In light of the recent uproar the community has had. While we should not fault Hoyoverse for not being able to put out new content on time. We will be holding them accountable for not taking measures for emergencies such as this. Genshin Impact content draught to this degree is going to damage the player base no matter how we spin it. Let’s talk about that.

Thank you for speaking truth.
My biggest issue is that it takes upwards of 4+ months to get decent artifacts for one character. I wish they made it easier. It discourages me from pulling new characters because I have to farm for their artifacts
I'd be happy if they give us x3/x2 on arts dungeon/ley line until the next patch 😀
While combat was never the reason why I played Genshin and story is, I still want to use my characters for something other than the Abyss and open world. I want to test them and have fun with those characters but the current state does not allow that. Hoyoverse should focus on their health first and foremost, but they should have also prepared for these kinds of situations.
Still, Genshin to me has been story and exploration first and foremost and in that regard, I am well-fed. I buy Welkin Moon because I see how hard they worked to make the story and map. I don't have a problem with communication. I thought the Twitter posts were enough but I know they could do better. Still, I am in the minority. They should learn to balance this. I can't be the only one happy when the playerbase is so diverse. Many people don't play the game for the same reasons I do
I just hope hoyoverse knows this issue.
Its been ask even before inazuma
Thank you Walrus. Personally I ride a bit in the middle but the Yae Miko situation has had me on edge and frustrated, well… since it happened. And it continues to look like Hoyoverse has no intention of giving her at the very least, the Iframes she was marketed as having in her demo.
It leads to a bit of a slippery slope with the current game situation. Even things the like resin system, players need and deserve more resin and at the end of the day, people are always still going to spend to use more. But there is too much to grind and not nearly enough material to even make a dent.
Also, I got sick as hell last week and it really put into perspective how terrible the grind IS. When you NEED rest and can barely function, but you also have a character goal you’re trying to meet so you feel you NEED to do your dailies at the very least.
Breaking news: Video game player discovers capitalism and complains about it!
Honestly I feel like this situation that has caused GENSHIN to be a drought I personally think HYV should’ve of had been a little bit more prepared for things like this.
I feel like they had the time to at least be aware of what situation they’re in since their HQ is in CN, They got too greedy and they also didn’t care about anything unless it benefits them so in one way I think this should be an eye opener for HYV to get their S#!* together.
Far as the newer players what they need to do is enjoy GENSHIN IMPACT story and Archon Quest,Regular quest for now. Far as EG it’s up to them if they should invest themselves into or not because SA is pretty dead end game anyways. Also another advice for the newer players invest into the characters that you have,Save your primos,Do not spend a single dollar on this game until HYV is able to give us and update for this game.
Far as me a older player to this game I’m just going to continue to do my dailies,Continue to lvl up the rest of my other characters that I did not invest in,Grind,Farm and stack these primos until we get 2.7.
I’m a very patient person so I can wait.
Bro they have already made enough money with genshin. They don't care if the game dies ..It is a PvE game and it will remain the same ..they won't change anything.
What I have heard that they are focusing on new game .
Genshin going to see some negative growth like facebook hit a wall on milking the number of people joining. Completely the opposite thinking compare to FFXIV in treating their player base… lol Gacha or mirco transactions are how both these game survive, but if you don't respect all players time and energy and the only content are unit locked behind a paywall it's not going last the love for this game. FFXIV have a much more robust Action RPG frame work and there is love put into every aspect of it from world quest to main quests. The PVP in it is 100% optional in that it doesn't mean you have to grind it to progress in the story with winning to gear up. It have the player base wanting to buy in game sawg to pimp out there units instead of demanding it.
So in regard to Genshin is a time gated action RPG with players not caring about side quests but they feel lack luster effort was being put into them. And they ones they do build up and SHOULD be voiced are not when some of them are better than Voiced event stories…
That feeling I've had for a year of wishing they would do the things in the game a little more effort into it I thinks others are starting to see. I wanted to see growth in how they tell stories and create more meaningful character story quests with regard to them and the other units in the world. But it still feel like they are putting all there effort into the Gacha system units and it paywalled hard for the fomo. Some of the literal cool stories in this game is lore hidden in text books you get into game and they might only tease to their stories by dropping artifact names… (La Signora Boss fight!)
I think HoYoVerse doesn't realize why this game became so popular…. they are company that banks on Waifu and Hudbando collectors… but WHAT they actually built is a JRPG that people are more invested in with a really awesome combat system. lol We where expecting the growth in the RPG side to happen but it's been staying status quo and on top of not giving players other options to use our units in… there nothing to do!!!
