Call me a baby, but Dendro and Hyperbloom really killed my excitement for most characters and builds in the game. I feel like Genshin has been solved, and is so easy because of it that I can’t get pumped up the way I used to for more characters. I also don’t really have anywhere to test my limits or need to use my brain. It just hasn’t innovated in 4 years

Update on meds and how well they worked?
Dabble In speedrunning. It’s fun I promise.
Tbh the only reasons left on why I still play genshin is pulling for characters. I recently try to pull for navia and her weapon but ended up with mistplitter so i pulled for ayaka. I like her VA and i dont have a cryo dps yet so it ended up a nice pull for my account. I skip the story in game and just watch others gameplay and lore theory videos because I just feel like a zombie going all through the dialogues. And I think this will be the cycle for my experience in this game for the next upcoming patch. Genshin for me became a morning ritual to start up my brain for the day.
Idk about everyone else but im loving genshin rn, still hoping for more endgame content tho
Been saying what you've been saying since Dendro came out. Hyperbloom has completely broken the combat system of Genshin, which is why now, most shit in Abyss requires it – and then when you try to run some other "typical comps", you just get shat on. They've had to balance everything around Hyperbloom now.
Maybe that's how the devs fulfill their players' wish to increase resin cap instead reducing artifact RNG system to ease farming efforts, so that they come up with new reaction that only want higly achievable EM stats hence the players won't need to farm artifacts for months to get proper stats. I'm okay with bloom reaction, honestly it opens up many new teams that include non-meta charaters, I rather disagree on how hyperbloom multiplier is already top ranks even on poorly EM built that makes hyperbloom feels a bit unbalance. So I suggest play dendro with bloom/ spread/ agravate.
>uses homa on zhongli, obvious whale
>hyperbloom ruin the game blablabla
please , stop whale
Try to do only 4 stars clears.
They should like a rogue like stuff in genshin too so its more engaging like hsr
Me using my neuvillette, nahida, kuki and zhongli team today in abyss 🧍♂️
i'm not complaining about hyperbloom, raiden shogun EM, or power creep. but my main concern about genshin is the contents. the only place to try my build is just spiral abyss. there is no other place that i can use for that. while in hsr, not only memory of chaos but they made so much place for that. i feel bored when i do map exploration in genshin right now, because the mechanism for exploration is about flying, running, do some jumping, shoot target, etc. there is no mechanism that require me to use my build that i already have.
*so much fun in simulated universe gold and gears right now from the start of the version. feels boring to do exploration in fontaine area right now
Man I don’t even know what this is I have not played in so long
try burgeon diluc dude it's kinda good and underrated lol
True seriously it feels like my efforts has been robbed from me
I stopped playing genshin once the 2nd patch of star rail dropped and genshin hasnt improved in 3years.
😂
QOL like Freaking Artifact storage or builds for specific characters so you can just toggle and swap them to one of your preselected build is something that I feel like is mandatory now. It was already tiring having to use unused characters as Artifact holders for my main characters I use.
As for Hyperbloom being op, once Pyro and Cryo Archons come, I'm sure things will change for the better. (Too optimistic)
Hyperbloom Impact
Mtashed: I like HSR more than Genshin because I have to build a team instead of just maxing one character.
Also Mashed: I don't like Genshin because a hyperbloom team is better than my hypercarry Raiden Shogun.
In all seriousness, it's a single-player game. It's as easy or difficult as you want it to be. Similar to the pokemon community with the various challenges, there are plenty of people who refuse to use hyperbloom in the abyss. There are plenty of people who are too lazy to EM build Raiden because it's a waste of resin. Mtashed needs to realise CCs and whales are the minority in the game and if they want something more challenging, they're gonna have to make similar player-created rules.
The only reason HSR doesn't have the same burn-out is because it's new and shiny. HSR is at 1.6. The Genshin equivalent was the launch of Dragonspine. Go watch Mtashed's video on Genshin then and see how he felt about the game.
When you try to speedrun a game that's meant for casual players you're in big trouble. I've played casually (half an hour to an hour a day) and never really felt the need to 'beat' the abyss. It's been a fun ride.
I'd also like to point out that you don't need Kuki for every team. I literally run a comfy Thoma "not meta" burgeon team and have never had issue. Genshin wants to give you multiple ways to succeed but some people only want the biggest numbers and see anything but the most meta characters as failures. If that's the case the game would be very boring because everyone will need the top dps in the game in order to succeed rather than the aesthetic, playing-style or story/lore that they enjoy.
Hyperbloom raised the damage floor but not the damage ceiling. My top 1% itto melts his side of the abyss in 30 seconds, something I could not pull off with hyperbloom, since there is sort of a damage cap.
Hyperbloom feels more like a sidegrade than an upgrade, like as an extra option that can exist besides the original vaporize/freeze comps. But maybe its just a matter of perspective, and everyone just values their own high and time value differently.
To this day I still don't have a single 5-star GD circlet. Weeks? More like years.
