I am in hopium that Dendro will come and introduce the DoT meta. Since Klee is so kind of pyro DPS that enjoys to be in-field and applies crazy amount of pyro, Dendro and their brining reaction might help her and Napalm Klee will rise.
A fix for Klee? To make Venti Q pull her bombs, and really for her Q to stay on field, add on top of that is for her Passive to change as other than crit hit on charged it's for any crit hit she does, limit it with 2 energy per 1-2s max if you have to, I really do think that's an early game design that creates both of that nerf.
Klee, especially at C6 is actually kinda like a Pyro Raiden that's unfortunately doesn't hit as hard.
But just making her Q work and recharge the team's energy off field would already be a fantastic upgrade for her.
As a Klee main since her first banner, it's really sad how she fell off of meta. I still use her a lot esp in overworld, but when I really want to clear abyss, I just use Hu Tao. It also sucks that her support role is locked behind her cons. Her C2 is one of the most reliable def shred and her C4 allows her to be played as burst sub dps. If her burst only stays when swap, she'll be an insane pyro applier. Fast pyro application plus her battery capabilities might make her replace in what Xiangling is atm.
She might be great Pyro applicator, if her Ult was working Off Field like Xingqiu's
🤔I'm using the Lost prayer weapon and Wanderer's Troupe artifact set with attack as the main stat on each but the flower.
Not fully maxed out talents but pretty up there….I think 8, 6, 6 for the 3 talents

I still have her as my main and while she dose have a habit of taking a lot of damage but I got healers on hand.
I guess its cuz I like smol chars and mages and fae's so I'll make something work and she was my 1st 5 star pull before I understood how things work.
What can fix her???
Maybe an artifact that has a one set effect that makes pyro range skills travel longer and faster and can lock on targets and do more damage…This can help with Klee and Yan Fei and can make Yoimiya even more of a monster….It would look like a firework or something…As if Klee and Yoimiya met and learn to make fire works…
Her range is weird and is very mid range, Giving her a way to hit long away range with charge hits can be a good thing or make her bombs not lob but get thrown like a base ball.
Any of these can be awesome but I'm at AR57 and still rocking the pyro elf.

It’s the “loli” body type in general. Smaller characters are so clunky to play because their body size reduce their movement ranges, hence they need more stamina to reposition.
But concerning a buff?
Weapon: High Base ATK/ Elemental Mastery
Attack Speed +10%. After the character perform 3 normal attack, they gain the Mania effect which gives the following affixes for 2 seconds: normal attack damage +20%, target range increase by 10%, increased resistance to interruption, sprints and charge attack no longer consume Stamina. (A Yae, Kokomi and Klee buff all in one)
Artifacts:
2-piece: Elemental Mastery
4-piece: Hitting an enemy with an Elemental infused Normal/Charge Attack will apply a seal onto them. Hit the target 2 more times with the same element to activate the seal, which create an AoE explosion of said element, dealing 50% of the accumulated damage of the last 3 NA/CA as elemental damage. New seals can be reapplied onto the same target once every 3sec.
Klee number one problem is must be using a lot of stamina for running. Meanwhile her charge atk sometimes required stamina. Evading and attacking is difficult task for klee. Especially when you need to very close to enemy only for normal and charged atk hit. Change klee charge atk to be homing large AoE might be great so solved range problem.
to me, I've never liked klee's kit. I have her (at C1 too lmao) but not once have I ever used her in abyss or anywhere else. she's just so.. clunky and slow and has limited range for a dps. she COULD'VE been a pyro support with her burst if only it wasn't a selfish burst. sigh
at least she's cute and is my little baby
A common take in the past was that she was slightly better than Diluc but more difficult to play. I could never fully agree with this take because of Klee's lack of ease of use and clunkiness. Unless you just really like Klee, I can't really think of a reason to use a character who is barely out damaging Diluc at the cost of being the clunkiest Main DPS in the game. (Unless of course you have C2 which gives you access to Support Klee)

her burst is actually severely underrated b/c while it doesn't have big single hit nuke, the multiplier actually goes up to ~1k% at lvl8 if u stay fully on field, but that's usually not a problem since u cast it almost immediately swapping her in. obviously, this is great against single target but becomes shaky due to rng when there are multiple mobs. thing is, her best sub/off-field dps is xiangling who alleviates that issue AND has c1 and c6 for klee. reason why mono pyro with kazuha, xiangling, and benny made her specifically strong is that she snapshots ALL the buffs: benny's burst, kazuha's dmg bonus, and xl's c6. and if u can do the triple e glitch for 4p crimson witch passive…u see where this is going.
that being said, she is still the most mechanically demanding char in the game so far. i think too many people either refuse to separate xingqiu from her because they think every pyro dps needs him OR they can't commit a lot of time struggling to get comfortable with her mechanics. i think dendro might make her stronger because currently crimson witch set also states in gives burning dmg bonus and klee's known to have the best on-field pyro application. there is also the obvious issue with quality of 5* catalysts being mediocre except kagura's which requires u to utilize triple stack bug like with crimson witch set. ultimately, a lot of things can change with sumeru and potential new weapons for her, but her having high skill ceiling won't change, meaning there will always be a big difference between a good klee player and a inexperienced one.
Fix: 1) smooth animations on Charge atk
2) Specially Redesigning he E with Stagger + Pyro Shered will be the best. Like enemies get staggered when stepped on mine + Lot more dmg(each mine about 20k) in Mine will be the best additions
3) Increasing her Q fire rate + a little more scaling

