  1. "This character that has been OP in every possible scenario since his release over a year ago is slightly less viable now that the devs have added a tiny bit of content that doesn't blatantly cater to him and shield meta. Oh noooooooooooooooooooo."

    I 100% support the move away from shield meta. Healers as a class have been ignored and neglected for too long. I'll be open minded toward anything that shakes things up a breaks up the established order thus far. I want new, interesting mechanics and playstyles. I do not want to use the same 4/8 characters for everything. As much as I love them, I am tired of using Bennett and Xingqiu for every fight. MHY not innovating fast enough is why so many people are burnt out.

  2. a possible fix for this would be reworking whole shielding system, instead of shields having hp, they should negate a set percentage of dmg dealt (like 50% or smth) and keep the super armor on them, this way healers could also be viable

  3. 8:25 I feel like you brushed over his C6 and didn't give it enough credit. Turning the best sheilder in the game into a healer is insane. And it helps combat all of his nerfs with corrosion and true damage that ignores sheilds.

  4. well, mhy is always outdating characters to make new characters more attractive, most of the time is the old dps, the chinese community already suspected that one day bennett will be outdated too. so on this note, no rerun characters are good enough to be recommended. Just get whoever works best for your team and whoever you simp for.

    Shadow Husks regenerate HP of its allies upon hit. New Raiden boss can one-shot while ignoring shield. These are in 2.5 beta. Shadow husk loses HP though when it hits shields so it's like a double-edge sword

  6. I don't feel comfortable with the idea of full defensive role without healing ability.

    With a shield bot C0 Zhongli if we run him with a healer (not Bennett) we are sacrificing 2 defensive slot in the team and loses way too much dps.

    If we uses Zhongli to be the only defensive role with 3 other dps in the team then we have no healings. If we accidentally messed up the timing of putting Zhongli sheild on, we won't be able to get our health back in abyss (also corrosions and true dmg).

  7. I don't think nerfed is the right word, his shield and power/number is still the same the only thing different is that he isn't a must use in every situations
    This is like saying ganyu is nerfed because an abyss floor is filled wih cryo slimes

  8. Nerfing shields by making enemies heal, gain shield, etc. is more detrimental to other units too. Remember that Noelle's 100% chance to heal is only when her shield is up. Beidou's parry is considered a shield. Same as yun jin. This will put another nail to the already buried crystallized reaction. The whole geo comp as a whole. It will make Gorou's crystallized shield-gathering constellation useless. Bringing Diona is a lesser viable option because without the shield, she's just a mediocre healer. Hu Tao will die more often because she cant rely on Zhongli and/or Thoma anymore. Ganyu melt. Xiao. Bolide set will be useless. Is mihoyo sure about this?

  9. I dont like this wolf enemy. Very badly designed. Example is when it took distance to lunge. There is something invisible front of it that prevents you from going near it.

  10. I can't wait to add my #1 Husbando to my team. Zhongli would slot very nicely with my Itto, Albedo, and C6 Noelle. Basically making that team an unstoppable rock slide. He would make my Gorou kind of obsolete, but… such is life. Let's be real, Gorou's DEF boost is fixed. And Zhongli's shield will do much the same "stagger negation" as Gorou's Burst. Tenacity of the Milelith will add more ATK. Add to that, yea, I have Albedo. Pillar + Flower = Resonation. Itto will just be an unstoppable hyper carry juggernaut backed by all that, and if I drop the ball? My C6 Noelle will just clean up the mess and right everything spick and span.

    And I do think that Gorou should not be used with Zhongli when buffing the DEF scaler Geo chars, their abilities overlap in 2/3 metrics, sure Gorou gives Geo DMG boost. But his DEF boost is actually capped at a flat 371 points at tier 10. That'll translate to about HALF on Noelle and Itto's conversion metrics. Zhongli will gives a geo resistance shred on top of a direct 20% ATK boost through the Tenacity set. We have to consider how much that 20% will actually translate into against the 371 DEF that gets HALVED when translated into ATK on Noelle and Itto. Yes, Gorou does have that +15% Geo DMG boost… but vs. a res shred? It all requires some testing and number crunching to confirm, but my gut feeling says that Gorou might be coming up short. I would prefer to run Itto, Albedo, Zhongli, and Noelle. Because that is literally EVERYTHING covered. Both shield AND heal. Good luck to the enemy even SCRATCHING my team.
