Her leitmotif in this theme is similar to the Japanese folksong "Sakura Sakura".
It sounds like the menacing version of it.

There's alot going on in this theme and when you get deeper into knowing this character it makes sense and yeh, prepare your tissues. It's sad, happy and desperate at the same time
As always spot on I really enjoy content you make :). Besides demos(this is where this songs come from) mihoyo also releases short character teasers which tell little more about tham without showcaseing their in game skills, and if her demo is rivaled with Zhongli's, her teasere is absolutely unmuched so far, unlike others it doesn't have any dialogue and conveys so much emotions with just music and 2d visuals, song's name is "awak from a nightmare" check it you won't regret.
As for Raiden herself people love her or really hate her, reason is different expectations or lack of knowledge of lore because in genshin simply doing main and side quests will never show full picture you should go out of your way to read weapon/artefact/item lore or in game books to fully understand what's going on and majority of players don't do that. Imo she is one of the most complicated characters so far. SPOILERS (though a lot of comment already did spoil a lot xD) despite being one of the strongest gods she couldn't save or protect her nation, friends and twin sister from greate disaster which had a huge impact on her and made her the way she is carently and the saddest part is now there's quite literally only one person left who knows her personality and what kind of person she is(I like their soulmate dynamics) for enyone else she simply never existed. Funny thing is her actually name Raiden Ei is spoiler by itself (Ei means shadow which is basically what she was to her sister most people never knew that where twine gods. Ei was the fighter beatwean the two,she acted as her sister’s sword and bodyduble she won war between gods in their nation in her sister's name and protected peace in Inazuma during upcoming years, while Makoto was more pacifistic and a smart ruller).

Your post discussion is quite interesting, since it's wrong and right at the same time. Raiden Ei (Raiden Shogun is her stand-in puppet) does want to pursue something. It is "eternity", which she consider to be "closest to the Heavenly Principles". She also wants to protect her nation's "eternity", the state of being completely frozen in the timeline, from her own people, who wants to break the freeze in order to move forward and pursue their dreams. Furthermore, the reason she "joined" with us the main character was not because our ideal aligns with her, it's actually because ours clashed with her. We opposed her ideal of eternity, had a fight with her, and managed to knock some sense into her mind. That's how she joined in the end.
It's fascinating to hear such an interpretation from someone who doesn't know a lot of Genshin Impact's lores, and yet was able to capture its theme so well.
Once again astounded by how you manage to not only nail the character and their personality, but also predict very specific things about plot points/gameplay. (Not telling which ones tho, because spoilers.) So yeah, this is the soundtrack from Raiden's Character Trailer. Some time ago, only 5* characters got their very own very special trailers and trailer themes, while 4* trailers had more or less the same format and a soundtrack that was some variation of the same melody. Now all characters get more personalised trailers, while 5* also get character teasers – little vids that tell a bit of their story instead of showing gameplay. The point I'm leading to with all this: you should listen to the soundtrack from Raiden's teaser. It's called "Awake From a Nightmare", and it's also telling a lot about Raiden's character even without the accompanying visuals.