Man, even just making her burst work off field would help her out a lot in terms of versatility alone
Klee suffers because of a lot of things:-
1. Catalyst users are the worst candidate for being an on-field DPS unit, because their normal attacks are weaker and their charged attacks which have a big multiplier have a huge stamina cost
2. A unit with a small body type has inherent disadvantage in mobility becauss the distance the move per unit of stamina is lowest of the body types.
This combined with point 1, already inteoduces a significant handicap effecting quality of play. Hoyoverse did try to address this issue which brings up my next point
3. Klee's 1st passive does remove the the charged attack stamina cost, but is ruined by RNG. It means that if you have to be stamina efficient while dealing damage, you cannot get used to a consistent attack pattern,whichh results in fhe damage output being inconsistent as well.
4. Abilities with muliple smaller instances of damage suffer from the inability to proc reactions on every hit, because reactions have an ICD. This applies more so on amplification reactions, because the entire damage of one big number will get mutliplied but if that number is broken into smaller fragments only parts of it will get multipled, which results in a DPS loss.
Both of Klee's skill and burst suffer from this very same problem.

Im guilty of having c3 klee and im not even playing Klee nowadays not bcuz she is bad or whatever i just fed her artifacts to other artifacts and i dont want to build her now bcuz i have other priorities, still playing Klee is a different experience than playing any other character
As a Klee haver, I feel like the one thing that would definitely make her kit instantly better is for her burst to work off field.
I don’t think I deserve to be called a klee main bcuz I don’t use her nearly enuf. But imo wat she needs the most to make her viable as a main dps r 2 things:
1. Why in all of God’s name does her charge attack ONLY fire downwards on a very specific angle? It needs to be able to to aim at a nearby enemy that is already in front of her like bow users and other book users do. Her charge attack is so fucking awesome as it’s a fucking lasted beam. So why does it only fire in that 1 direction?
2. The timing for her NA, CA, skill and burst has the worst and most unforgiving times to be able to or not to cancel the animations short and to be able to do the next 1 of them. It is nearly impossible to play her at anything about 30% efficiency bcuz the times at which u can or can’t do another action is long and narrow if that makes sence.
To make more sence let me give a better explanation that I understand. When u do any attack (NA, CA, plunge, skill, burst, etc.), jump, or dash there is a window during the most important parts of any action that u cannot cancel or do any other action, then u get a moment where if u attempt to use another action u get to cancel the ending parts of the current action so that u can do the new action early and skip frames essentially, then some characters get another moment where u can’t do another action early again, then u get 100% free rain to do any action u want without anything stopping u. So for klee everything she does except her N1 and N2 have a normal length animation part that can’t be canceled, have a extremely short (I swear it’s like 0.2s) where u can animation cancel by doing the next action, then she gets the longest period of time ever to which u can’t do the next action until the ending animation has completely finished. From my experience this is the main reason why every1 finds klee so damn clunky. She is unbelievably hard to play and do speedy plays.
From wat I’ve experienced, when I do a charged attack with kokomi I can animation cancel very smoothly and with lots of open time to animation cancel. But with klee I have so little time to time a jump/dash to cancel it that it almost never happens. With klee if u try to jump or dash to early or too late than the extremely short time allowed than it doesn’t do anything. But with characters like kokomi the time u got to do so is so much longer that u gotta be skilled at being bad to fuck up. This is were u can find vids on YouTube of ppl managing to use hu tao and do charge attacks without even moving from a certain spot and they r able to spam them faster then her normals, but u never see it with klee. If u r skilled enuf u can do some really impressive charge attack spam with hu tao and other characters but klee is designed in a way that does not allow that to happen.
Well you can't use klee without proper party and she must be pampered if you want to make klee your main DPS. I literally using Zhongli,Raiden,and Bennet/Xiangling just so that she can hit without worry and burst always ready on her.
I still identify as a Klee main, but thats only feasable with a strong shield. I usually only play her while also having Zhongli on the field. Which makes it hard to play her co-op. Increasing her main defense and decreasing her stamina cost of charged would help a lot. But I'm not sure there's really a way to fix her, compaired to current standards.

I think one crucial question that must be asked when evaluating a character is the following: what exactly did HYV intend?
Our community now actually considers Klee "solved" (at least until dendro comes out), although it took a while to do so, and even longer for the information to spread into other communities. Even still many people don't really acknowledge it. As people already mentioned "mono pyro" is Klee solved and it essentially takes care of all the concerns and doomposts around her. Things about her design make a lot more sense now.
With genshin being primarily reaction focused it makes sense why it took such a long time for people to adapt and take teams without reactions seriously. But it's also understandable since genshin has such a reaction focus.
Analysing Klee’s kit now, it is pretty clear that HYV's planning for her since 1.0 wasn't to synergise with the reaction supports like diluc or hu tao etc. It makes sense that she has insane synergy with xiangling or kazuha. If HYV "intended" for something else, I think it would've been discovered by now, yet nothing quite synergises as well as this team.
Though things aren't entirely perfect as no one understands what HYV are doing with 5* catalyst weapons which are all questionable and she doesn't have an actual artifact set yet. There is still tons more room for speculation and growth
However, Klee is probably one of the more obscure and difficult case to analyse. It is very easy to say we are on copium and she actually has been shafted. And it's probably a lot easier to look at someone like Kokomi or Kazuha and see that HYV did indeed have future plans for upcoming artifacts or tailoring content around them. So yeah, there is a chance mihoyo have been planning a lot for Klee with dendro but aside from speculation only time will tell.
Despite fading into obscurity I still find her character fun to play especially along with Raiden and or Jean
Klee melt dps with er ganyu and shenhe is actually quite good
1:27 You know her skill hits 3 times before it explodes right? So assuming all 8 of the mines hit, thats a 548% multiplier at level 1 and 986.4% at level 10.
