Version 4.8 update is expected to go live on July 17, and it will be the last patch of the Fontaine Arc. In this video, we are going to discuss all banners for version 4.8, including the new chronicled wish banner.

Although we haven’t gotten any 5-star characters in any X.8 patches in the past, it is now confirmed that we will get a new 5-star in the upcoming 4.8 update. According to the official drip marketing, version 4.8 will see Emilie debut as a brand-new playable character. She is expected to be a 5-star Dendro unit and a polearm user.

Although the drip marketing has confirmed that Emilie will be the only new playable character in version 4.8, it is still unclear whether she will appear on the first or second-half banners. Depending on the schedule, her banner might be released either on July 17 or August 7. Since every new 5-star character in Fontaine has gotten their banner in phase one, I’m guessing Emilie will appear in the first phase.

We still don’t know much about Emilie, but here’s a quick recap of what we know. According to information via Foul, Emilie’s kit may be focused on effectively using the Burning elemental reaction. It is expected that her talents may buff burn damage by 30% while reducing the self-inflicted damage by 95%. Additionally, Emilie’s signature weapon may be a polearm offering 608 base attack and a 33.1% crit rate at level 90.

Moving on to the rerun banners. Four characters are waiting to get their rerun banner: Wriothesley, Shenhe, Nilou, and Kokomi. Since Hoyoverse has started to rerun one Fontaine character since the 4.5 update, I’m assuming that Wriothesley will get his banner in 4.8. Another reason for this assumption is that Natlan will buff Cryo and Hydro characters in 5.0, so they might as well rerun some Cryo and Hydro characters.He was released in 4.1 alongside Neuvillette, who already got a rerun in 4.5, so it’s high time they gave him a rerun.

Other than Wriothesley, Shenhe and Nilou are two of the most anticipated and awaited characters for a rerun in 4.8. I don’t need to tell you about Shenhe since I’ve mentioned her a hundred times, but Nilou hasn’t had a rerun since 3.6, so both of these characters deserve a banner in 4.8.Hoyo has to put them on the limited event wish because they have only had two banners so far, so they can’t appear on the chronicled wish banner.

Other than these two, Kokomi is the only character from Inazuma who hasn’t received a rerun in Fontaine. She got her last banner in 3.8 if I remember correctly, so I don’t know how they’re planning to handle that. But since she has received three banners, there’s a chance that they’ll put her on the chronicled wish. However, they can’t do it in 4.8 because Liyue characters are expected to appear on the next chronicled wish banner. So if they’re planning to put her on it, it has to be a mixed banner, but the chances of that happening are extremely low. We know that the chronicled wish in 4.5 specifically featured Mondstadt characters and their weapons, so the next one has to be a Liyue special banner since they are the second oldest characters according to their release dates. And if you remember, there’s one more character who hasn’t appeared in any of the Fontaine banners, and that is Ganyu. Therefore, limited characters like Ganyu, Childe, Yelan, and possibly Hu Tao, and standard characters like Keqing and Qiqi, along with their signature weapons, are expected to appear.

So the banners for version 4.8 might be Emilie and Wriothesley in phase one, and Shenhe and Nilou in phase two, plus the chronicled wish banner if it appears in 4.8. These are just my speculations based on previous patterns and some leaks, so they’re subject to change.

  6. i’m stuck between going for c1 wiro (i pulled when he released) or nilou…i want nilou for her beautiful playstyle and well sumeru is my favorite! but wrio’s c1 is good..

  14. if that's the case I will have to save more. I have enough to have Shenhe guaranteed but if Shenhe and Nilou are in the same Phase that's a must pull Weaponbanner for me. So after i got Shenhe I will try to get their Weapons but I need some more Primos for that!

I want Childe(lost 5050last time),……..but I won't have even like 20wishes to pull for him,as I want Alhaitham too.UUUUUh so frustrating.Even though I have terrible luck,I hope I can get Childe,and I don't care if it will be for nothing if I can't get him,I am still gonna pull))Good luck everybody

    We need more 4* dendro(s). There are 4 4* dendro and like (if you include traveler) 5 5* dendro. Now we are adding Emilie, which would make it 4/6.

    I feel like the 5* in this element are more common than they should be. I know how we talk about 5* being guaranteed to get eventually, but what happens if you’re f2p w/ not enough pity or lose your 50/50 with nothing to spare? Ik certain 4*s you want are not guaranteed but there are pretty fair chances to get the one you want b4 a 5* depending on your luck.

    There are many more characters in other elements who get reruns more often than they should. And I know dendro is a newer element, but the only character that you are definitely able to get is collei from abyss. Even then, she is compared to other dendro characters ( 4*s or 5* alike) who haven’t rerun in ages (like kaveh FOR EXAMPLE, compared to Alhaitham). Nonetheless I think we need more dendro 4* and for them to be rerun more often, because even if I have a FEW dendro characters it’s hard to experiment with an element that SHOULD have a fair chance with the others for reruns. Not just 5*, 4* are supposed to be common yet are not. Thank you for listening, and reading have a good day.

  36. Jesus… I’m literally saving up my primos for sigewinne and furina.. And the next patch my Queen of Queens might be having a rerun Kokomi.. And her trusted advisor in my world Nilou. Two of my queens… And EMILIE is making her appearance… Navia might even potentially have the rerun at 4.8 and I’ve been saving up and farming for her weapon (even I don’t have it yet)… So help me god 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