I've also hit the point of not wanting to recommend this game despite staying invested in the world as whole. the fact that event stories are removed from the game is also a slap in the face to player base. I understand that event rewards and challenges are gone but why complete remove the stories as well in a RPG?
over 90% player base of this game haven't beaten spiral abyss. Yeah it's not that easy. Personally, I would prefer PK in Genshin then Spiral Abyss.
I'm just waiting for TOF.
Well you were quick to do a 180, last video was about how we had to "chill" and I commented pretty much the same idea in this video.
The lockdown is indeed a terrible situation and I feel bad for the development team and other employees but Hoyoverse as a company has no reason to be this lazy.
Quick solution to keep the playerbase interested in this barren of content extended patch? LET US FARM EVERYTHING FOR HALF THE COST, not doble rewards, not a couple of times, just let us open everything for half the cost, not like it's going to get us to breeze past the 6 layers of RNG a artifact needs…
Less time trials, more survival, there are healers and tanks LET US USE THOSE.
LET US FREAKING FARM FOR EXTRA GAMEPLAY, if there was another way to get resin outside of paying and waiting we could be doing something, people really think everyone would stop buying refreshes? hell no, there's literally nothing to do once you catch up and spend the 8 runs worth of resin the game gives you daily.
The worst part is that the game doesnt market itself as a gacha game it promotes it self as laid back relaxing game with some battles. When a game promotes it self as such it doesnt make sense to force the players to grind for breadcrumps or else they feel like they miss out.We shouldnt have to grind like this and the players that do should be awarded more."But the ar levels isnt exactly what you describe?" No because the ar levels take so much time to complete but they arent even worth it at the end when you reach the next ar after ar 57.Even the abyss follows that pattern until floor 8 you get rewarded like crazy!300 primogems each floor and as new player you are like "wow the abyss really is worth it" until you realize that you dont even get a pull by completing each floor after floor 8.The only reason players play the abyss isnt for the primogems but for the satisfaction seeing that they beat the hardest part of the game and validate their efforts of spending so much time building their characters. Its just sad because the game has potential but that potential is pushed back by their need to get more money.Maybe because its the early stages of genshin, since even now the game is not considered complete since it doesnt have a ending , we miss the bigger picture. But if that was the case then they shouldnt make it so difficult getting 5 stars and enjoying the game
If you can learn something from a game fall from grace that is Overwatch, completely different but you just have to do one thing don't do what those end game players tell you to do.
This is arguably the worst time for them to encounter a delay. ToF just opened their beta testing and more people are getting interested in playing it simply because its close to Genshin and they're bored. I agree, hoyo should have planned something to prevent such delay from happening. For fariness, maybe they did have one but couldnt implement it since nobody thought that the lockdown would be this rough. Pretty sure they have measures since they are well aware that the game launched while the pandemic was high
Duh it is imposible ro satisfy all people bro. Beside genshin from beginning is a casual game. And not only that it primary device is mobile. Just because it can be play with other devices. It is still mobile game in the end.
People who keep complain is just faking brat. No matter what u say it will not change. There no mobile game have any miningful thing to do realistically. Cos game only exist to fill ur free time. The content will added little by little in all kind of mobile game. And in the end of the day still no meaningful. If u want to find something meaningful then get a real life bro.
that huge revenue from Raiden banner can be invested more in gameplay contents but it seem like Hoyoverse want to delay it somehow.😅
As one of my whale friends ( who has spent over $5k on genshin and quit) says, Hoyoverse is trying to make genshin the literal cash cow and their focus is to get more players to play the game, hence the ads everywhere and also them wanting us to give them free advertisement by sharing links for minimal rewards.
They dont want to focus on the late/endgame because that was never their goal to begin with. They already got the time/money from the people who joined the game and played for so long, during which they either spent money and/or got their friends to play the game.
And its a pity that they're still trying to advertise the game despite billions in profit.
I thought they could be like Lamborghini..you know…the no ads part.
but sadly, they want more and more, so that they can fund their other games. I heard there was this new fps gacha game they were going to announce soon.
Might as well just stay f2p, pay the least to gain the most, and have good time playing some things with friends without spending.
