I felt the same way navigating from the desert border to Fontaine. Although I used Dookdook's afopted son to hover and glide. I realized too late that there was a waverider down below. Lolol

Yeah furina is kinda annoying, just wanna say to future you, don't worry we all hate her in early fontaine quest, thats just mean the developer nailed it in making furina's character

Hmm it seems Charlotte's meeting with the traveler is different and does not recognize you from the beginning. Charlotte made a appearance in a limited event before Fontaine and her lines was completely different compared to this. If you met Charlotte in that event the outcome would be different when you meet her now
When I first ventured to Fontaine, I had Collei in my party, so her passive ability actually allows you to fly from the waypoint to Fontaine with enough stamina
Oh, and by the way, in the center of Court de Fontaine there is an elevator that can take you up to the Statue of the Seven and the Aquabus lines
hello hello, new viewer here, like the vibes so you got a new sub in me. a good bit of story building for Fontaine would be the video called "Overture Teaser: The Final Feast". It serves a similar purpose to the "Winter Nights Lazzo" the Fatui one. it does show come key people to the Fontaine quests
Furina and Fishcl is different.. perhaps English speaking people don’t know the term for Chuunibyuu which is Fischl personality.. chuunibyu in japamese term is for a person a pre teen personality with a lot of imagination which like they think they have a special power with a darkness.. you can search more about chuunibyu, there is an romance anime about that
I'm fully immersed in your genuine excitement <3 I wish you a spoiler-free (and nudge/tease/hinting-free) journey! Everything's much better when you discover it on your own as intended by the devs.
I hope this isn't a spoiler (i dont think it can be bc it was an event) but quite interesting to see the start of fontaine from someone's angle that didn't do the 3.7 TCG event. We already met charlotte there so the introduction was a bit different since we already knew her >.< So excited to see you go through fontaine. I loved the archon quest so to be able to rewatch it with your excitement is wonderful. Especially since we're approaching the next region in a few months!

11:28 Yeah, that's a huge world quest sitting there that you can visit later. Sumeru has a number of huge world quests, most of them being in the desert, and it burned out a good number of players. It also didn't help that we didn't have subterranean maps back then. Definitely put those on the back burner.
As for crossing over to Fontaine, there's no "right" way. Some will glide over while others find a boat to cross over. And yet others will ice bridge over just because they can. Be adventurous and if it turns out to be a dead end, remember that you can always teleport back to a waypoint and start over.
Ah, Furina. So dramatic as always. I still still love her though, no matter what.
I mean, I also love Fischl too 😂
