💬 In this Genshin Impact video (also a guide), I explain why I’m not farming all the weekly bosses every week anymore.
Weekly bosses drop talent level-up materials, artifacts, billets (prototypes), and a new item called Dream Solvent.
This video can help F2P Players, Low Spenders, or even Whales to save some resin.

❓ Frequently Asked Question:
Q: Why is your name F2P Diluc if you’re not F2P?
A: My name is F2P Diluc because I’ve already beaten all the content in the game when I was F2P. Now I buy the Battle Pass and Welkin Moon because the resources help a lot to build more characters and make more videos.

Thing is, you need dream solvents to even do the conversions to begin with so either way, you gotta do the weeklies cause they're the only means of obtaining them. Especially if im sitting on 20 tusks but need shards of foul legacy for another character. Kinda just dependant / relative per account / player needs really. Still a really good video though cause F2P Diluc isnt saying it in an objective way. He's saying it as a "per account" basis.
They need to increase the rewards a bit an drop rate for craft weapons in the forge.
I Need Glad's artifacts with better stats lol
Of course it is worthy, the solvent alone is a big reason.
And if we count the gems and artifact is more than we get in other bosses
I only got one dream solvent while last week I got two 😔
Me with 1 5 star gladiator: i pretend i didnt see that
Well i would say 4 are to much so maybe stop dvalin since you only realy need the thing for diluc bennet and Jean 🤣
I can't help but feel this is a "famous last words" kind of thing. I've played many games where early on in the game I thought I've farmed enough of a material. Then in a few months or years, an update or revamp of the game releases and suddenly I need massive amounts of said material. I've learned my lesson since not to skip out on these time-gated resources. 150 resin a week isn't so bad either, they would've otherwise been Def and HP artifacts anyway lol
Personally though, I just do it because I'm a hoarder and a collector. Gotta get those prototypes to fill in the archive!
Since now the cost for weekly bosses already cheap enough for 1st 3 bosses so I don't see any reason why do I need to stop or skipped doing weekly bosses, it's not like we can farm more than once for weekly bosses so for the total cost of 150 resin for all the weekly bosses I even can finished in one day only. I may not need for talent material for now but it's doesn't mean that I won't needed that also for future character that I might getting.
I do the weekly bosses for bp and to see how good and strong I am 🤭
Doing them because 140 companionship EXP for 30 resins is POG
It's good to think differently but I still think 30 resins for each boss is okay. If they didn't reduce the resins cost, I would think twice.
I played genshin since late October till now I don’t have enough materials for my favorite characters specially if they share same boss materials. So farming till now is good specially wishing to have to solvent a great help. And doing it weekly is fun.
Prototypes plus I want the mats for future things. And it takes a whopping 30 mins to do them all so no biggie.
I was thinking about it just today.
Got two prototypes today and goddamn it was an amazing feel and now im a gambling adfict basically
I just like listening to their Ost, I like fighting them it's fun, and the rewards …yeah..
Anyway, those bosses makes me to like Mondays
Nah, it's absolutely worth it for me since I rarely go to weekly bosses before 1.5… and after 1.5 I only run 3 times a week just to use the half-resin function… moreover I really need northlander claymore billet…
I think it's still a good idea to do weekly bosses as you never know what sort of materials you'll need in the future.
For example, Im done with my main team, and I wanted to experiment with other niche characters like Beidou, and surprisingly I had all the purple ascension crystals without needing to convert or specifically farm for them from electro hypostasis, the only thing missing from LG prisms. So yeah, doesn't hurt to continue doing it ;D
well tbf I can't farm artifact domans anymore either
I have 16 level 20 gold artifacts on each slot and mostly optimized as well, and so many +4 fodder
and I'm only bp welkin, I can't imagine people who refreshes resin daily
I need to get those prototype thingy cause i got both diluc and eula within 10 pulls… and I'm f2p…
As someone who always change to new dps character stop farming weekly boss is a no2 KEKW
I definitely do not have enough. I want to max every character I have.
Which is why I'm still at world level 3 ascending characters until they can get to 70
I still loved doing that because I wanna get that 140 companion exp yeaaa
diluc player yikes
I arrived at the same conclusion as you without seeing the video, if the weekly boss costs 30, fine, think it is ok to do it, but 4 bosses costing 60 resin each? have to wait more than 24 hours to get 240 resin, so not intersting
Just don't do more than 3 Boss a week. Skip boss that you need less
I just farm Childe and Azdaha since I still need them. I've given up on the other two for now, especially since I haven't gotten a single prototype in months…
Well if you need gladiator, wanderers artifacts or weapons from the blacksmith like me (and every other f2p ganyu main) you need them
I still need billets.
I still need Artifacts.
I still talent materials.
Most importantly, it's relationship points
I only kill Azhdaha for his sick battle theme
I just do 3x and that’s it
The thing is I doesn't have dream solvent for a couple weeks. The last i got dream solvent was the first week of 1.5 ver
Well my already built C6 Noelle is still waiting for a frickin claymore prototype bc I don't have whiteblind, and I already built her like 3 months ago. So I have to keep killing them until I get the g0dd4mn prototype.
She has being using a 3☆ weapon and still doing huge damage, but I really need that prototype.
I hate Monday, I despise it. But after genshin, am a little excited for Monday to come so I can defeat the bosses, and train my dodging skill. It's fun, haha
You should farm at least 3 weekly bosses. Why? because it cost 30 resin for a worth of 60 resin at AR55 you'll get and artifact and the rest are pure RNG.
That does makes sense Diluc, after looking at mine i also think I don't really need to farm endlessly
Damn, i got scammed by weeklies this time. 1×5* artifact and 2× talent mats without dream solvent or prototypes from EACH of four bosses(ar56). I feel like i wasted resin for nothing.
Edit: Maybe skipping one of them is a good idea cuz 60 resin for small chance of good drop hurts.
this is good advice for f2p players but as a BP user.need that boss to increase BP level
but the battlepass…
and a claymore prototype 🤤
because i r2'd my whiteblind
instead of making a prototype archaic even though skyward pride is better than prototype archaic
i just want to feel to use prototype archaic on my diluc
wow the dream solvent is really used
i only used it once i have 11 of it rn
But for 30 resin surely its worth it and dream solvents came out recently so I dont think u can convert a lot so u might want to farm for the dream solvents and u might get lucky and get a billet anyway
Solvents come from the bosses, billets are rare but still needed, you get chars that need those mats down the road (or maybe MHY will release a character that uses old mats, how could we know?), also cheaper than world bosses for Glad pieces
also, can we consider "farming" something you do once a week?
Farming for the dream solvent
