  1. the most annoying part for me was the theatre ravens i swear it took like 2h just because of the long ass unskippable dialogues. i need the skip story button my adhd brain cant take this anymore (i do enjoy the story part of the game but sometimes it gets too long and tedious for me)

  2. I hated these puzzles. Kazuhas domain was so confusing, and I got lost multiple times, I hated it so much I left the domain and had to come back to it. Fischls domain was janky, and the gaze thingy was so annoying, I just wanted to rip my hair out. The exploration was good, I guess, but I didn’t enjoy the event much, I expected more.

  3. I think Mona puzzle is so Fontaine theme like "truth under the show". They already show us a lot of Fontaine vibe and problems in events.

  4. I know fischl's puzzles were a little off but I preferred those and mona's over kazuha and xinyan since their puzzles required so much set up and running around

  5. The puzzle were fine once you understand the mirror logic behind them but I feel like Genshin changes the rules of some puzzle elements and it FUCKS with my brain. For example, why do some torches (not the wooden ones) just don't work? Well it's because you have to light them up in the past of course! So why have them look exactly the same in the present but not work? This is bad design. Same thing with elemental pillars that you have to activate in order. Why do they sometimes stay light until you are wrong and sometimes just don't stay light… There is no consistency

  6. I saw this pop up a few days ago and decided not to watch it as I hadn't done Mona's Mirage yet. Thankfully I didn't. Mona's Mirage is tough but I quite like the theme, it's supposed to be tougher since Mona is shown to be more… learnt. The water-reflection challenges are a good reminder of the illusionary nature, and I particularly like the mislabeled totem one.

Of the Mirages, I like Kazuha's best, since it's straightforward and combat related. Mona's just a tad long, but challenging. Fishcl is just long on the wind and a bit confusion, but suited to her imaginary nature. Xinyan's is unfortunately the most confusing because of the way they interconnected the subdomains, expecting you to do backtracking to get around the brambles blocking the chest and mechanism.

Overall a solid event, I could do with less of Xinyan-type domain shuffling and much less of Fishcl's long winded prose, but it was interesting. I hope Mona's puzzles aren't a foreshadowing of Sumeru puzzles…

  7. The "heart" one was bullshit, but it amuses me that there are professional Youtube personages who play Genshin for a living that are this bad at Genshin

  8. I'm still stuck doing Fischl's coz the puzzles are just ridiculous, it doesn't make sense.
Although I enjoy the character's stories but the puzzles are just pure pain.
Xinyan's was by far the easiest and chillest, Kazuha's domain was dizzying but is alright. I haven't gotten to Mona's yet hopefully I get to finish this quest soon so I can enjoy the archipelago.

  9. What kinda bothered is that I found Kazuha’s and Xinyan’s islands to be doable. They had a lot of puzzles (at least Kazuha’s) but most were things we already knew so it didn’t feel as if I was investing a lot of time.

Fischl’s suffers from how her character is built. Great concept but the raven’s talked off so long that it was exhausting. I didn’t want to even do any puzzles because I just didn’t care and what the dumb birds had to drone on about.

Mona’s was pretty but boring. I found having to run around and just do the puzzles to be tedious and while well designed wasn’t enough to save it. Also I just didn’t care about the meaning of her illusion, paired with just running around got annoying.

Sucks that I was really excited for the islands to come back, but this event just seemed to be lacking something despite being able to offer so much.

  10. I liked the Kazuha dungeon, I thought once you grasp the idea it's not terrible. Xinyan's was kind of annoying but not really hard. Fischl's just took way too long. But Mona's just was so unintuitive and frustrating. It was faster to guess on most of the puzzles instead of trying to figure it out

  11. Monas puzzles almost made me quit genshin they where so annoying and horribly placed at times and for those on mobile like my daughters I pray for you. The puzzles outside with the stars ended up being pretty cool but omg the ones in the domain just why

  12. For me and the people I ve talk to this was probably the most fun and cool event yet.. the domains of each character where super funny.. speacilly xingyan and fischl one(althoug fischl one is ver picky sometimes)… I still didnt finish the last part of mona's tho but pretty easy and cool until now…
I would say the islands where a little annoying sometimes.. but is a 40 day event, it's supose to be done slowly not rush it.. take time to explore… this event is to SIT AND THINK.. if you dont like hard puzless dont play it, yo would get primogems in the next event

i would never understand genshin fanbase, people is like ''there's no content'' and the second later ''to much everything''.. ''it's not difficult enought'' to ''its to complicated make it easy''.. like pick a side jajaja also you dont have to do everything, lets start calling obsession out is not healthy

  13. These puzzles would be great in open world if not time gated. I actually like the challenge but the thought it will go away and I won't be able to solve them beats the satisfaction for me

  14. okay i loved monas domain the way the game tells you nothing makes it exciting for me i dont know why people are so frustrated. you sound like you dont rly enjoy the game anymore from the way youre talking about it xd

  15. jesus christ. im kinda stalling the event cause i have no energy for genshin lately and only just reached access to kazuhas domain. this video is making me so exhausted that im almost crying at the thought of having to do all that. i think ill just pass on the primos lol

  16. If you enjoyed any of the puuzle domains, you're what's wrong with Genshin. The puzzles were repetitive, the dialogue was drawn out even when skipped, and most important the few scattered mobs taunted players who were dying for some level of combat. MHY is mocking grinders who invested countless domain hours for events like this.

  17. There are definitely some design flaws and poor programming that make certain puzzles extremely annoying and unrewarding. But I have to say that the ones that didn't suffer from these issues were fantastic. I don't think too many were all that hard, they just require a lot more time and patience than the usual ones. Though if you are patient and work on them slowly, solving them without guides is extremely rewarding.

I think the point of this event was to offer the usual, routine primogems via quests, the sailing event, and the character domain fights, while offering chests as a reward for optional content. If you don't care for puzzles and just want primos, you can get the vast majority of them extremely quickly. But the additional puzzles are just there to provide content to players who do want to keep playing and enjoying the islands. They account for way fewer primos but do provide much-needed content for endgame players.

  18. This totally was my experience and what I was thinking as I was suffering through these puzzles. I sent feedback to Hoyoverse, linking this video!

  19. I will be honest; the reason it felt so long was because it was meant to be played over a month, not a few days lol. People complain about no endgame content but when they get more they say it’s too long. Not saying moga’s wrong for that, he just didn’t really think of the fact this event isn’t gonna be fun if you play it al at once. Or maybe he actually would’ve just not enjoyed it much regardless

  20. I like puzzles and I like genshin, but mostly if I want to challenge my brain I play separate games designed for that, "the witness" or "call of the sea" u know. Genshin is a relax game for me, yes there were some challenging stuff but not THAT challenging
The event story is great but I just gave up on searching for every chest, especially in the domains. Hoyoverse pls tell level designer he can relax a bit

  21. People always complain that there is not alot of content in the game, and it gets boring everytime, and when there are, they always complain that theres too much, the duality of people, but honestly, I actually found this event fun, the puzzles in genshin actually bores me cuz its too easy, but this puzzle make you work your brain a little, I really do hope they do more of this stuff, but with better rewards
