  1. As I said in the video, if you want more context about the situation in Shanghai I HIGHLY advise looking it up yourself, a genshin impact video and comment board is a not a good place to be educated on worldly issues. Do your own research on such things, and yes the situation is very shitty.

  2. Alright there's one misconception that pisses me off a lot that many people seem to have.
In software versioning, after version v0.9, v1.9, etc., the next version is v0.10, v1.10. After that it's v0.11, v1.11 and so on. Versions are not decimal numbers that after 0.9 it would become 1.0

Is it likely mihoyo will drag for more than 10 updates before a major version update? No.
Is it guaranteed that it's less than 10? No.

  3. Them delaying is a precedence that Hoyo should leverage going forward, whether it is for uncontrollable global events or just needing more time to actually better play test their characters before release, etc. Delaying things to deliver a better product for consumers should be appreciated (if that is indeed the reason) vs viewed as a negative

  4. The beta tests do not test the entirety of the patch, and so the beta being over does not in any way equate to the patch being ready to release
Just because the characters and overall stuff tested in the beta is done still doesn't mean that quests are all finished and working properly, that no game-breaking bugs remain, that all the cutscenes and stuff is animated and ready, overall just stuff that you want to work on live release
Can it be fixed if it doesn't? Yes
But fixing it post-release in their current situation would be rather difficult, so it's better to just make sure those things are taken care of before the patch goes live

  5. I’m not fussed as long as there is compensation. I only play like 1 hour or less a day, mostly work full time/school so I don’t have time for much else. I am a bit bummed I’ve been saving since Yae to get Yalen, maybe cookie, maybe yalen weapon, so if there is compensation im happy more primos for wishes.

  6. I personally think that they should just stop doing to 6 weeks for every update and just update when it's ready. Content runs out in the first week r 2 anyways. Honestly I rather them take more time for a better product then rush every 6 weeks. (This is my advice after the covid situation is over, before that they should do whatever they have too. I'm personally using this time to take a break from the game myself. I just hop3 all the workers are safe and ok first and foremost)

  7. for why they are doing this, i'd assume it's them being self aware of the fact that betas that short don't get everything. some quests and other content will be glitched and if they are not at work the ycan't address said glitches so if say a quest or event is unplayable for like 30% of players and would normally be fixed in a few days, or like a week, but it's still enough time for people to do the events because they can blitz through them all in the few days left after all the event content is out. if no one is there to fix bugs there's little reason to risk that because releasing a broken mess is often worse than releasing nothing, especially if said broken mess can't be fixed because no one is working. seriously, post covid shit, it's been long enough guys so companies like this should have work at home solutions by now for cases like this. alternatively um, have someone press a button and rerun an event or 2.

  8. I'm glad that they are staying safe, but imma be honest, the lack of content + delay is incredibly painful, I was close to quitting a lot of times and it just gets harder, I mean at least this time it is not all their fault, just partly because they never added any endless mode to the game or increased/removed resin.

  9. I’m just happy I’m not in Shanghai right now. You know things are getting ridiculous when people in China are protesting. Not to minimize the pandemic, but Shanghai currently has the same number of new daily cases as Los Angeles county, and the masks just came off here. And that’s not even considering that Shanghai has 2.5 times the population of LA. I wish everyone there that they can return to their lives soon.
