Adepti are basically super natural beings per se, they have incredible powers, Illuminated beasts, is what they are, meaning their original form or main form are some sort of beast/animal but take on a human form. Xiao is an adepti because he is a pheonix, he has incredible power, no where near being human. After xiao was saved from an evil god by Zhongli, the evil god used him as a bloodhound, killing innocents and forcing him to eat dreams, after zhongli saved him his new job was to help zhongli kill demons that are summoned by the neverending rage that slain gods have(because gods are never really dead, there are always remnants) xiao was out of many that help slay the demons, him and 4 other adeptis all 5 are known as YAKSHAS, fighting demons over a long period of time caused what is called “karmic debt” to build up within them all, slowly driving them mad, ultimately 4 of them have all died, leaving xiao the last Yaksha alive. He still keeps his promise as he continues to kill demons near Liyue(home region) The mask he wears is that he uses to kill, it gives him immense power that both gods and demons fear, however it takes a toll on him because again, karmic debt is slowly eating at him. Xiao is “edgy” because he is at war with himself, constantly fighting back his debt which is resembled with him being tied up. Xiao lore

    Well, unfortunately, most of the GOOD part of his story lines are in limited time events. If had to say, he is one of the most well written characters in Mondstadt. Whenever he is involved, there is bound to be some insane lore around him, a shame we didn't get a 2nd return of this event in Dragonspine (the snowy area). One of my favorite characters

  11. I've put so many hours into genshin already and I've only met a handful of these characters is amazing how many they have. And they introduce new characters often too. All the characters I've met while playing have their own stories/backstories, some are longer than others but I think they do a great job of fleshing out all these characters

  15. U were asking about sara and shogun, raiden shogun is the god of electro and she rules inazuma city. Sara is the head of the army of inazuma and she does whatever shogun orders her. That's why they seem related someway

  17. yunjin's character is overall very culturally significant since the game is chinese and she is a chinese opera singer, all her singing was done by a professional chinese singer and her outfit and moves have traditional aspects so in her trailer they decided to focus more on her story more than gameplay (she is an amazing support in the game tho)

  20. I don't know if anyone mentioned it but itto's va is actually ryuji from persona 5 like you guessed.

    Also zongli (the one with the deep voice) is voiced by shido the main antagonist of persona 5

    So yeah I am just waiting for more persona 5 vas to appear

  25. Tbh, if you want to play but don't want to be addicted in gacha, you can go as f2p and only pulls for character you like/when you have enough primogems for guaranteed rate ups. The game have so much to offer without having you pay anything for that.

Yeah, there's something about Fischl's and Venti's demo trailers (I think something about the chronology of casting voice actors and release dates) that means depending on where you are and when you look at the playlist, you may not see one of both of them on it, and if you do it'll probably be with a non-English voice (subtitles are fine, though). It's just a weird thing that most streamers doing this run into and fail to realize they're running into.
