It's strange. Most gacha games are way more secretive. Genshin is one of the few gacha games that gets leaked so hard. Maybe JP gachas are more anti-leak among it's culture than CN gachas. Either that or jumping from 3 employees to 4000 in 8 years has that effect.
Leaks are really bad for the game. People need to stop only thinking about the apparent "convenience" they bring.

I'm probably alone on this one but I think whoever leaked everything is in the wrong. I see people defending leakers all the time saying that they're the ones who tell us things when hoyo doesn't but come on– it's hoyo's product so they should be able to choose when they reveal things. Sure if there's something set to happen less than a week from now and hoyo isn't communicating with the playerbase then that's another story. However the things that were leaked this time weren't supposed to be here for literal months to possibly a year from now. Leakers are stealing their product hype for clout. If hoyo were a smaller company and weren't meme'd to hell and back as being money hungry, everyone would be a lot more inclined to agree how messed up this is.
Also, a lot of people are saying that this amount of leaks is fine since not EVERYTHING was leaked, but we still have months to go. More leaks will come out.
They just want to make it a big deal, in reality, in the down time like this it's THEM that want things to get leaked. In fact, they make a big deal of this to make you aware of the fact that there's a leak going on right now, go find it. Unless people leak the new repeatable content or any artifact RNG change or any gems increase daily (not the 20 increase daily one, I've already known that), otherwise I don't give a crap about new character or whatever

Tbh the only leak I enjoy are character and weapons lol, so I can actually plan for my primos but this massive leak 2.0 is something I don't like 😂😂. I'm actively avoiding any genshin leaks rn cause I don't want to be spoiled. Aside from the characters, I like the content to be introduced by hyv the way they want to present it.

Remind me again , the last time Hoyo took down honeyhunter bcoz they shown their leaks , honey protested and started spurring racist remarks , and after gaining copium amount of supporter and the whole ordeal and been blown over , honey hunter now STILL have leaks and ads on their website. WHAT LMAO? Its almost like Hoyo is the one that should be gaining more help than these bastard taking other's intellectual properties and leak it around for their self gain.

In this game, I consider leaks as teasers. They update the game so slow like an indie company.
i was shocked at the leaks, i thought we would have to wait until at least the start of 2.8. they even leaked the animations of a character coming in 3.1
