  2. Idk if i read it somewhere (i think someone's headcanon i read very early in game that i just assumed was canon) but i always thought kaeya was kaenria prince and that's why he looks different. I can't unsee now and if he is mixed,maybe that wasn't allowed. Some stupid conflict like "how dare you have a baby with someone ho belives in god" and then he was abandoned(????. Idk i swear idk how i got the kaeya prince of kaenria idea but i can't let go and want it to fit so bad 😭😭😭

    Edit: so maybe im thinking to much of this BUT what if kaenrians that somehow avoided becoming monsters wanted to preserve the race and wanted to marry kaenrians to… you know. And baby kaeya was abandoned cuz he didn't fit the goal.

    Also kinda funny that kaenrians gatekeep their knowledge cuz they feel abandoned by gods, but kaeya is the product of one of them and someone from the land of scholars, the god of wisdom land.

  6. I think I heard a similar theory way before even Inazuma was released. It might be even more interesting now that we know about the relationship between the goddess of flowers and King Deshret. There seems to be a lot of reoccurring themes of forbidden love among the land of knowledge

  8. i like this theory! but going off of the arabic word, considering Sumeru isn't just made up of Hindi words (Persian, Arabic, etc all there), it's more likely that Khaenri'ah just has close ties to Sumeru, or that perhaps its people originated from Sumerans. plus, where does that leave his last name and the real life lore of alberich? would his father/their clan be able to be considered regents? how did he escape with Kaeya all the way to Mondstadt, where another Khaenri'ahn happened to eventually start off at with us, instead of Liyue or a potentially closer nation? Especially since he would have blended in much better… the plot thickens

    There were leaks of Kaeya’s Sumeru skin where he is wearing a very Indian clothing such as patiala pants and has tied his hair into a braid. I also feel he is half Sumerian and half Khan’riahn

  13. I’m honestly interested to learn how Kaeya’s parents met. Perhaps his mother was once a student from the Akademiya researching Khaenri’ah, before she embarked on a journey to go there. Arriving in Khaenri’ah she met Kaeya’s dad and they fell in love and had their son, Kaeya.

    Also I’m more interested to learn about Kaeya’s father, I feel like there’s just so much to him than what’s on the surface. Especially given his love towards Kaeya and his desire for him to live a happier and safer life.

  18. I like the blend of Indo-persian culture in sumeru it is based on Kushan Empire. Genshin base game itself is a blend of many beliefs. So just enjoy the game.

  19. I always wondered where Kaeya's dad returned to after leaving Kaeya in Mondstadt. The fact that his dad crossed the entirety (assuming that they were previously in Suneru) of Liyue a safe nation, to go to Mond— another safe nation but further away —would be definite proof that it plays a major key role.

    But, is his dad just living underground? Possibly lurking in Mond and its yet to be revealed underground locations? I don't think his dad is dead but knowing that he's somewhere is scary to think about.

    Also Kaeya does exhibit Sumerian Scholar behavior sometimes with the way he goes about obtaining & protecting information. Him inheriting his mother's wisdom would make his dad leaving him behind knowing he's a capable child more believable

  30. I've always wondered how Dain managed to stop the curse from spreading all over his body. And how did Kaeya's dad and presumably his ancestors escape the curse? Weren't they all affected by it? Just how was Kaeya born? Who are his parents? What happened to his father after Kaeya was left in Mondstadt? Will there be a time when he has to choose which side to be on? I think it is very unlikely that his dad is dead.. Maybe he's still watching him. Or… Just a speculation.. What if the cryo abyss herald (I think) which appeared in the 3.5 livestream cutscene was Kaeya's dad..? I know it sounds highly unlikely, but it just randomly came to my mind. Well, there are only a few more hours to go and we'll get the answers, hopefully.

  32. Not exactly related, but if you look at Kaeyas vision, his only has 2 sets of wings. A normal mondstadt vision has 3.
    I'm aware most already know this- but for those who dont, here's a cool fact for you! ^^

  33. It's possible one parent was from sumeru, but his other parent was from Khaenri'ah.

    The mix of the genes caused his pupils to be smaller, not having light colored hair, but still some aspects of being possibly from Khaenri'ah

  36. What’s your source for the meaning of Kaeya’s name? I’ve searched all over for a proper source but all I could find on google was those baby-naming sites, which all used other baby-naming sites as sources. I’ve also asked people who know hindi and the closest I’ve gotten are words that sound similar, but they mean completely different things.

    Seriously, is that a myth made up by baby-naming sites or have I just not asked the right people?
