A good chunk of my music is done by @tnbee https://www.youtube.com/@tnbee/videos they make awesome covers of hoyoverse music! check them out!

A lot of information in general I learn from theorycrafters and creators such as Zajef77 https://www.youtube.com/@Zajef77, The Genshin Scientist https://www.youtube.com/@TheGenshinScientist, Jamie https://www.youtube.com/@jamiekb9v, Jstern25 https://www.youtube.com/@jstern25, Flip https://www.youtube.com/@FliponYT Thundah https://www.youtube.com/@Thundah090/videos and of course KQM https://keqingmains.com/ . If I ever directly lift any specific info from any of them specificially I will additionally credit with a shoutout in the video or first part of description. I always do my own extensive testing of course, but often these guys create a baseline that every creator starts at, and most of us wouldn’t be able to do what we do to the level we do it without these guys creating a foundation. If you think anyone else should be credited here, let me know and I’d love to add them.

  1. One of the amazing people in our discord @akidnamednari speaks Chinese and was able to dig a little more into the job postings:

in addition to the reddit post and i looked at the job hiring website.
its interesting to me that they are looking for stuff like
-they want to separate combat into small variables for creating new levelling
-on the actual hiring website, jobs are divided to
    a) Operation: for system optimization, susitainable creator system, promiting content creation, promoters of the UGC content
    b) level designers: creating white box gameplay, able to respond to user feedback
    c) system optimisers:
    d) *combat designers: * character design, develop new type of enemy, responding to coordinate, organizing and sorring development pipeline , coordinating with different department

  2. Oooh I don't know man, with how badly they have cultivated such a disaster of a community, and now they add a game mode that feel like they use this community to create for them some game modes and if any of those that blew up to be potentially become an individual game, they will yoink it first. Basically they use their strength of having a big player base to do this to squeeze value out of them. Neglect the player base for 4 years, treat them like shit and now in the time they have to do an end game mode because there's that one game which clearly has better end game than they are is close to release, they now do this shit.

  3. On minecraft java the user generated content tends to fall under 3 categories:

mods/datapacks -> can basically make anything happen, but genshin won’t really do those

maps -> user-made worlds that focus on something, sometimes it’s a story, sometimes it’s parkour, sometimes mini games. this i could definitely see done, could be fun to have player made quests in player designed areas (could work similar to the teapot but significantly more flexible)

servers -> generally made by larger teams, often boast lots of mini games, basically imagine all the mini games we got from events but you can play them anytime as much as you want. (tho servers can also look similar to maps)

on windows it’s similar but there’s addons instead of mods which are more curated and come with a map (but they are paid for)

  4. It looks like maybe they want to do with Genshin what Fortnite is doing. Minecraft(at this point now) and Roblox are just a sandbox for game/level development. Fortnite launched that Lego custom game mode stuff and the game list on there looks very similar to Roblox now. With how many Mario Party/Wario ware minigame type things as well as the user created dungeon event last year, I can see they have the infrastructure now to do the same thing with competent designers and programmers. But I do agree, we'd need some kind of reward structure as well as the ability to use what we've earned/purchased in-game along with these created levels/games.

  5. Your last point is so crucial. Give me 20 Primos every week for the four Taverne TCG matches and I would play it, that isn't even 1 wish per patch. The only thing I do in without rewards is playing the Test character chambers of characters I don't have and enjoy over and over again and fight world bosses to test my team comps.

  6. If they iterate upon the labyrinth warriors event and make it playable in co-op, it would be no exaggeration to say this would entirely revolutionise the game going forward, and would finally put the co-op in this co-op gacha action RPG!

  7. This could be… perfect? Let's say you could create jumping puzzles, hide and seek, tower defense, boss rushes, rogue-likes, etc. basically a huge mish mash of previous Genshin events into user generated maps. You could get a weekly quest saying "complete (x) number of activities this week for (x) amount of primogems" that would be genuinely amazing? It's like choosing the type of endgame content you wish to enjoy and get rewards for. It would increase the rewards you get which is a big complaint about the game, but also cater to all different kinds of players, not just ones that enjoy spiral abyss.

My only hope is that people who create game modes get rewarded for their time and effort. I.e. upvoting someone's game gave them primogems or other in-game rewards. With future minigames and events they could progressively add onto the list of things people can create. Honestly… if this is what Genshin ends up creating I would genuinely be so happy.

Also if this gave no rewards it'd be a massive disappointment. Giving it a weekly like Simulated Universe for 300-600 primogems for doing a couple of activities would be perfect. Like yes it would be fun for awhile if it gave no rewards, but it would be quickly be moved on from besides goofing around with friends or streamers making fun events together. They could please everyone if they give rewards to this.

  8. So, basically turning it into a Garry's Mod/Roblox type situation, where we have a wide variety of game modules? Honestly, I would not complain about. Especially if we can get user-generated combat content as well, it can appeal to multiple crowds. The problem is that this likely won't be coming to Genshin for a couple more years, quite possibly even not until the main story content is concluded. So in the short term, Genshin will probably still have it's [lack of endgame] problem.

