  1. Here is my interpretation about the logic of this quest. I guess Dain used to be a member of the Abyss order or at least want to join them due to his regret of not being able to protect his people. But he then realized that the Abyss Order were no longer his people. Driven by the curse, they had become evil and were filled with hatred toward all human. He finally accepted that the curse was irreversible and what he should do is to protect the honor of Khaenri'ah by stopping the Abyss instead of being a hypocrite holding on to the past.

Since Halfdan apologized for his failure to protect the people, he of course knew that Khaenri'ah has fallen. He also knew the plan of the Abyss and that's why he led the traveler to see the flower left by the sibling. The reason why he asked Dain the question, is to tell Dain he agreed with him. Khaenri'ah was a country without a god. It is the pride of human. But Abyss is not. He was content to see the spirit of Khaenri'ah still lived in Dain. Therefore, as long as someone, like Dain, carries on the spirit of the nation, Khaenri'ah will never fall and needs no revival.

  2. I personally don`t understand why everyone (besides me) get`s so hard hittet from this Quest.🤔 I just thought: Interesting Story, but I got no answers of the questions I have, so more Story please."😄

Every time I see somone hard hittet or cry from this quest I smile or laugh, because I dont understand why everyone get`s so emotional from this quest, and normaly I`m a big softy, but in Genshin not realy. 😅

  3. I know dainsleif side sounds more cruel but I trust him more than our sister. She chooses to ignore us and tells us to find the truth of the world and our only source is dainsleif who experienced it first hand unless we get kaeya potentially invovlved as well. Its like saying theres 1 percent chance to cure this disease but 99 percent chance it will kill you and be more painful those odds are not in anyones favour no matter how lucky that 1 percent is

  4. When Dainsleif said "when the hilichurls realize the end is nigh for them", I thought he was referring to when they are about to die. But then hilichurls can't really die so what he means was, hilichurls had a moment of realization that there is no end to their curse, that there is no way out, they can't ever rest in peace.. so they come here and live out the rest of their lives. It's so sad 🥺

  5. The Twins are not cursed, Abraxos – and near the end of this quest you can easily see that the Traveler is NOT affected by the forced purification, unlike Dainsleif or the hilichurls. The Thrones of Celestia cursed people from Khaenri'ah, but the Twins are not – they are alien beings, akin to Gods (they STRONGLY resemble Seraphims, from the number of wings to the whole 'light' motif). The Traveler specifically has an innate Cleansing effect that can purify almost anything (remember the Tear of Dvalin – and during 'The Chalk Prince and the Dragon' event, Festering Desire, the sword contaminated by Dvalin's blood), but we can infer that the Abyss Sibling is the same as well.
About the residue that Albedo distilled from the Traveler – I think that's akin to the 'Archon Residue' that appears in the manga. Long story short, it's a byproduct of dead Gods that Fatui are trying to use to have an even stronger source of power than the Delusions (Collei, a young girl that appears in the manga, is basically a 'human-made lesser goddess' that can go berserk due to that power). If we take for granted that the Twins are, in fact, 'alien Gods' then it's not surprising that Albedo was able to obtain that 'thing' from us.

  6. I'm actually surprised at how dark and sad genshin lore is turning out to be. the writing is really good. this is the 3rd time this game got me very emotional. first was teppei, then Ei's quest when she meets makoto again (this one especially bc i have a twin) and now this dainsleif quest. i cant wait to see more.
ps. i didnt cry when i did the quest myself but then i went to watch your stream and u actually got me shedding a tear along with you

  7. Something that’s sad that I noticed: when you go back to the places the hilichurls were sitting in the quest, you can see a sparkly thing. When you click on it, you can get a few hilichurl masks (like the ones you’d get when you defeat them). I think they died and that’s what remained ;-;

  8. It makes me so happy seeing a game I am so invested in story-wise since it came out ( I started 2 days after release) have such an emotional effect on people. I can't wait for it to get even more dark and depressing, of course there's always gonna be lighthearted moments and I'm happy about that, a good story would be quite bad (at least for me) if it was all about making someone cry in sorrow especially if it's gonna be a long running story. Very excited to see what comes up, I'm ready for more Scaramouche and Dottore lore, Dottore being a Fatui harbinger I'm very hyped for seeing in game! Along with more Celestia things, and maybe eventually seeing the Ruins of Khaerni'ah.

