  1. Someone might've already said this but Alhaitham is a name of a real person from arabic origin centuries ago he's regarded as the father of mathematics and optics he designed and made the first ever device that can capture light onto a piece of paper that was later dubbed the camera. Needless to say I'm incredibly iterested how they match between the real Alhaitham and Su while also making him his own character.

  2. regarding what someone said in the comments about rukkhadevata i would also like to add that rukkha in some languages (mine for example) also translates literally to dry/rough and devata translates to god/goddess
also the word "amurta" means "not material/real/tangible/alive"

just some cool facts so the next time you see the word "devata" you'll know what it means <3

  3. Al Haitham
Ḥasan Ibn al-Haytham, Latinized as Alhazen (/ælˈhæzən/;  full name Abū ʿAlī al-Ḥasan ibn al-Ḥasan ibn al-Haytham أبو علي، الحسن بن الحسن بن الهيثم; c. 965 – c. 1040), was an Arab mathematician, astronomer, and physicist of the Islamic Golden Age.  Referred to as "the father of modern optics", he made significant contributions to the principles of optics and visual perception in particular. His most influential work is titled Kitāb al-Manāẓir (Arabic: كتاب المناظر, "Book of Optics"), written during 1011–1021, which survived in a Latin edition. A polymath, he also wrote on philosophy, theology and medicine.

  5. I'm really really excited about the Sumeru patch (coming soon ) and we have like a variety of species now like what?! And ofc the characters too!! Bruh my wallet is going to suffer because of this and is it worth it? Yes, especially for Su, Teri Teri, and just basically majority of the characters. What I do hope is that Lisa and Amber will be there but it might not happen.

  6. Ok im glad I'm not insane about the way the tech looked in the ruins. Doesn't look Khaenri'an to me either which is super interesting!
Some of the overgrown tech in the forest does look Khaenri'an though so I'm curious if there's any history of interactions between them and whoever made the desert ruin stuff. Of course it could just be drippy cool Khaenri'an tech we haven't seen too I suppose
