I find it hilarious that a Chinese company is throwing such a fit about IP when they are literally the biggest IP thieves on the planet. Also if your stuff is getting leaked, you need to lock that down internally. Its not everyone elses fault who gets the information, attacking them is ridiculous. It wont stop the leaks. it just divides your community and exposes your trash tactics and makes you look bad. I for one, dont feel like Mihoyo deserves my money from now on.
I find no problem with Leaking characters just not story or the character abilities
I wanna see Mihoyo's reaction to the phrase, "leakers hunt decree".

day 41 of commenting because i love your content. it’s kinda scary thinking about story leaks, i really understand miHoYo and their actions because just imagine you know what happens in the next patch or two or maybe at the end of the story, for me atleast, it would ruin the experience of the product that miHoYo provides and it make sense for them to take actions against that so that would not happen because at the end of the day, they are a business and they can’t risk ruining their product.
When I look at leaks, I’m only interested on the character’s skill kit, multipliers and attack animations.
the only nation we don't know the inspiration 4 is the fire nation unless that was hinted at in text only lore i ignored at some point. ya Mihoyo, u r making so much dam money u can afford 2 pay the VAs more and give them more work or hell have a few people 2 look through quest text on the text only quests and go "we sure people r going 2 care enough 2 read ALL of this this? i mean it's like 12 full text boxes talking 2 this 1 guy and it happens like 6 times. do they have 2 beat around the bush so dam much?"
yes the writers 4 main story stuff and world bullding r the MVPs most of the time, some fun characters, writing/gameplay, and the story r the main reasons i stay on personally.
yes yes yes yes the banners is free advertising 4 hype leek or not, character gmaeplay info could also b more specific so people aren't so skeptical of their value without leaks even if it's a double edged sword like last minute nerfs after the leek hype has done its job, but yes story leeks r not cool so Mihoyo should give us more info being more transparent so leaks won't matter as much and won't b as sought after. once people start thinking "Mihoyo gives us enough info already" leak click bait won't get nearly as many views and will die down.
yep that's where i am, game is fun but they haven't given me a reason not 2 hate their guts so no cash 4 them from me, if u disagree that's your call
yeah i was both grateful and annoyed by leaks am grateful because i can pre farm some new characters and detailed info of what they can do and annoyed for story leak like when they posted the raw music of signora with ui thats where i knew shes gonna die so the wow factor is gone…
I don't really watch your videos, but I have to say kudos for putting video out there and sharing your perspective and actual experience on what it means to a creator for a leak to preempt the release of their content. It is a sad fact that many in the Genshin community do not realize this and are taken for a ride by the leakers, especially those who have built up their reputation somewhat but have now been struck with a DMCA takedown. Even their negative response and subsequent actions have started dividing the community because some only consume the secondary content from these leakers and facilitators who only did it for the clout and ad revenue. So sad and so shameless.
Anyway, kudos for sharing your perspective.
I guess I’ve never seen a leak, so I’ve never had an issue. I’m so confused on how people are finding leaks. Do people just have too much time on their hand?
This all goes back to the 1.3 patch where that 1 russian just leaked everything. He ruined the standard for leaking. I remember back then all the other official or well known leakers had a big war with him. Ever since then it been greed, leakers looking to profit and doing everything possible to profit. Well, put in this video if the community destroys the motivation of the developers the game is going to suck. If they stop caring about their work the game will go under and by then leaks are worthless cuz you will not want to play anymore.
Who the f look out for story leaks? No one. People only look for character leaks.
I remember the first time we got leak of zhongli and childe in 1.1, with very low quality of 360p, very vague. some even think its fake. For me, that the best leaks ever, cause no story spoiler, no spoiler content whatsoever, just a very glimpse of character with bad quality that left people to wonder whether its fake or not.
We wouldn't care about the leaks if they posted the upcoming banners 3 months in advance including the 4*s and all the character's talents, stats, etc.
We also wouldn't care if each patch gave enough primogems to get every character in it.
As is we need information to make decisions on wishing.
We also wouldn't care if the game had enough content and we wouldn't be in a constant struggle to keep enough interest to not stop playing permanently.
Well this stupids give the leaks to the leakers! Like tf you are literally the leaker not the people who just share them
come on man I won't defend all types of leaks and so on but some their lore is same or close honkai impact and I can tell some stuff happening comes from old movies and stuff , they have not created so much things you think ………

The only leaks I care about is Character's. I want to know what talent materials are needed, what the potential of the character is, what artifact kit will work well with it, ect.
MiHoYo doesn't truly care about any player (Pay or F2P) if they withhold information until you get the character.
I want % multipliers and ascension up stats.
Not, "Oh look at how they attack, here is a description of how many hits they do, and the skill and burst info"
I don't care if they summon a freaking dragon if the damn dragon only can do 10k damage at level 90.
I won't know until I level them up and find out the hard way…
Hence why I love a particular website that has all this info, and MiHoYo goes after them because, "WE DON'T LIKE LEAKS"
Fine, if you don't like leaks, then GIVE US MORE INFO!
Even if they hold off until the day the character drops, fine. But give us the numbers and stats, and info many of us need, or continue to get mocked for "hunting" leakers.
As to the part at like 10 min, yeah ofc theres only the social media managers and stuff sitting there, but what are we supposed to do? just go to MHY headquarters like that one crazy dude? No, if we have things that are bothering us we need to point them out somewhere, its not like we can directly reach the people that are screwing some things up and thats on purpose so we need to have someone else relay the things were upset about
The content of a beta is usually very close to the final product (especially if it comes to characters), so if players complain about a yet to be released but already leaked character, I think that they, as creatives, should just admit that there might be something wrong with the beta-version and consider reworking it: sure, that should be the job of beta-testers, but if the general public ends up to share the same concerns, it should just be one more reason to do so; with this, I don't mean they should feel forced to change it, be it clear, as they must be free to develop their creative ideas, but a thing is to go for a certain plot twist, another is to release flawed content.
You kinda forgot something. The way how the character works according to the beta and if it doesn't work how the players want then they get furriest about it and also the lek of information they've giving us
silhouette of the character, element, and weapon is actually enough this time since many players have enough weapon now, so players can choose what type of character they always use

i thought my spoilers problems was those persons who post it on open facebook groups, yt titles and video Thumbnail and discord non spoiler section Fault, not mine, it was so simple, its just not looking at leaks
I agree that mihoyo has the right to hunt leakers
But as a company that most of the time treat the players like they have i clearly don't see them doing a road map because they want people to know almost nothing about the characters so the players have fear of missing out and sell their kidneys for a character
Just think with me. What if we never had Raiden leaks around ayaka's banner? A f2p would spend their 50/50 even their guaranteed Pitty on ayaka or yoimia thinking that Raiden's banner would be only 3 or 4 months after it
So when Raiden banner comes the f2p would have no choice other than Skip Raiden or spend money
Everyone says they can avoid leaks until they get spoiled about a certain character's death on f*cking RULE 34. ON THE 1ST DAY OF 2.1!!! The fight was also spoiled for me in advance, the boss fight, purely because I listen to Genshin OST-s. The sole reason I rushed through the story was that I have accepted that as long as I consume Genshin content, I will not be able to avoid leaks or spoilers…
People just got spoiled by leakers and created this "Fear of Missing Out" thing.
Do you really need to be Level 90 on Day1? People just want to brag about things. If they are that hardcore they can level 90 in one week.
People are just impatient. Instead of exploring things by themselves they rely on content creators and leaks.
I like seeing all leaks, idc about spoilers, and they do not ruin the story for me
