I would like to argue that after Xilonen's release,furina should be better than kazuha.Cuz now xilo can enable furina in many more teams cuz they synergise so well together.
I Will argue against Neuvilette. I believe Arlecchino Is Simply a Better fit as the must have DPS.
Here my reasonings.
1: higher ceiling. Arlecchino does more damage than Neuvilette. And she also don't need 5* for many of her best team. Neuvilette can work with any 3 random unit, but he lose a lot of damage. You can play Arlecchino with sucrose Candace and Bennet and extreme damage. Neuvilette need furina, his C1, probably xilonen and kazuha to get too result.
2- off field DPS. As of now, we only have 1 pyro off field DPS, and for her to do damage she require both Bennet and hydro aura on the enemy. She is good, but her CD are annoying. But we have 3 top tier off field hydro dps. Yelan furina and xq have be at the top of the meta since their release, and are still strong unit. If I needed to start a new account, i rather get my hand on furina than Neuvilette, and this leave me without a pyro DPS.
At the end of the day, Neuvilette is more of a confort pick, but you can surpass him with other unit. If you are. A new player you need to squeeze out as much damage as possible, i rather get an unit that does more damage but is harder to play, so I can use my personal skill to clear the content, than an unit with an easier gameplay but that can't do as much damage, making my skill useless, and forcing me to farm for better stats.
Don't get me wrong, he is good, but he is not that good to be a must pick. As a metter of fact, because I have a pretty good account with most of the 5* unit and their top team, I would rather give back my c0r1 Neuvilette, because I have no reason to ever use him
Playing the game since launch (welkin+BP) and there's only 2 characters I felt were good enough to bring to C6 and permanently use both in the abyss and overworld :
1-Yae Miko (Very underrated) Her turrets hit every enemy in the game (except electro immune ones ) including the ones that fly or disappear (Fatui Gunners,Specters, etc…) or bosses that fly,run away or teleport like Magu genkii and worm bosses. I don't have to aim anything and it's AFK .She's always doing damage and never misses and good for multi wave , mobs AND bosses. She's E-skill based so not ER and burst dependant and has permanent uptime on it. Plus she's a catalyst user so you can even use her Normal Attacks when you need to finish up a chamber. She (falsely) got a bad reputation because of it takes 1.5 seconds to cast her 3 turrets?
(I also have Raiden C3 and she sucks compared to YaeC6. Most of the time you waste a lot of your damage by overkilling , missing enemies, or running after them at the other side of the room when a new mob spawns or teleport away or fly too high . Not to mention using your burst at the wrong time and having no damage at the start of the next chamber)
2-Furina. Her C6 is literally 3 characters in 1. Same AFK E-Skill damage as Yae ,Healing for 18 seconds the entire party (you DON'T need another healer with her at C6) and DPS with elemental infusion, elemental damage buffing for entire team. At C6 you can skip Neuvilette and literally use any random character with her.
For the rest I agree with Nahida (which I made C3),Kazuha(I got C2) and Xilonen (I got C0R1). Zhongli (C0)is also essential in certain situations, especially abyss cycles where you need a shield or have Geo shields.
This list is so accurate,i have all of these characters and its actually very easy to clear content with them,a huge problem i see in genshin though is that people have crappy builds. A lot of players focus only on crit and leave out the main stats a character needs like attack or hp. If you want your character to function then also go for the right sub stats😭🙏
Does anyone feels Nahida value kinda drop a tiny bit after Natlan? She still top five but Fontaine and Natlan propel Hypercarry team to a new height which make slotting Nahida in a team kinda a flex pick rather than a must pick. Except for Clorinde team of course.
I don't understand why people think supports are better than neuvilette. Every support needs a team to function. But neuvilette needs literally no one to beat the abyss
As soon as i got nevelittle i went from 2 staring the abyss to instant 36 star nevelittle is without a doubt the best. Him on the firstline and anybody on the second and you will win prove me wrong
Nahida is still on the bench on my main account. I never found Shinobu and the teams I can make with her are just underwhelming, or inconvenient for AoE and multi-wave.
She is one of the characters I regret the most pulling.

It's always funny watching people in the comments argue over "who is better" or "who you need to only be using" as they constantly try to one up each other with their meta terms amd such.

Never getting #5, I already have every other Hydro character built except him and Mualani and I find his playstyle too boring.
