Snapshotting And Elemental Mastery Changes Explained | Genshin Impact

In this video, I discuss what is snapshotting in Genshin Impact, how it works, what stats are affected, and what changed with the Patch 1.4 update. I will demonstrate this affect with several characters including Fischl, Ganyu, Mona, and Sucrose. I will also go over the common sources of damage buffs, including Thrilling Tales, Sucrose’s Passive Talents, etc.

  1. for me it feels like its overcomplicating the damage calculation .. i thing they should just stick to snapshotting and not remove some here and there until no one know exactly what is what anymore

  2. Great video I enjoyed every minute of it. I have a request… Would you mind doing a video on the traveler? She or he is a five-star unit and has an Anemo and Geo ability that makes her worthy of upgrading. I love using my traveler cus she is powerful ASF but nobody ever does a video on this unit. I feel (s)he deserves a video.

  3. It's very hard to follow because your talk is unstructured. You can 1) When each section begins, states your goal of that section first, so that the audiences know what are you talking about 2) Don't let the audiences read and listen different sentences at the same time (e.g. 3:00)

  4. It is important to note that melt and vaporize were not affected by the changes – only transformative reactions (basically everything that isn't melt and vape). This is most relevant in the context of xiangling, as she is often used to vaporise on wet targets (from xingqiu or childe) and would have been negatively impacted by these changes had vaporise been affected (since she is often paired with sucrose).

  5. Correct me if i'm wrong. I was planning to use this sequence.

    1. Bennett uses Q
    2. Sucrose with the 3 star atk% book and 720 EM from artifacts swirls fire.
    3. Xiangling uses E and Q inside bennett's ULT. That's 194 extra EM from Sucrose.
    4. Childe debuffs everything with water to enable pyronado to vaporize.

Now with that change i'm thinking it might be better once i switch to Childe to wait for the pyronado to debuff some enemies so he can use the extra 144 EM from sucrose to melt and then start applying water so the pyronade can vaporize at this point without sucrose buff.
I'd be losing the 50 extra EM from her first passive since Xiangling wouldn't proc any reaction initially but the damage from Childe burst might compensate for that.

I'm just thinking in a 8 sec windown to a 14 sec pyronado and also considering casting guoba and applying water i won't have much time to vaporize with xiangling anyways…

  6. So it only affects EM not Atk right? So if I use Xiao and use buffs on him before his burst it doesn't affect his overall damage meanwhile if I use Ganyu and use buff before her burst it will affect her damage?

  7. If you guys didn't understand anything, basically when you guys get a buff from ex: Bennett's burst , as you know the buff stays for a certain time, but for example if you use fischl's Oz, the Bennett buff stays till the Oz runs off no matter for how much
