Burgeon, like Hyperbloom, only scales on two “attributes”.
The first and most important thing is the character level. The higher your character level is, the higher the damage that Hyperbloom, Burgeon and Bloom triggers.
The second is Elemental Mastery. Since Dendro Cores (transformative reactions) cannot crit, stats like Crit etc. are completely irrelevant. It is also very important to mention that the character who triggers the reaction (in your case Thoma) gets these two attributes.
In this scenario, your Alhaitham and your Xingqiu are only the "enablers" to apply Dendro and Hydro to the opponent to create Dendro Cores, so Thoma can blow them up which results in burgeon.
For example based on the calculations:
A Level 60 Thoma would do 1479 Base DMG per Burgeon. If you throw some EM on him as well, he would easily reach 2.5K per Burgeon trigger.
Also remember to build enough Energy Recharge on Thoma (C4 helps, of course) as you won't be able to reliably trigger Burgeon without his Elemental Burst.
A Favonius Lance is therefore a good choice of weapon if you have one to spare.
