This is a doozy and it’s just the beginning. Fontaine is absolutely TEEMING with art, culture, and historical references.

I knew Fontaine music would not disappoint. Thank you for reviewing this. I was so hyped when I first heard this. It's so mysterious and magical, I just love it ❤️
You know, sometimes i'd like to watch your first reaction to some stuff. But its good to see acknowledged reaction too
🙂 Wow. Information 🎉 There are so many words in Genshin I don't know. Thank you.
Marco what headphones you using
Fontaine music is very theatrical, dramatic and tragic. Perfectly expressing the Fontaine justice system and how the court works! This also takes me to my childhood, I grew up with classical music and baroque, my dad playing in the opera orchestra. I think Fontaine will become my favorite region of Genshin
Is this some form of triple harbinger raid on Fontaine or something?
This video is very good by knowing fountain but we didn't got like this info for sumeru
hearing different regions’ take on the battle theme leitmotif is always mesmerizing.
The first song though has a "piratey" feel at times for me, like from movies like Pirates of the Caribbean, can someone explain why?
"The region melody" part plays an important role in painting mood for the nation it's been used in.
Mond have quite a "carefree" quality in it. Liyue feels very hospitable and comforting. Inazuma – melancholic and interspective. Sumeru – alive and cycloid.
For Fontain, im not quite sure yet. Maybe, because there is still not enough information regarding plot and everything. 13:39 This sound delivers me feeling of motion, even dance. But one, where you have no control over it. One, where you being led in.Probably, this is what Fontain "Justice" could be about.
I've been obsessed and kept replaying that opera climax at 32:30 even in the trailer.
There's just something with the way it just showed Coppelius and Coppelia peacefully dancing — but then you realize they are two monsters, not humans. All at the same time with that eerily dark background and opera climax. Idk but it just gave me chills. They could've just showed a cool action scene at that part, but they didn't. Instead, we get that contrasting part (and then the action), which for me was a good choice and well done.
22:07 that constant clicking in the background is actually the violins playing Col legno, which adds amazingly to the texture. It means to play with the stick part of the bow, hitting the string percussively, and tying it to the concept of water, it’s reminiscent of small pattering of water, like rain. The music of genshin never fails to surprise and inspire awe
You were so spot on with the personalities of lyney, lynette, and freminette just by listening to their themes
Hope we met good ol' Mr Dvorak at some point in fontaine 😉
Very nice Sir.
You are why I'm blessed to be playing a game like Genshin and having a community that you're a part of.
I didn't expect to get some insight into the story through music. Thabk you very much Mr. Meatball😊
I’m curious what was the First Nation to be known for its carnival aesthetic. Cuz I constantly get this vibe for Fontaine.
Thank you so much for discussing everything. I really love how Genshin makes the gaming community and classical music community unite. Thank you for explaining everything, I have no classical music knowledge but I totally understand it.
there's a part of the first song played on the concert that reminds me of the phantom train on ff6 14:52
https://youtu.be/eCcaFkQEAcU?t=13
Fontaine's ost has very nostalgic parts that remind me of the ghost train from FF VI
This was such an informative video! thanks for explaining all this, it was really enjoyable to watch!
alternate title : Dvorak giving us heads up for what to expect from his homeland personally
The first part of the live symphony gave me saint saëns vibes at times, especially the beginning and his piece "aquarium". Loved it
When you realize we are getting information from a Fontaine expert named Dvorak … 😊
0:15 i cannot believe i didn't catch that…
On point analysis. Thank you Marco!
The orchestration of the theme of Fontaine has done something that makes me very interested in the lore of the nation.
Up until now, voices have had an incredibly rigid defined function: they could show up in music pieces, but mostly as accompainment. They would only take the central melody if the place has a very deep and important lore or are places littered with heavy memories: Dvalin's nest, Enkanomiya at night when the spirits come out, the Eternal Oasis, the pool of Amrita.
Voices also show up when it's a boss fight of a character full of resentment over the past: Dvalin, Azhdaha, Signora and Scaramouche.
Voices also appear, mostly in solo voices, humming the main theme of the whole game out in the open in Mondstadt, which makes sense because there's a lot of deep untold lore in those hills and the Anemo Archon is linked to the Goddess of Time.
So… WHY DOES THIS WHOLE NATION'S MAIN THEME HAVE A BIG CHOIR SINGING SAID MAIN THEME???? WHAT KIND OF WORLD TWISTING LORE ARE WE ABOUT TO WITNESS???????
You have no idea how good the other battle themes are😢😢😢
I really liked this style! (Expect for the browser window covering some of your face. 🥺) You tell us about the music and history about it usually, too, but I really appriciate it that you looked up stuff now and there was a lot of interesting little trivia there. Keep up the good work! ❤
That battlemusic somehowmakes me thinking about 2 men wearing venetian mask and have a sword duel. Well, the music is supposed to represent about French, but i dont know why im imagining a venetian mask.
I swear there is an Aerith's theme reference in the battle theme! Can you hear it? The first 6 notes of her theme…
Man, make sure to get most out of fontaine, I have been waiting for these characters since I saw them on the travail PV. This 100% going to be genshin's most stunning update yet.