Easy, throw Nahida with a Yelan/Xinque and Baizhu, then put Diluc with the same items you have on Raiden, and you got yourself a beautiful Diluc 🙂
Yeah i feel you I've been quitting genshin about a year ago cause it just wasn't exciting at all happy now playing hsr not gonna lie I just love it
Saaaaammee.
This is like buying the sims for $30 and then everybody gets it for free the next day
The only reason why sometime i play Genshin is the story. If the story isn't good i wouldn't play again this game.
I bored of this repetitive game. Getting 36 stars is kinda boring if I get it every reset
That's sad, definitely will miss your videos on genshin, was expecting your thoughts on raiden banner😂
I used to disagree a lot with your views (and still I think I do) but on this video I'm on the same page as you. Been playing for this game for two years and I'm already started to "burned out" despite not be able to be the "pro" level player despite AR60. Even though I have yet to finished floor 12, its getting repetitive and not as exciting as before I used to. Honesty I wish Genshin put more than just the Abyss floor being the only endgame content. Some of their events that allows players to restrict RES or buffing the enemies' abilities is actually more fun even though I truly struggled, but that's about it. The rest of their events are just not that fun to play tbh, even the recent one with the Two Musketeer story. The only thing that keeps me going is for their primogems on daily quest which is honestly tiring considering I don't invest much money into the game so that I can pull for the characters I want instead. But that too felt burned out, nothing that exciting as I used to. I'm also looking forward for the next expansion of the map but I wish they could deliver more content like their younger sibling, HSR. At least make me a reason why I care so much about this game other than their characters and primogems.
Whereas Honkai Star Rail even though its way harder than Genshin, they always give out amazing updates of events that don't rely on their main and story quests. I haven't even jammed the Swarm or Gold and Gears abyss yet, I haven't been bored ever since. My overall characters aren't well build yet unfortunately because I rather focus on whoever I wanted to build, so hence I kinda struggled a lil bit haha. This patch, however, is probably the first time I don't really get excited because there's only literally just one event atm before Penacony comes.
IMO, Genshin should really learn from HSR and added more content than just having the Spiral Abyss. I would be appreciated even if that content would be much harder to beat than the former.
What the hell is that game has to even play ? By a rare chance you have something to play, it's a fucking joke, even more of a joke when you play dendro related team, remember the arguement people always say about genshin is that it has no power creep ? It literally does, in a form of dendro, so unless they literally have dendro immune enemies, it will always be relevant with minimal investment. For a game that has no other end game AND also have powercreep, MAN. The only end game it has also become way easier, it kills off the thrive to build your character, even more than it already is btw.
All said and done, my raidne will forever be built as hypercarry, and my yae miko will always be built as a off feild dps with less than 100 em in a hyperbloom team😂 i wanna have fun and see big numbers, not giving in to the easy route
Yeah that's understandable
Not my proudest fap, but it'll do
HSR is still fresh.. it will reach the same point as genshin in the future.. like every game created..
Klee isn’t the best character but I have her skin & maxed friendship, she’s adorable and I love her in the events 😭
When I cam back after from a break spanning from 1.3 to 3.4. I was so shocked that most of the best units in the game were still from year 1. Not even just that, but the new ones were actively worse even though I preferred their designs. Makes wanting to pull on new banners kind of pointless outside of design.
Navia for is my Geo DPS after years of skipping Itto and holding out as well as not building my C6 Noelle yet since others kept coming out. I pull for util and strength like Furina sure but mostly for FUN and FLASH aka Navia. Or looks lol I skipped Nuevilette because I knew his play style wasnt for me and I was right no regrets. Id like Itto one day for fun but hes not needed Ive had my account since launch pulling only for meta or power not because it FEELS fun to play or synergies to in a fun way isnt what I'd do. Shenhe buffs my cryo but I pulled her cause HOT lol.
You can play 4 characters and Kuki is just one of them LOL
Easy? you only cleared it with 7:05 left, that is not impressive, you nearly failed to 3 star, LOL
To someone in this chat box is comparing this game with HSR, they both are completely different I don't like HSR's turn based gameplay compared to Genshin's free style and adventure. If HSR was not turn based like I was fighting not restrained I would've switched to it long ago but that would never happen unless genshins lore gets completed and server stops.
Nuevellete is good because his floor at C0 is high, if you're comparing floors, alhaitham at C0 beats him handedly
My opinion is Dendro actually brought fun to the game. it elevated shitty characters to be useful. like Keqing got revived, Diluc is more fun and does good damage in burgeon teams. It has lots of ups than downs. No one is forced to use Hyperbloom, it doesn't mater if it destroy all monsters, just don't use it if it ruins your enjoyment. it is the same way if someone doesn't like Raiden shogun as DPS then they aren't gonna pull for her or even c2 because they don't enjoy her so they wont play her. the game is PVE if it was PVP then yes you'd be forced to use these otherwise you wont succeed!
You are dumb to play genshin and Me too
