Just a few hours ago, HoYoverse finally officially announced the schedule for the version 4.0 special program livestream on Genshin Impact official twitter page
The special program for the new version will premiere on the official Twitch channel on Friday August 4 at 07:30 AM (UTC-4) it will also be broadcast on the official YouTube channel 1 hour later, so, make sure you check your time zone, hereโ€™s the list from the different time zone
Donโ€™t miss this livestream because, it will feature juicy details about new game content and developments in Version 4.0, and It will also drop 300 Primogems redemption codes These codes will expire in just 16 hours after the livestream
During the livestream, HoYoverse is expected to announce the new characters, banners, weapons, events, and other important news regarding version 4.0
as we already know from the drip marketing a while time ago, Lyney, Lynette, and Freminet are the first Fontaine characters to be released in version 4.0
Lyney is a 5-star Pyro Bow character, Lynette is a 4-star Anemo Sword character, and Freminet is also 4-star but heโ€™s a Cryo Claymore character
For the rerun banners, itโ€™s still not confirmed yet but I have counted the banners from version 3.0 to version 3.8, hereโ€™s the list. the higher the number next to the character, the longer they havenโ€™t got a rerun since version 3.0
so, some of these characters are likely to get rerun first, please note that this is just a speculation, if you want to be sure, we should wait for the official information which we can get on the livestream in 2 days
In the announcement, HoYoverse also tell us about the version 4.0 new features and upgrades, inlcuding, Artifact Inventory Limit will be increased to 1,800 from 1,500
including
8 Artifact Sets that can be exchanged will be added to Mystic Offering in the Crafting Bench, New Battle Pass Weapons, The Multi-Layered Map, and many more
They also told us how to get to the Fontaine Region Apparently, you only need to complete the Archon Quest in Mondstadt, after that, a Teleport Waypoint in Sumeruโ€™s Realm of Farakhkert will unlock automatically, and You will be able to use this to quickly arrive near Fontaine
Not only that, they finally listened to playersโ€™ complaints regarding the current cumbersome process of equipping Artifacts. They are currently discussing a new plan to help Travelers select and equip Artifacts as quickly as possible.
The dev team has also noticed that the current Daily Commission mechanics are not flexible enough, so, in the future Travelers will be able to obtain daily rewards in a new format.
Maybe it will be similar to Honkai Star Rail Daily Training Activity, where we can choose several options to complete it
Last but not least, 2 hours before the livestream there is usually a raffle event, where players can have the chance to win 10 intertwined fates, but unfortunately the rewards are very limited because, only 50 players can get it

  24. Imo, Daily mission system should be optional.Add more daily like 8 dailies, and you can choose which 4 quests you want to do. Two is for Npc interaction, Two is Mini games, Two is Combat and Last two is Puzzle or Tower Defense. Bringing Honkai systems won't work on Genshin which is open world rpg. We have to play like open world rpg.
    Alll in alll, I can't wait for Fontaine. Sumeru has been a bless for me with Exploration World Quests, OST and Archon Quests. Stream punk is my favorite theme of all time anyway.
