Recently, we got leaks of the expected damage difference between the new Hydro catalyst and Neuvillette.

Today, we will be discussing the changes in Xbalanque and the Pyro Archon concept art. We’ll also compare the new Hydro catalyst’s damage and see if she’s really going to power creep our Hydro dragon Neuvillette.

Recently, we got updated concept art of Xbalanque and the Pyro Archon from a reliable source, hxg.

After seeing Xbalanque’s concept art, I was very disappointed by his appearance and looks.

I know that it’s based on an old design and not exact, but in the end, he’s going to be based on that design with some changes, so I find him different than expected.

The same goes for the Pyro Archon art. It doesn’t feel like she’s an Archon and a god of war, and I don’t think she’s going to receive many changes in her design.

That’s all about Xbalanque and the Pyro Archon. Now, let’s discuss the female Hydro catalyst DPS.

We will discuss her damage compared to Neuvillette, but first, let’s briefly understand her kit.

We got leaks of her Elemental Skill and constellation by Foul.

Her Elemental Skill lasts 6 seconds with a 4-second cooldown. She walks on water like Yelan, enhances normal attacks, and grants up to 3 stacks. When she’s fully stacked, she releases 5 homing projectiles with high AoE damage and provides self-healing.

That’s all about her Elemental Skill. Now her enhanced normal attacks: 20% base multiplier, plus 20% per stack, plus 60% at max stacks. Her max stacks clear and fire a homing projectile. Drops sourcewater droplets similar to Neuvillette that extend the E duration and health.

Her kit combines aspects of Yelan, Kokomi, Furina, and Neuvillette.

We also have leaks of her constellation.

Her C1: Extra 100% HP multiplier for attacks and projectiles.
And C6: 100% HP multiplier per hit, boosts crit rate and damage.

I’m not that interested in her C6 as an F2P, but her C1 looks good to me.

That’s all about her kit leaks we got.

Now let’s discuss her damage comparison to Neuvillette and if she will really power creep Neuvillette.

According to hxg and tl gouba, her damage is higher than Neuvillette’s as per deep testing.

But based on my assumption and the leaks we have, if Neuvillette gives 10k damage on average, the new Hydro catalyst will give a maximum of 11k to 12k damage on average. It will not make much difference, and remember, she will be getting nerfs and changes in beta.

In the end, she has some advantages in her kit, but overall, Neuvillette is better with his team.

So Neuvillette havers, rest assured, our Hydro dragon will still be the best.
