I've read all of Kinich's character story's and i'm glad someone talks about this, just what did Ajaw do to get sealed away-
With the contract stating that Kinich's death would result in Ajaw taking control of Kinich's body, this must mean that Kinich met Ajaw after Kinich fell in battle and was resurrected

Reminds me of Kayn and Rhaast from League of Legends in a way. Rhaast is a cursed sentient weapon that wants to take Kayn's body and Kayn wants to get full control of Rhaast, so the two become rivals yet friends in a fked up way, since eventually one of the two would perish.
It's a bit of a different situation here but the banter between the characters is somewhat similar.
With how similar they are to Traveler and Paimon it could be a similar situation with them too. Traveler fishes Paimon out of the water but what happened between then and the beginning on the beach is unknown. Checked the cutscene and it says it was two months…

The way Ajaw keeps referencing to himself as a Sovereign, I wonder if it’s possible he may be a FRAGMENT of the Pyro Dragon Sovereign, at least, the last remaining piece of his consciousness that was sealed away in the bracelet.
Could ajaw be niebelung, the king of dragons? I mean, his name translates to "divine lord", he appears black with red eyes in kinich's ult, like the dragon in the story "der niebelungslied" and his pixelated look could represent the "old era" or be the consequence of interacting with forbidden knowledge. And that would explain why he was sealed away, since niebelung brought forbidden knowledge in teyvat.
