  1. It's ironic to think that the Japanese-hating China would adopt a style of games so similar to Japanese that they can easily mistaken their identity. I guess the teacher's nationalism turned out to be just a big OOF.

  2. This is just the surface of absurdity that happens in China. "Respect the elders" rule is above all else, even if they are wrong. The culture there is so restrictive, a lot of indie game devs fail to surpass this hurdle. Please guys, never take for granted that such a good game exists.

  3. And this is why Blue Protocol is LIGHTYEARS better than Genshin. The art in BP actually looks unique, nuanced, and most importantly for an anime…HAND DRAWN! Not like computed sprites. Japanese art style very unique to Japan

  4. Also some Context Genahin is hates in China by moblie store platefoam, as Mihoyo dont have they game in it beside apple store , so a lot of them including compatitor will hire shill to slander Genshin and its been like that sine the game was announced😅😅

Now i this case its just a principle that power hungery that likes to show he is inchage by berrating the student , and will say anything and in reality he does not care , cose after that scolding the next student performance is the Song from demon slayers.. amd that one is totally ok . Now this all are the information i see from Cn sode as this news is last month old . Safe this say this Principle is in the wrong job he is more of an Politicians then an Educator …

This type of people are all over the world not just China.

  5. As a Chinese American, yes I grew up knowing adults like this principal. My dad was one of them, and he used to hate JP culture. He didn't like how I liked reading "Japanese picture books." A lot of elderly Chinese still harbor resentment for what Japan did to Chinese people in WWII, and some of their children latched on to the negativity. Fortunately there's less millenials and gen Zs like these kids who think/feel the same. Genshin, well all of Hoyo's games are Japanese anime-inspired. This principal clearly knows NOTHING about Genshin and Hoyo. All he saw was the Japanese imagery and he started blindly hating. There's stupid ppl of every culture. 💀

  6. Funny how this guy somehow skipped over Inazuma entirely. The region actually based on Japan to complain about Sumeru instead. As for Chinese culture, the richest region in all of Teyvat being Liyue is Chinese culture being represented, and it's represented strongly.

  8. the school principal is actually is right. Literally every chinese waifu game is inspired from japanese game and culture. He may just don't want japanese culture affected chinese culture in his school. At least he isn't banning student playing them.

  9. To be fair it is a cheap copy of Japanese game. When u steal other people's content so much that even your own people don't know which is which 🤣

  10. TO BE FAIR. THE GAME IS "JAPANESE."

It may be made by a Chinese developer, but they literally call themselves "TECH OTAKU" And last I checked Otaku isn't a chinese word, nor are the game visuals, both in game and in splash art, chinese. There are a lot of chinese games with their brand and style of art and culture, so… Genshin Impact is DEFINITELY, aesthetically and trope-wise, Japanese culture inspired.

  11. A chinese company now based in Singapore makes a anime style game releases a Germany like area, a China like area, one Japan like area, one Greek like area, one hell like area and a rain forest and desert area (based on so many real life places that I won't list because too many).

This dude is like the old people here in south america, every Pokemon is Pikachu, every anime is "that chinese cartoon" and every anime MC is Goku.

  12. its still wrong because ITS NEITHER CHINESE OR JAPANESE CULTURE

Its Persian , the dance, the song, neilous deign and sumeru is south east asian based too
So yeah everyone in the end is stupid

  13. I am Chinese myself. Although the whole thing is pretty funny, it is also pretty sad. Because none of these would ever happen few years ago. Nowdays everything in China can be political, if you can understand this you can kinda understand why the principal act like this. Because university is a kind of political place now in China.

  14. What's more ironic is, Inazuma (Genshin's Japanese region) is a bit lackluster in comparison to Liyue (Chinese region) and Sumeru (Egypt/Middle Asia region)

Hell, one of the game's characters, Yun Jin, is a Peking opera singer that has Chinese voicelines and has a cutscene where she sings EXCLUSIVELY in Chinese, regardless of the game's language setting

It shows just how well the music scores and regional culture is written to make people believe the game isn't a generic "made in China" game

  15. Chinese culture, what gets presented outwardly; has been carefully controlled, guided, and defined by the CCP. The CCP has been slowly destroying its history, propping up a false history, and destroying any means to remember or describe the true Chinese culture.
