Honestly, her skill seems to more resemble the folks with holds vs. taps. It's not like she can intersperse skill uses with other attacks to create more freeform combos (like Diluc or Xiao), nor does she have a full-on weapon mode swap like Tartaglia or Raiden's Burst (though Raiden's swap doesn't move that differently, besides the dash and the CRAZY DAMAGE). Rather she reminds me of Shenhe and Eula's versatility in their hold and tap abilities having very different purposes and uses (esp. Shenhe, who chooses between buffing normal attacks and buffing skills/bursts).
Can't tell until her release. It's all speculations now.

I love this concept, Making a character for a specific team only. I'm bored when they release a character and you always can use national team for that character.
It's an intersting idea and I really like her design but I don't plan on wishing for her personally, she doesn't really fit my playstyle and I'm not really a fan on being limited on what characters we can use with her
Am i the only one confused? First part of her passive at 00:44 says "If there is at least one Dendro and one Hydro in the party … the Golden Chalice Bounty applies", which means we can add one cryo or anemo to the party… Or am i reading it wrong?

It seems the characters being released lately have their future potential locked until newer units with synergy come out. This way, if you missed out on banners, you'll be more incentivized to pull in later reruns. Smart marketing by Hoyo!

i’m definitely a fan of hyper specific characters, just because i’m a huge fan of minmaxing, but i’m a little disappointed with the idea that eventually, there’s going to be a ‘best team’ to run her with. like how xiangling is tied to bennett and hu tao to xingqiu- there’s going to be an undeniable Best way to play her. as a whale, i’m still concerned about the fact that, for a f2p, her only full f2p team is traveller, collei (who is getting added to abyss rewards) and barbara. like there’s no wriggle room there, that’s the team. that just makes me a little sad, i guess. even gorou has a fair amount of team options considering his kit- he’s used best with itto, albedo and noelle but the geo buff (and if you have cons, minor healing and crit dmg buff) is good on any geo unit, plus he’s a great battery.
i’m excited to pull for her on my second account, where kokomi is a huge part of my roster, but i don’t think i’m willing to put my primos behind a character that’s going to have such a strict meta. still, i guess we won’t really see until we get to play her. i was disappointed with kokomi on release and yet here we are! i think i’ve learnt to put a little more faith in the combat designers over at mihoyo, lol.
I think they should have just made her so that if she's in the team all Dendro Cores become Bountiful ones…
One thing is "niche" (e.g. Shenhe), another is "restricted".
You don't define new teams by limiting player choices, but allowing new synergies by releasing characters that "naturally" end up working well together.

What about Cyno? We also do not have a lot of dendro units for him, i know that Quicken + Aggravate does not need a lot of dendro application but the Traveler and Collei kits suport are not that good, which makes me think if initially it will be better to use Cyno without Aggravate
Most characters have a small handful of "ideal teammates", that's why we often see lists of recommended teams for each character.
Nilou's strong tendency for hydro/dendro teams is just a different angle on the same principle, and that doesn't bother me at all.
Now that you mention it, multiple functions in one input and chaining inputs can give more depth to both gameplay and character. It will be easy to execute and fun, just as how Devil May Cry did it.
Watch her be a mid character then they release her BiS artifact set