This morning I got an announcement from Hoyoverse of a new game releasing this month. Wondering…do they have multiple studios? Because if all this work is done in China, it seems strange to delay updates to one game and then release another game. I was (and still am) willing to make allowances for the Genshin delay because the catastrophe is real. But the timing of this new release seems…poor? (Edited to add) that being said, i am never going to play another gacha. The business model of ‘pay a lot, play a little’ is frankly ridiculous. I even wrote to their customer service email awhile back pleading for a way to get more resin. They never answered. Right, they have my money, a lot if it, but me asking for more character development play rime us unreasonable?
Sounds like you've completed the game and you complain that there is not anything to do.
What's wrong of being able to actually reach the end of a game nowdays, does every game need to be infinite?
Maybe play something else and come back after there is new content?
No content that needs to have stronger characters in a game that will reward me with almost nothing else that making my teams stronger each time i do something (either boss/domains/exploration/events/spiral abyss or whatever)
= no sense of motivation, no goal to reach, no feeling of being the target audience of the game anymore
Why would they even try to correct it?
The more you play the game, the less you need to cashplay, the less they have the need of you playing their game
So I guess it's more interesting for them to put their efforts in trying to bring new players, espacially when it works exceptionnaly well until now
Are you're sure you're not overestimating a skewed perspective from your individual echo chamber? Maybe I'm missing something, but Genshin isn't "dying" by any metric I know of. Quite the contrary (they're making more revenue than ever apart from the initial release hype). Yes, there are hardcore players who are complaining about the lack of meaningful endgame and this part of the community is (as usual) very vocal and loud about it. But as an old time MMO player (since Ultima Online days), this rings true for every single game I ever played in this space. Making the game to your life and or a 24/7 job, trying your best to "rush" through all the content as fast as possible and essentially skipping the game this way, is a sure way to ruin your own fun with it. Of course these players, who than sit at Max Level – one week after release – without anything meaningful to do anymore, will complain about the "lack of content". I'm sure the problem feels real for them. But is it real for the majority of players and is it worth adressing for the Devs in favor of other additions to the game? Genshin isn't designed for this type of player (most MMOs aren't). They burn through every content faster than devs can add new stuff anyways. I'm playing Genshin casually on and off since release and I'm still very happy with my gaming experience. I'm AR44 (so still not in "endgame") and have lots to "achieve". But I don't care about that progress, I just enjoy the moment to moment gameplay. For me the journey is the goal and I won't ever rush that journesy. For me as casual player the game works great because of it since release until today. I'm sure, it would be good to also have more meaningful endgame for hardcore 24/7 players, but should it really be a prioritiy if you look at it from the perspective of the Devs? I'm not so sure.
I think when Tower of Fantasy comes out, Mihoyo will actually be pushed to change.
too bad, another content creator I have to unsubscribe; just drumming up negativity in the name of creating content,
I'm honestly glad that I never spent money, or even grinded that much in Genshin before I quit the game entirely. I knew the game would just go downhill.
I do appreciate this vid, because im kinda tired of hearing hey big company was ready for this situation, Im sorry for the people who are suffering that is different. But this company has made this stale. I want to play it but you are limited in every content. Also the fact that there are so many games coming out that if this game doesn't hold you, its over.
One extra point of view. Even as "old spender" they grabbed us by the balls. Quitting atm Just throws way any investment on the game 🤷♂️
Warframe has an eerily similar issue but it took them about 4 years to get to this point because they have good communication and a good community manager. And still the game feels like a husk of its former self. It's making money for sure, but the community is jaded, to the point where you can't get teammates for coop in some game modes(events).
Mihoyo seem to be speedrunning burning through their community goodwill, and whether intentional or not, they'll end up with a similar husk of a game. By the time the Khaenria region releases it will be recieved with a resounding meh no matter how good it is because players will be exhausted.
imo, just take a break 🤷♂️ come back whenever the new area comes out.
One thing you should realize though, is that Hoyoverse decided to delay Genshin update indefinitely, and yet, they are currently promoting materials for Honkai Star Rail and also, the next version update for Honkai Impact isn't being delayed. I don't think Hoyoverse deserves no sympathy for how they are treating the player base. Their actions have brought them to this situation, and there is no way around it. They are simply treating the player base as cash cows, and this is what I feel, having spent both time and money in this game.
I myself am extremely annoyed with lack of content and main story relevant content too because the only thing I look forward to is story related to harbingers, archon quests and good old Dainsleif, and some endgame similar to Labyrinth Warriors from 2.2. Everyone may have differing opinions on this, but there are people who have been waiting for certain types of content for far longer than I have.
