I'm not her biggest fan but I think Noelle is the most underrated character in the game. She has a good kit. Everything in her kit scales of DEF and if you're like me you have some cracked DEF main stat pieces and every day you ask yourself why you're not building Noelle.
She has one of the best shields in the game plus access to geo resonance which I think is the best resonance in the game right now. I think her builds are flexible too; 4p Glad, 4p Bolide, 2p Petra 2p Glad/Shime. Top that off with the additions of Redhorn, a 4p Husk and Gorou? Not to mention she has healing in her kit as well. She's in a pretty good place right now if you ask me.
Kaeya is the most underrated character in the game.

Razor on the other hand is a good unga bunga right character and I think he is kinda forgotten at this point. He is still a fun unit in my opinion

What you really prove is that Utility Characters > DPS Characters. Ara ara buff buff! EDIT – But Sony seriously needs to get on Hoyo to get this woman some **constellations**! Would be a good "out" to improve her kit.
Personally yanfei is the most underrated, I love using her and she is super fluid, strong, and fun. Probably my favorite catalyst by a long shot. Her design is also top tier.
My opinion is that Aloy is the worst fucking unit in the game, Amber and Xinyan are both stronger than her.

I most definitely, with 100% confidence, say Thoma. Just like Aloy, no one ever talks about him, even less than Xinyan. He could've been a Pyro Xingqiu but no, he's garbage at C0 but after getting a few Constellations, he's OK but still not good enough due to his overall poor scaling. Just use units like Tankfei for better Shields or Yun Jin for better NA buffs.

this has been changing recently but rosaria has been pretty underrated for a while, especially her crit boosting, you cant see it in the numbers but people really undervalue how much more damage youre getting in the long run from 12-15% extra crit rate on your whole team especially for f2ps which struggle in getting enough crit rate
I can do that ult damage with 2 Ganyu shots

The most underrated character is Xinyan~😔 If we’re speaking on playability and meta Xinyan has more cons than pros which really hurts how the community sees her.
Despite all the benefits she has😩in her kit there’s unbalance because of split scaling and it really leaves her somewhat subpar no matter how you build her.
Some players use Xinyan as a Phys support building her with Def increasing her shield’s durability while providing a minimal buff but for the character’s who focus on dealing Phys Dmg could opt for Zhongli or mitigate interruptions by use of elemental reactions.
Personally I believe her strengths lie in making her a Burst Dmg Dealer since all of her benefits shine around her burst~😌

Barbara is underated. She's a good driver for many off field sub dps, with clam set she can do more dmg than she used to, and you can't die with her as driver. And with er sands, xinqiu, and prorotype amber she will get her ult back without elemental skill ever on, and it heal massively, for all your party member.
Sayu because most people call her worse Jean but honestly I choose sayu over jean for better healing overtime .and better swirls for VV.
As for Aloy ngl I think shes the worst character in the game

She’s on par with Razor on the tier list, and I really like the wolf boy. She’s fun to play. I use her every mining cycle to hunt along with collecting ores. Come to think of it, I should put a better bow on her than the freebie.
Barabara is the most underrated character for me. She can run Thrilling Tales and Noblesse. She also provides aoe and off-field healing.
I agree about Aloy! I use her as Eula replacement after not being able to get her. Even shared the same boss drops! In short, I enjoy pretending that Aloy is Eula but bow user all along with the similar backstories…
I also used her in my hunter team, so that birds and boars would not get startled easily!
I just simply can’t agree, I actually did build her and the amount of investment you need to make her usable is way too much compared to other dps units, her chillwater bombs having a long cd and the stacks having icd make her really bad. Only usable as a burst dps and she isn’t even fun to play like that, they gave her a cryo infusion on her autos and I can’t even use them properly, she’s just bad design

Xinyan & the traveler are both 2 of the most underrated characters.
Xinyan is monster with constellations & even without them. Yes I know that split scaling hurts her but getting def on her artifacts aren't that bad now since it would increase her shield. Yes you still need to get normal dps Characters stats even if she's at c0 but now seeing that 1 def role wouldn't hurt you as much. Not to mention that's she can reduce the enemies physical res with her skill & give physically dmg bonus with it as well (I'm not home so I can't check if it's under her constellations or not). She's definitely great as a main dps & sub dps with and without constellations but people sleep on her because of her splot scaling & her element aka pyro but if they would look past that then she's pretty top tier.
The traveler with every element can fit every single role from support, elemental dps, burst dps, physically dps and sub dps. People other overlook her/him because their are other characters that have those elements but there are few who do it like the traveler. Geo traveler gives crit rate, anemo traveler can swirl with the best of them and electro traveler is an OP battery damn near on ei's level. Not to mention that you can slap on a while host of artifacts on the traveler to boost any role he/she is i & fits into every team comp. People right the traveler off as a very weak character or just a support without actually giving the traveler a chance in other roles.
is it fair if i say albedo? i know he got buffed with a bis artifact set and dedicated support but when his banner was out i’ve seen many ppl saying that he wasn’t meta or that there’s better hu tao teams to run than albedo with her (like double pyro swirl hu tao team) and i saw ppl saying he wasn’t worthy of pulling and building bc “xiangling and xingqiu exist” but he’s literally one of the supports i depend the most of, his EM buff and geo resonance makes my hu tao go crazy strong, and i never worry abt her dying with zhongli paired with them, his sub dps capabilities in mono geo team are also amazing, he played a big part in helping me get 36 stars in abyss, he works well in basically all the teams i build except freeze teams, idk i just rlly like albedo and kinda hated how some ppl under appreciated him on his first banner and rerun but yeah, since he got buffs idk if he’s underrated anymore
Lisa is severely underrated
Not only is she good at electro application, but her burst does decent consistent electro damage
Plus her skill does a crap ton of damage to multiple units
She's also a catalyst user so if you want to run her support, you can with thrilling tales of dragon slayers
And best of all everybody gets her for free, no matter when you started
She's also a great climber 😉
Lisa is underated i mean just stack energy recharge and ttds noblesse
Also there is a team with her and Bennett using the thundering fury 4 set so he can spam his E

I don't necessarily have pick for specific Character. But I have a pick for the most underrated duo which are Mona and Klee Maximizing each others kits. Their Synergy is crazy good.
imo yanfei is a little underrated. her attacks hit hard and her constellations are pretty good. her weaknesses are that she's a selfish dps (her seals disappear when she leaves the field) and her damage comes from charged attacks (which takes up 50 stamina) but her kit works around the second weakness. 3 seals decrease her stamina consumption by 45% (15% per seal) and her c1 decreases it by an additional 30% (10% per seal). she's very fun to play, i love using mona's burst and then yanfei to vape enemies (it hits like a truck)

traveler lol. esp geo, their skill dmg is decent, does dmg twice, has short cooldown, and gives a lot of energy. their burst gives 10% crit rate and keeps big enemies inside (quite fun to play too imo). anemo traveler is quite decent as well if you use a geo construct to keep his burst from going away, and they give anemo shred in c6. also has a bit of healing when killing enemies with skill.
Yun Jin helped make floor 11-3 a piece of cake. Only having built electro main dpses, I struggled so hard with the electro boss on 11-3 and when Yun Jin came out I ran keqing on 4 TS phys, rosaria + diona, and Yun Jin 1/6/9 and her burst significantly increased keqing’s NA damage. I would normally use kazuha but with a boss that moves around like crazy Yun Jin’s buff is irreplaceable and it’s very good for quick attacking NA users, even just keqing’s normal strings I was hitting consistent 16k+ per auto.