  9. Genshin really needs some kind of "Arcade Mode" where people can create their own "Domains" or some kind(although we already had that feature but for some reason it isn't available anymore, maybe it wasn't permanent, but you were only tied to making mini 'parkour' types of domains). Within those custom modes, there could be so much variety, like anyone in the game can make a custom mode. Similar to dota 2 arcade mode, so many modes are being played than the actual game itself. Could be nice to see how differently people see the "End game"

Also, THE past events of genshin Could be appropriate as end game, most likely the Hyakunin Ikki event from inazuma, very similar to simulated univerese of Star rail. Or the Misty Dungeons or Energy Amplifier, mix those together and you'd have a good end game content. They actually rerun misty dungeons just recently this 4.2. Or maybe even have a TD(Tower Defense) like Theatre Mechanicus, which we have been able to experience more than once already, why not have these as permanent features just with a few tinkering it could work perfectly without it being "unrelated" to the patch or something, that's the problem, the game is Patch Focused; meaning they impliment whatever the patch is planned for and cannot add anything unrelated to it, even the abyss is related to the current patches. We do have a permanent Turn Based Card game mode like hearthstone although, Having TCG as a permenent feature of the game is a bit boring, specially if the game is Combat Oriented.

It is also worth having contents that test your character's strength. Would specially make other players go back to playing the game,to have the higher Level accounts have something to do with their well built characters. I can see so many ar60(including me) doing weekly boss domains in coop mode just to help out others clear it (they dont even collect the weekly boss mats) so they have something to do with their favorite or best characters.

My point is, the Spiral Abyss AS an End Game Content needs something other than itself. The content itself doesn't even have a quest line, we just randomly portal'd on the abyss and have to defeat some random garbage every now and then. 600 primos every 14 days as well is just bare minimum, even if you got welkins and battlepass (i personally have them).

They're focusing too much on individual mini games on events that don't even come back.

  10. Some kind of endless arena with leaderboards and stuff where the waves can be created by people themselves would be cool yeah. Will also expose how people dont really want more content that badly when there are no rewards.

  11. just my opinion. i would like an upgraded version of phantom flow event realeased in 2.0. or upgraded version of hyakunin ikki in 2.1, or repeatable bounty / requests, something like quest board near katheryne, that rewards you with an item that have random items in it (RNG) gems 2-5 gems will do.(low chance), mora, upgrade mats, talent mats, boss mats.( depending on region ) fowl, mint sweetflower ETC. you get the idea.

  12. what i really wanna know. what will the rewards be? mere mora, xp scrolls and materials or primo, wishes and/or crown (i know crowns are mats, but they're in limited numbers and can't be farmed in any way).

i also wonder if we'll be able to get free chars with that, like for xiangling and collei in spiral abyss.

  13. I hope they do a good job of it. If all it does is build party games, count me out. Either way, im expecting a lot of ppl to switch to wuthering waves so it might be too little too late. As always, gotta keep expectations low with mihoyo. These are the same ppl who thought we'd be happy with their "artifact loadouts"

  14. I'm one of the few ones who do Spiral Abyss just for the primos. But since the last time I got 36 stars, I do it again from time to time to test new builds.

The reward aspects will be really important if they want some players to just try it out once.

  15. Hmm so this will basically be kind of like mods in minecraft. I'm really looking forward to how they'll make this work. Thanks a lot for the info i couldn't believe my eyes at first.

  16. I wish there was a 'dream' mode where we had access to all characters at max level with all weapons and relics but unable to make any normal in game impact, like a dream. That would allow everyone to feel like a whale but also incentivize F2P players to possibly spend to achieve their dreams. Alternatively, a dream mode with previous events so new accounts can have access to some of the exclusive weapons they missed out on. That may not be 'fair' to a day 1 player, but if you make it not fun for new accounts then the game will only run off new players as it gets older.

  17. yeah rewards are the big question mark. Little Big Planet user-generated levels are pieces of art, some are dumb, some are funny, some are straight-up marvelous.
I dunno… rewards will problably stingy af

  18. In terms of rewards, I can easily see a system implemented like spiral abyss's rewards. Where Mihoyo features or "promotes" a playlist of User-made gameplay levels that have a decent amount of engagement and difficulty and will earn you primogems. Basically allowing us to make our own events, the best/most popular ones get to be featured for rewards, and Mihoyo gets loads of gameplay data about it.

  19. I think it would be nice if they created something where you could replay past events. Just about all of the games events are lore heavy and with more and more new people playing Genshin and with the game progressing further and further into it's story, it just makes a lot of sense to give players something where they can get that missed information, content, and rewards. Maybe expanding the use of story keys could work for that.

  20. Once upon a time, there was a dungeon crafting event where you could make an obstacle course and share them online. I genuinely enjoyed that aspect of both playing and building and wish I could see more of it.
Beyond that, a bunch of the minigames from early Windblume Festival were genuinely great, but they've never really done those again. There are fun but minor aspects of the game and events that are very enjoyable, but they're too brief or too temporary to really keep me interested. I think this does double back on the debate over whether Windtrace should be permanent or not

  21. This isn't endgame. This is user generated "Events." They are looking to off-load content creation to the users. We already have this on various events like designing and sharing the obstacle courses with codes.

  22. Make it like Disgaea. Let us go into Artifact World, clear some stages of whatever and let us change 1 substat of our choice or change the artifact type. something like that

  23. User generated content is basically sandbox, with r open worrld I think you're looking into this too deeply, you can also look into this as they are looking for devs for future nations
