According to Noelle's story that i read on the genshin wiki she saved an adventurer on Dragonspine. Maybe it was Joel's father?? I haven't seen other people talking about this theory though, so maybe I made a wrong connection or something
I HAVE SINNED! I've been working on this achievement for a little while now and this reminded me to have a look at it. The chest was there but no bowl to feed them again. I was running round, pressing buttons looking for it. One of those buttons happened to be Xiao's E and I blitzed through the lot. I've never in my life felt bad about killing anything in any game but holy shit this hurt.

I watched someone kill them in multiplayer…
Another cool thing is the hole where the foxes live will give you purple artifacts once it is completed

I feed them but they'd never give me chest…. so I killed them for their meat