  9. An interesting point to note at 36:30 when the amplification device was activated, Dain's eyes looks bloody, kinda like to show how much intense the pain he was in. And the hilichurls/black serpent knights felt it even worse.

  10. The thing you said about the traveller being cursed was interesting. I was thinking maybe the traveller is cursed like the others but keep in mind their suspicious purifying ability. If that's in their blood it may be negating the curse while it's still inside them? Possible???

  12. Its more messed up when you realized that when you go back to the location where the hilichurls are resting after the archon quest, the hilichurls are nowhere to be seen anymore and there's an investigate option that when you click it, hilichurl mask drop items will appear.

  13. Genshin is not always sunshine and rainbows we know that this kind of thing is about to happened sooner or later after all Hoyoverse is not known for making happy themed games, their past games is always apocalyptic events if you notice it Honkai is one great example we just have to deal and move on with it.

  14. So i kinda had an "Aha !" moment
    the abyss sibling is right
they refer to the former people returning the the natural cycle (aka death and rebirth)
our sibling knows they will die
but is trying to save the souls of the people

part of what gave me this thought was the fact that when the amplification device was lit up it look suspiciously like the ascention material the traveler uses for constellations

and then i remembered that the traveler had a purification ability that they used in the davalin quest

now our sibling has traveled the world and regained more power what if thier purification ability is way stronger and is being used not to cure the hillys but to remove the curse from thier soul

the traveler and sibling are beings from beyond and might be divine
like dain said the curse effects the cursed at a higher level of existence
but if the traveler could purify davalin
couldn't our sibling purify the curse
not save them from dying but allow the former people to return as souls to they cycle of death and rebirth

    it even worked with halfdan
he took the purification directly into his being
and his soul was freed as a result

    im soo sure of this
I just had to write it down here

  16. I'm kinda on the side of Lumine. Dainslief is also the stubborn one here. He is not willing to try anything more than what he's done, anything new. And he talks as a know-it-all just because he experienced it for 500 years… (he's like a boomer XD) I dunno anymore… I just want to know why Celestia/ the archons decided to curse + nuke their kingdom…

  17. //comment with major spoilers in lore

the "gods" doesn't only involve the archons. it's still pretty unclear but it's most likely referring to Celestia itself. the timeline of the game is pretty much all over the place right now but with (1)Khaenri'ah's destruction, (2)the darkness that engulfed Inazuma and (3)the cataclysm that happened in Mondstadt when Durin attacked was defeated by Dvalin and Barbatos by letting him rot in Dragonspine, these all took place 500 years ago.

plus, ancient civilizations like Sal Vindagnyr, Byakuyakoku (or Enkamoniya) and the city under the Chasm dates back even BEFORE Khaenri'ah was destroyed. i'm willing to give the archons the benefit of the doubt.

the archons are also pretty.. reluctant in saying anything related to Celestia. Zhongli seems to be knowledgeable of what happened in the cataclysm yet with his nature of sticking to contracts, Celestia took advantage of it and made a contract with him to not say anything about what happened. even in the webtoon, Venti is shown to not be fond of the discussion that is Celestia, to the point of avoiding the topic altogether. The Tsarista (Cryo Archon) also seems to have a plan on her own, gathering the Seven's Gnoses, which is said to be the power that Celestia has granted them from becoming Archons, hence why Yae Miko worded it as: "Ei's way of severing ties with Celestia". all in all, the archons are pretty much as helpless as the mortals when it comes to Celestia.

with that said, we have to blame Celestia for everything cause they honestly suck😁👍

  18. is archon the one who did that, it's yes and no, from what we knew from know celestia is the one who destroy kaenriah, we also know if someone against celestia it will end up badly from them.
Archon hiding some information because it'll become dangerous either for them or their people if they share "the secrets" for us or mortal.

  19. With the conversation of the whole quest in the chasm, I feel like this area should have been releas d first before enkanomiya, obviously the upside city and enkanomiya have similar architectural design making it plausible that they are remnants of the same ancient civilization.

  21. 30:28 at this part I don't think that Lumine is also cursed because we all know that Lumine has not loss her powers unlike his twin Aether so it could be that Lumine surpass the power of the cursed like Dain or my 2nd thinking is that we all know that these all what is happening was the doing of the Unknown God so maybe the Unknown God just wants to let Lumine see what really happened in Khaenri'ah so that Lumine would side with the Unknown God and Khaenri'ah. Well that's just all my guess.

I really liked it, very sad but sooo good!! can't wait to see more of ur videos
