  1. I am AR 57, and i fully agree. The only way i have found to cut time in the artifact search is whenever i'm not farming an specific character, i farm domains i know they will probably be useful, like, noblesse obligge, or crimson witch, o viridiscent venerer. And i keep the artifacts that are "good" even if they are not what im looking for, so later when i get a character (specially supports tbh) i already have the main artifacts and just focus on leveling them up. I usually strive to have one decent set for each artifact set. I do this specially in newer domains as well.

    That being said i do have friends who have horrible, horrible rng luck with artifacts.

  2. I absolutely agree with you. Better yet the whole artifact grinding is what almost made me quit the game like 2 or 3 times . Its just too freakin tedious and costly.

    Log in do dailies , do a worldboss , participate in an event , farm a few materials and talent / exp books , check up on the teapot … mostly I dont have the resin left to really bother with artifacts ,or I simply dont have the time.

    Not too long ago, I decided to invest in talents and weapons and just use what I have or get : meaning most of my characters use mediocre Gladiator or Wanderer's troupe . I have a few 5 star characters I dont even use, simply because I dont have any artifacts for them >.< . I keep hoping something will change someday , but it seems that is wishful thinking 🙁

I have recomended to alot of my friends and other people in the genshin community that they should add the possibility to chose the stats of one of your artifacts when you complete the domain a certain numbers of times, or even have a tima gated perfect artifact once a month, alot of them say: "that would kill the game, you would get perfect artifacts on every character and don't play it anymore" wich is absolutly false, since if you got 1 perfect artifact once a month you couldn't even equip 3 characters in 1 year, and we get so many new character a year, second if genshin can't even make content for us to keep engaged outside of the artifact system, then they should rethink the way they aproach the game

  4. its crazy how much RNG there is and ye exactly as you mentioned ive farmed itto and albedo in something like 2-3k resin , meanwhile im well over 30k into EOSF domain and i dont have even decent ones for my raiden

  5. The thrill and confidence you get when you get a good artifact is completely annihilated when you max it out believing it will be good AND IT GOES TO FLAT HP AND DEF. It’s not a good feeling knowing I scored immaculate artifacts to seem them go to passable for now. I can’t quit now tho I spent money

  6. This game will be dead in 12 months mark my words. This is the reason why. Artifacts are essential yet impossible to obtain. You can’t gatekeep something that’s needed. I hope they fix it before then but they likely wont.

  7. FINALLY! Someone else who addresses the excess in RNG Layers directly!
    (I'm almost crying, this is proof that I'm not going insane…)

    Anyway, there are 3 things Vars forgot to mention:
    – There are many Sets that could be viable but aren't cause they only exist in 4-star rarity or lower.
    – Speaking of sets locked in lower rarities, did you know there are 1p Sets in the game?
    – On top of several characters, what if players want to have more than one build for a given character? (like how I have a Thundersoother set I used on Razor that I use to bulli Raiden and other Electro-related memes. Lately I've been too busy to improve it any further than I already have though)

    Finally, my idea to solve the artifact problem: stat rerolling with other artifacts as currency.
    (similar to the Artifact Strongboxes, only with the opposite end result)

  8. then the fact that so many things need resin: bosses (weekly AND daily), talent books, leylines AND artifact domains. 160 cap is absurdly low, esp for high AR players. mhy then insults us by not making the drops truly random bc there's no way I'm constantly getting def/hp% for every artifact from witch's domain, but when I actually need those stats from husk/clam set, I'm suddenly getting atk/crit/ER and def/hp% is rare. 🤔

  9. Yeah, the gatekeeping on this game is even worse than on 'HoYo's previous flagship title. And that's saying something. I've been playing from month 2, and I'm not raising my world level past…AR 50?…because I've already gotten to the point where new characters take too much time/resources to be usable even without farming artifacts for them. I don't have enough time most days to even go through resin for progression materials, let alone all of this RNG stuff, and I still end up doing artifacts more than skill dungeons just because they have a higher bearing on the character's stats. (also, forbidden rift is awful).

  10. i get that those that grind content day 1 notion you said in the video but what about those that say " fuck doing the content cause there is no crown mihoyo where is all the content that is worth doing"

  11. i think they should put more artifacts into the strongbox. I mean if they have basically 5 layers of rng, might as well add another. Maybe one for every elemental artifact set. Also that feature is left in the gutter. No one uses it unless they want noblesse. Also Also, lavawalker and thundersoother will finally has a use!

  12. i like the RNG but I dont love it tho but the resin is killing me. imagine you already got a gud stats and when you lvl it up it goes to stats that you dont need considering its has CR and CD and Atk%, why it must go to hp or def? it hurts man.
    PS: sunday should come cheap. like all domain is 5resin then everyday world boss no resin but longer resurrection

  13. i agree and also i think a interesting way to fix this would be a pity system like on the weapon banner where you can put in what set, main stat and maybe 2 or 3 sub stats you want

I wish hoyoverse would listen to genshin players complaints about the game because most of the time theyre just as valid and well thought out like this video and it would improve the game experience so much, ive seen people critize so many aspects that are a genuine hinderance to being able to actually enjoy the game, love this video, you bring up amazing points and its genuinely nicely formulated!

  15. I feel I solution would be .
    Make the reward for Abyss clears as some consumable gadget that can change the substat
    That way you actually have a reason to grind and improve your characters.
    And since each patch is around 3 Abyss resets .
    It will still take people time to max out every one of their sub stat on each piece , after which a new character/ set

  16. the real problem is in the meme "look at me, i am the main stat now", the fact that the sub stat can potentially overwhelm and have more influence than the main stat is why it feel unrewarding. having layers of RNG isn't the problem, having them all contribute heavily is. the substat doesn't feel like the cherry on top, you are dependent on substat to be good and that is the problem.

  17. i've been farming the heart of depth domain for HALF A YEAR now religiously yet the only good thing i've gotten is a feather,,, maybe i have to drop childe lol
