They took a huge risk with the money they made with the Gacha monetization system. And its from this system that you get to enjoy the game for technically no price tag. What other Company would be willing to take this huge risk to fund a project that might or might not see success? Its a huge risk for their investor. If we allow Company to run Gacha , with a slight bit of regulation of them making money from children , adults are free game , they might be able to make games that will be truly enjoyable and not just your usual "Call of dooty : End game" or "Assassin creed : Electric boogalo" sort of bull shyt.

Also , it will make games free for people who can't spend but wants to play and allow the players to enjoy games without the "Purchase this DLC to unlock this map" sort of deal which most of the time turns me off so goddamn hard. How many times have i played Monster hunter World with my friend but my friend couldn't enjoy the stuff in Iceborne with me because he didn't buy the DLC that cost as much as the base game and have to watch me play it instead?

Just let those willing to pay into the Gacha monetization pay for the stuff they want. And if you hate the Gacha monetization then don't participate in it , don't ruin the fun for others.

  12. Could end it in europe and eventually america will do something right after. It needs to be done even though we don't want it to be. When blizzard released their 100k crap that put a target on all gacha game companies more than it already had.
