so basically he accepted his defeat, but while working with nahida had access to the memory of this world for a moment. He learned about his second "betrayal" being staged by the doctor. thus his friend never back stabbed him, he was set up and killed. So he decided to try to erase himself but he still somewhat existed, within a modified time line or memory of it at least. then you found him, and fused both his past and present memories together. basically same twisted persona but not a bad guy.
49:43 I thing Dehya impression is more akin to the Atlas lion or Barbary lion. They live in the mountanious area of Atlas mountain range and African desert. And some said, the biggest lion subspecies.
about the "would u want to have immortality"
i think the biggest threat and issue of that isnt losing people around ur in time.. we all already to some extent expeirence it… the real issue lays with how it desentizes to LIFE itself…
we value our time and lives of others BECAUSE its short.. a blink..
its a core motivating factor and driving force of life…
the URGENCY..
immortality completely removes that sense of urgency as ur immortatal and u can just take forever to do something.. even detrament to ur own growth..
example.. some people struggle to find purpose yet when they finnally do.. they commit to and work their ass off to find happiness and achieve their goals and dreams then die fullfield..
if ur immortal.. u'd have zero urgency and reason to commit.. in fact.. u can get bort and just flip flop between all kinds of trades and goals and be a jacke of literlaly everything.. ant it probably be out of boredom.. just another arbitary notch under ur immortal belt..
butt worse part outside of urself.. i could lead to seeds of dehumanzation of life in general.. aka "oh well its just ONE MORE life dying"

what i noticed in all games media movies etc that use immortality goals.. especially souls games … pursuit of immortality leads to horrible cruel world where all that matters is U NOT DYING.. and doing whatever it takes to make u sure u remain immortal
in short LIVING becomes meanings… SURVIVAL and URGENCY are crutical to living..
i hear stuff about people who never take risks or do anything and just stay isolated and removed from others.. fear of being harmed hurt etc etc… they seem to not be too happy or living their lives…
DEATH is required to give really meaning and purpose to living…

human brain has MAX CAPCITY of neurons and memories it can hold..
we already forget MOST things by the time we reach old age.. only important impactful memories remain.. details are "deleted" to make room for new stuff..

also u can be immortal and still catch deisease even say uncurable ones.. immortal =/= immune so if u have bad bones or biological issues well they stuck with u for ETERNITY unless say tech in the future evolves to fix them along the way…

As a fan of both Genshin and 40k, I cannot help but draw a parallel between Xiao and an Astartes, specifically a Blood Angel. Same sense of duty, same struggle to control a flaw that is not entirely their fault.

So glad Dehya is a Standard 5 Star. She's the most stylish of the bunch since Keqing and her character is straight gigachad energy. Also anyone saying she's bad has probably also whaled to make fucking Qiqi or Barbara have max ascension five star weapons and perfect crit damage and rate artififacts so they belong in the trash with their respective coal miners.

No matter how bad Dehya is as a character, her trailer really helped a lot. Project Hope got a bunch of donations because of it.
Dehya looks like she punches harder than a Ford F150 going terminal velocity yet her actual damage numbers in-game are the worst in the entire game. I don't know what they were thinking with her kit, she doesn't do damage mitigation well enough and she can't do enough burst damage while also not synergizing with characters that would be good with her.
Her C6 (which is the highest upgrade you can get and can cost so much money depending on your luck) brings her up to a regular C0 5* character which is just so sad. She was the most awaited character and with one of the best designs but she's the worst character in the game right now. I got her for free only because I had stored up a guarantee and used it on her out of spite towards Hoyoverse, I then geared her up and witnessed how wimpy her abilities are.

YaoYao is not that dangerous…….on the other hand, the Adepti Weapon of mass destruction Cloud Retainer made to keep her safe, shaped like a plush toy, is.
As someone who's done betas for Asian MMORPGs from the year 2000 (Ragnarok online was my first title over there), I can say with confidence that I no longer miss that part of my life. After coming to a point of depression and doubts, I finally retired and moved over to Genshin early this year. It was worth it. To play a game I am not forced to whale (and I whaled HUGE) over is nice. To not feel things are a dead end everyday, and to just take it at my pace, explore by myself or with just a couple friends, in a world that's bigger than any MMORPG I've ran is like a breath of fresh air.
I'll stay in Genshin for a long-ass while. And also hope that I get to beta Honkai Star Rail soon.
